Muse at Benaroya Hall
We’re tucked away on the main floor of Benaroya Hall, in the Norcliffe Founders Room. Once you’re inside the Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium, just look for the hallway hung with portraits of Symphony musicians, and follow the signs.
We look forward to serving you, our guests, in Muse this season!
It is a quiet and spacious place with big windows looking at the street and water. Service was impeccable. Not a very bid selection for food, but it was very well done. I highly recommend it before going to a performance. Can't beat the convenience.
Second time in a row we have had an unacceptable experience at Muse. Cold food for both of us, sent back, not much better the second time. The convenience of Muse to the Symphony is fantastic, but there are too many good restaurants in the area to justify the poor experience at Muse.
A night at the symphony with dinner beforehand at the Muse is the most stress less night out ever!!! The food is good and because the menu is so limited, even picking your choices is easy. The dinner and paying is timed for you to be able to waltz down the hall to your seats in plenty of time for the performance. The Muse is one of the best kept secrets in town.
We use Muse often before a symphony concert and are always pleased. Tony is an excellent waiter.
We were grateful that Muse honored our reservation even though we were 15 minutes late. We also appreciated the quiet noise level. The food was fine although the rice that was served with the chicken dish was chewy. It might have been undercooked. This is a very convenient place to eat before a performance at Benaroya Hall.
Beautiful room. Cheap, uncomfortable furniture. Too brightly lit. Very high prices compared to the quality of the food. Really an uninspired salad and some dried out, overcooked short ribs served on top of some reasonably good creamy polenta. And a reheated apple crisp for dessert. And all that cost $55 dollars. I guess you pay a high price for location and convenience. The one bright spot? I thought the service was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive.
The Muse is *very* convenient if you are about to attend a concert at Benaroya Hall. The service is very good. However, the menu is quite small, and the food was OK - but nothing really special. Not particularly interesting, pretty average.
We has hopes but a $200 bill for an ok appetizer and a small slice of long past its prime quiche and a tomato and asparagus salad the consisted of 1/4 of a tomato and two one inch pieces of the tough ends of asparagus.
We had an excellent meal at Muse before a concert last week. Service was great! The sweet corn veloute was the highlight of the first courses. It had phenomenal corn flavor and perfect texture. The chicken and the burger were both excellent second courses. The quiche was a little disappointing in flavor, though the texture was good. Prices are very reasonable by Seattle standards.
Wonderful flavors and taste Service great
The food was delicious, the service very professional but friendly. The ambiance was relaxing. In the twenty years attending events at Benaroya we have never been to Muse! It is a well hidden gem!
All of the menu choices were very creative, their presentation was beautiful, and the garnishes were exceptional. Particularly tasty have been the soups. Compliments to the chef, who creates a totally new and exciting menu every two weeks.
The unusually terrible traffic prevented us from arriving on time. not only that, we were almost 1 hour late (7pm) and had a 7:30 concert. we said we'd eat anything, and were served a lovely light, delicious supper, which we quickly ate. All was done easily. Thank you1
Service is excellent. Have never been disappointed by food here. Menu is always changing, so we look forward to something new each time. Ambiance is excellent also.
We had a coupon for our appetizer so opted for the two-course meal (entree and dessert at $45 per person). Our entrees were delicious, but they took so long to arrive that we were very rushed at the end and, unfortunately, the dessert still available at that time was limited to only one. Additionally, we were not given an itemized bill, so we are still unsure as to how they arrived at the total. Not sure what the solution might be, but I think most people would appreciate an itemized bill.
Very good service. Attentive. We had 6:15 reservations ahead of a 8:00 show at Benaroya Hall. We were not rushed at all and ate at a very leisurely pace. All the food was exceptional and we would definitely return here again.
Muse consistently has Excellent soups and tonight (5/10) we had the chicken and salmon entrees and they were the best we have had in Seattle. Muse comes up with interesting dishes that may not always work but are never bad. Also like the absence of piped in music so you can talk without yelling across the table — something that keeps us away from many of their competitors.
A perfect option for dinner before a performance. Extremely efficient - good prices - and so convenient.
It is always a pleasure to dine at the Muse prior to a symphony concert.
The entire staff were professional. I told my dinner companion that it was really nice to have a dinner with adults. Servers were attentive to all our needs and so nice and courteous. I really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and waiter Bob was wonderful!
We love going there before concert. A bit pricey but just the convenience of parking once and then not having to rush about. Food is always great and our waitress, Leslie, was amazing. She remembered us! This was our 3rd time there.
Our dinner at Muse was wonderful. Food was excellent and service was friendly and timely. Drinks were a little slow in coming due to a new bartender but overall our experience was great. A great way to start off an evening of wonderful music provided by the Seattle Symphony. Overall a great time in Seattle.
Quiet, not crowded, delicious food, good service. Very convenient for anyone attending a performance at Benaroya. My only suggestion would be to have a bit of signage to direct newcomers to the restaurant.
Can't add anything to the review I have just posted.
We were particularly pleased that the service kept us well on schedule to leave for the Symphony performance with a few minutes to review the program before the concert started.
Very enjoyable and positive experience attending an evening at the symphony
New chef is fabulous!! We love the quiet and peaceful ambience at Muse.
The Muse experience was overall very nice. The quality and quantity of the food was spot on, not leftovers and really tasty.
The restaurant is lovely. You can't beat the convenient location, right inside the hall where the concerts are held. The menu is quite creative and the presentation and food are excellent. I can't say enough about the service. Our server was efficient and attentive, and she made any number of trips to the kitchen to consult with the chef about my food restrictions. Highly recommend.
We went to Muse for an early dinner before a show at the Benaroya Hall. The food was delicious, service and treatment were both great. Bobby took care of us and he made sure to find something gluten free for my husband who was not going to be able to have the bread before dinner.
It’s a great place and great value for the food served. I recommend it highly.
It's one of the most visually beautiful rooms for dining in Seattle. The service is attentive but unobtrusive; and the food is excellent. The whole experience is relaxing; putting the diner in a fine frame of mind for the music one is about to hear.
We had a good meal in a quiet and enjoyable setting. The service was excellent.
The menu is very limited and the entrées range from acceptable to poor. The first course was even less impressive. The hummus had no flavor at all and was stylishly wrapped in who knows what. The short ribs were dry and without flavor as well. The sea bass was well presented but again, needed more sauce and flavor.
The restaurant has a lovely setting and we appreciate its proximity to the hall, but given cost and the lack of culinary delight, we will not be likely to recommend it to friends.
Nice meal, excellent martinis, very good service. A pretty and peaceful place.
Entree over seasoned and salted and the book Chou was limp and wet in other words it was a very poor meal. While we had an attentive waitress the service was extremely slow. For $100.00 this meal was a over priced and unpleasant.
The menu at Muse always has good choices. We do enjoy our dinner at Muse before going to the symphony. We had a wonderful waiter, fine wine, and a beautiful booth. Unfortunately this time our dinner was quite over-salted to the point that my wife noticed being swollen when we returned home that evening from the symphony. Hopefully this was a one-time occurrence or we will sadly need to consider another restaurant in the future.
Very nice dinner and very friendly staff. Wine choices were excellent, and especially nice to be able to go directly to the symphony performance.
Good food. Great ambience, but they are slow getting the food to you. We had to swallow dessert and run (didn't touch our tea and coffee), which is funny since everyone there has the same deadline. They reduced our bill since things were so late, which was nice. Not the first time this has happened.
All wonderful - ambience, service, cocktail, tastes. The portions might be a bit smaller however.
