Muse at the end Ratings and Reviews
Booked this place for a birthday dinner for my wife. It was a very nice place. Service was amazing. Abby is the BEST. We had an interesting group at the center table. They proceeded to drink and get very loud. At one point they offended a male couple who left before even getting a cocktail. Not sure what really happened there. However, the Resturant took very good care of us and I assure you we will return. Other thank the rude guests the rest was fabulous
Muse had very good reviews. Nice looking place when you drive up. Nice bar scene with live music. Restaurant looks very nice - nice lighting. The wine list could use a substantial upgrade. Cod dinner was particularly nice and so was the artichoke soup, but burger was nothing special. Service was nice and friendly but the kitchen was slow. The bill was reasonable.
Outstanding menu options. Be sure to ask for something you'd like if it is not on the menu. The seating is a bit crowded and the dinner rush can get very loud around 8p. The bar has flat screens playing sports. The bar and dining area are separated by a wall, which is nice. This is not a restaurant for budget dining. The wait staff is kind and attentive. THERE IS NO PARKING LOT. So you will more than likely be parking on the roadside. There is outdoor seating that I have yet to experience. However, there is a plant nursery next door and the smell of fertilizer sweeps through often. It is not very scenic around the restaurant anyway so dining inside is probably the best option. Inside, the decor is modern and with rustic elements that make the atmosphere a bit more cozy. Hate the nautical/marine themed prints but that is just my personal taste. My fiance and I dined here for our anniversary and he said the chicken with artichoke hearts and capers was the best thing he's ever eaten. I see why Muse was praised so highly by Zagat.
Visited Montauk for our yearly sister weekend In October. This was our first visit at Muse. We had a 745 pm Saturday Night reservation, arrived an hour early and we were easily accomodated. The food is really nice, done well and good value. Our server was great, nice personality and very professional. He was perfect! Overall great experience and we will be back!
I felt like we were pushed in and out of the restaurant we were in there for only 45 minuets from start to finish.the food was okay but my wife asked the waiter if something was spicy and he said no but it was for the money we spent there for what we got I would never go back.
Food was amazing great bar area the tuna poke was probably some of the best I've had my main course was grilled chipotle shrimp which was excellent and the desert of fried zeppole should not be missed the restaurant was so pretty and cozy it was dimly lit and perfect for a great night out for dinner
Muse is conveniently located just outside of Montauk, a pleasant venue and trendy bar.
All off our selections were excellent including the corn/crab fritters, swordfish and scallops. Dessert (a trifle) was also excellent. The wine list was ok and the prices fair. Service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry anyway. Inspire of all the competition in the area, we would return.
My husband and I had a lovely dinner, our food was delicious. We are so glad we have found another great spot in Montauk for dinner. We look forward to returning! The service was really quick that evening so we aren't sure if it is normally that quick but overall awesome!
Heard good things about Muse and wanted to try it... was very impressed with the staff... professional, friendly, very attentive to every table... food was amazing, both in taste and presentation... met the chef and thanked him for great food... again I can't say enough about the service.
First nice first time visit to Muse. Comfortable seating on Sunday evening. Music at the very attractive bar ended shortly after we sat. Menu and food was excellent. Service more than acceptable. While I hadn't been to Montauk for several years, I have to believe this is one of the better dining options.
All four entrees we ordered were terrible. The scallop mac-n-cheese was the least offensive. The tuna was completely bland. The salmon was edible, except for the side dish was disgusting. I could barely find the Brussel sprouts that were smashed together with Fava beans. It looked like canned pet food.
I was beyond disappointed. We eat out a lot and at a range of restaurants. There is a reason why during this high season in the Hampton's that we were able to still book a table last minute here.
The food was very good, but a bit overshadowed by the echo-y atmosphere. The place felt like it could use some art on the wall or something to make it feel less like 4 bare walls. I will also note there is a $4 charge per person if you want to share appetizers... that seems extremely unusual to me.
Absolutely fantastic. This may be the best restaurant in Montauk. The scallop mac n' cheese appetizer is creamy and yummy. The pork chops are amazing and the portion is huge. The salmon is tender and tasty. While it is almost impossible to have room for dessert the cheesecake chimichanga is irresistible. Additionally the service is perfect.
We were a party of four. Two of us had the sea scallops and two of us had the tuna. Brilliant all the way around!
The scallops were tender and tasty. And the tuna was just seared to perfection. The sides accompanying both dishes were also delicious.
Service was attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely visit here again.
Went there for a lite dinner which was in walking distance of our Hotel on the beach. Were seated right away by a friendly accommodating staff (choice of inside or outside). They had a varied menu selection which I had already checked out on line.
I had the BLT Chop Salad and Burger with a glass of Malbac, and my wide had the Casa salad and the PEI Mussels ala Muse (fabulous).
Although the place was very noisy, the staff were great and we were very pleased with our food and the bill. Would heartily reccommend.
