Muse at the end
Muse at the end serves a full menu at the bar Wednesday through Sunday in the winter. High top tables are first come, first serve and can not be reserved. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday the dinning room is closed however full service and menu is available at the bar and bar tables. Friday and Saturday the dinning room and bar are open.
During the summer we are open 7 days a week.
Always great from service to food and drinks. They never fail to deliver.
We had to eait for a server, 15 minutes. The food was very salty and lacked the flavor and taste that youbwould expect ay a high end restaurant. Very bad experience for an expensive dinner.
The meals were delicious. Pork chops are recommended.
We went back the next night for burgers. They were great also.
My boyfriend and I had a great meal at this restaurant during the off season (January). Service was great, food was delicious, very enjoyable. Being one of the only restaurants in the area that is still open during the off season, it was packed for dinner. The only downside is that it was very noisy, so much so that we had to repeat ourselves to be heard over the chatter. There was a very large and loud group sitting in the center of the room that was responsible for most of the noise, but the acoustics of the room make it so all of the sounds echo and bounce off of the walls. It would be helpful to add some sort of texture/materials to the walls or floor to absorb some of the noise.
Very enjoyable New Years' Eve dinner -- we ate early and had a lovely meal
Your rating query did not ask about the creativity of the cuisine which is worth mentioning. The menu offerings were inventive but avoided dishes that try too hard to be trendy - faux cuisine. The chicken with artichoke was a wonderful marriage. Also, we were pleasantly surprised by their early bird prix fix even on a weekend. The waitstaff was cheerful without being saccharine.
Muse is a good place to dine. There was live music which was enjoyed by the bar crowd and mercifully shielded from us with glass doors which allowed for conversation as we ate.
Really nice restaurant and food was great will definitely be back
Amazing restaurant! Everything is top notch and amazing! Service was exceptional and so was the food and drinks!
None of us in our party of four had ever been here before, but when we walked in the door, it was clear we were in a locally popular establishment. Many restaurants in this town were closing for the season, but Muse was in full swing. The food arrived promptly, except for one person’s in our party whose dinner arrived 5 minutes later. Not too terrible. All of our dishes were delicious and nicely presented. We would welcome the chance to return here.
Excellent first visit to Muse, wonderful attentive wait staff. Food was outstanding. One of best dining experiences on Long Island.
We visit every October and Muse is our go to for dinner! Everyone is friendly from the hostess to servers. The food is prepared well and great options. The bar room is great and service is solid. Nice wine list and good overall value.
The food was good. Restaurant was busy and felt very rushed by staff. Asked several times if we were done with our plates prior to finishing our meal. Ambiance was mediocre. Would not recommend or be back anytime soon.
We arrived a bit before our reservation, and were seated promptly. We requested the prix fixe menu to compare it to the regular menu. We ordered from the prix fixe menu. The vegetable soup (chicken base) was good but a bit greasy tasting and a small portion. The meatball appetizer consisted of three nice sized, tasty meatballs. Our drinks arrived a bit later than they should’ve but the wine pour was generous and the rum punch packed a punch in the full mason jar in which it was served. The warm, crusty roll was delicious served with selections of butter, olive oil, and sun dried tomato spread. For main dishes, the salmon scallopini was good, but everything on the dish needed salt badly. The salmon was not really noteworthy; it was just good. It sat atop a nice amount of pea purée and was surrounded by a couple of fingerling potatoes, Brussels sprouts and some other vegetable I couldn’t identify. The Brussels sprouts were so undercooked and tough that I could barely get my fork into them. I told the waitress and she apologized and said she’d get me a side of Brussels Sprouts to make it up to me. When they came, they were nicely roasted, deliciously seasoned (much better than what had been served with my dish), but only slightly more cooked, still tougher than they should’ve been. I guess the chef just doesn’t know how long to cook Brussels Sprouts. On the second main dish plate, plain baked salmon, there was a scoop of delicious mashed potatoes that was very creamy and rich, and some ratatouille that had nice cherry tomatoes in it.
For dessert, the rice pudding with strawberries and raspberries and fresh whipped cream was just perfect for sharing. Overall, having ordered from the special menu (only available, I believe, from 5-6:30pm), we felt was good value for our money, especially since Montauk restaurants are fairly uniformly pricey. The service was very good and it was nice to be able to hear each other talk. We were happy with our meal and would go back.
My favorite place in Montaulk ... amazing time, great service
We love this restaurant. Great menu and incredible staff.
Mixed experience. Noisy due to a few cackling women and an annoying table with 3 kids not being properly monitored by their parents. Grilled salmon very good but portion size not quite equivalent to the price. Pork chops very good. Vegetable portions very small although also very good. Service a bit nonchalant. When parents are allowing kids to walk around their table in circles with napkins draped over their heads and drum on the table , the staff needs to intervene to preserve a relaxing experience for their guests.
Food was good. Wait staff was outrageous. The hostess had to get our drinks because the waitstaff never came around and then came around after drinks were delivered. They seemed very disinterested. Hostess was lovely.
Food was great! We were early for our reservations and was seated early. Would recommend for a dinner out with family and friends
My husband and I were recommended to Muse for a romantic dinner . We were not disappointed in the least! The menu was creative and appealing. Staff were helpful, enthusiastic and eager to please. We enjoyed both our fish meals and the salad was plentiful for sharing! We ended our meal with a tasty dessert.
Great dining experience. Food was delicious, service attentive and highly recommend.
Great food and service but the main dining room is rather noisy. Some curtains or other sound absorbing material on the wall and/or ceiling would certainly make the experience even more pleasant. Perhaps the owners will consider this.
I had read about Muse and the food didn't disappoint. All of the food was amazing. I had the shrimp and mussels fra diavalo. Off the charts. Others had the pork chops and the scallops all great, so the food is awesome. The service not so much. It took 10+ minutes for the server to come over and take our drink order. She was very nice but not very attentive. The noise level was very high and the ambiance was just ok. I would definitely go back and hope that the service was better.
Wonderful experience and all staff was great! Would definitely go back!
great experience, wonderful service. I want to come back other times
Was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the plates and how tasty everything was. Price fix menu also available for early seatings.
Wonderful dinner with my daughters to celebrate the end of one of their bachelorette weekends. Excellent food and service.
Amazing service and great food! Wonderful drink specials! Beautiful bar setting and outdoor seating is available!
This is the first time that we have been at Muse. The recommendations were relatively mixed when we reviewed the restaurant. we have been coming to Montauk every summer for years. The décor of the restaurant was excellent. neat lighted bar. we sat outside and I would recommend this because one of the sections inside was a little noisy. By far, the best restaurant that we have been to at Montauk.
One of the finest meals we ever experienced. The decor beautiful, the service perfect, cocktails and wine excellent and food that is one of best to experience
We dined here on Saturday 16th September and had a blast. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared with great new mixed ingredients that got the taste buds going. The staff were fabulous with a special call out to the hostess. Just a perfect night!!!
Food is very fresh and creative and served beautifully. Hostess and server were top notch and very attentive. Even the other patrons are nice -- one offered to take a picture of myself and my husband. We arrived at 6:20 and got a 3-course meal for $35. Amazing value.
Very nice restaurant. Great food and ambiance. A little pricey.
Thank you for a great night of dinner and drinks with our friends. My daughter and son in law have been to Muse early September and loved it!! They suggested we visit the restaurant and we all fell in love with everything about it!! Your waitstaff especially was on the mark!! Great food and cocktails... all in all a great place to have good food and have fun!! Thank you again!! Katherine T
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was epic. Greeted warmly by the genial hostess, we were seated straightaway and offered an expansive 4 top near the window, awarding us a front row seat to the ensuing dramatic storm outside.
The FOH staff was brisk and attentive, with warm, sincere manners that made my partner and I feel very comfortable right away.
The restaurant didn't have the homey feel I often favor in restaurants (somewhere I can let my hair down) but it was decorated smartly (my partner and I disagreed about the led bar) clean and neat as a pin.
Everything was perfect, from the linen to the smallware and it made us feel that we were dining in capable hands.
The wine list (I'm in the business) was quite nice, albeit a bit safe. We started with cocktails and both the Watermelon Cucumber Martini and the Mint Julep were right on the money, another good sign.
Apps were Cauliflower Fritti and Street Corn Fritters. My first fritter, disappointingly, was ice cold in the middle, intimating that they were perhaps previously frozen, but still, really tasty and quite fresh, so even if they were frozen I suspect they are made on premise and thoughtfully so. Cauliflower: A+
My main was Diver Scallops on a bed of Pea and Parmesan Risotto and garnished w/ fresh pea shoots. The Scallops were prepared (seared) quite nicely. Risotto was flavorful and well textured, a great pairing for the seriously fresh scallops, in turn pairing well with a glass of local Chardonnay. My partner had a magnificently dressed and composed beet and parm salad and a side of the Risotto.
We ordered chocolate Mousse for dessert. It was my partner's birthday and without me having to ask they bought out the plate with HBD written on it in chocolate and a candle, very thoughtful and sweet.
Overall, I recommend this place for couples or groups of adults who are looking for a crowd-pleaser w/ impeccable quality and solid options. We'll be back if they'll have us.
Good food, good service. Expensive.
Montauk is a little challenged for great restaurants. Muse is in the top 3 for delicious food....great menu....good service.....pretty place. We highly recommend it.
Lovely meal in a lovely setting.
This has become one of my favorite restaurants. I picked it for my birthday this year and everyone at the restaurant made me feel special and the food was beyond delicious and beautifully prepared.
Food delicious, tables in a row not much privacy but all good. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend
The restaurant was very good and the price fix menu was a great deal for great food and service. Open table asked for comments and we put in it was our first time there and we were celebrating our 22 year anniversary . I was disappointed that there was no acknowledgement of our anniversary . I suppose that’s a meNingless box to write additional comments in. The dinner was still great
