Muse at Benaroya Hall Ratings and Reviews
Dinner was not worth the charge. Serving sizes are small, unsatusfying. Pork was dry, cabbage unappetizing, potatoes bland, dessert small. I totally wanted to go eat at McDonald's afterwards.
Also, my date did not get the selection ordered, and settled for the chicken instead
The Wait Staff we’re having a terrible time delivering the correct meal to the patron. Their ‘system’ was definitely not working. Not just once, but continuously. No more braised beef. Just a pork loin that was somewhat tough and moderately warm. This time, I was not impressed.
Lovely setting. Buffet style was a last minute change from table service, which was fine for us but maybe not for several people with walkers. The buffet was attended to constantly by the staff, who kept everything fresh and were also very attentive to our table needs. Nice to be right there in Benaroya Hall BUT disconcerting that one had to walk so far to get to the Nordstrom recital hall when it felt like it was just on the other side of the wall!
My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit to Muse prior to the symphony we attended at Benaroya Hall. The dinner was set up as a buffet, which I don’t think is their norm. We even received a call from the restaurant earlier where they pointed out that the meal was a buffet, and what the cost would be so there would be no surprises. I appreciate a staff that anticipates the expectations of their patrons. Everything at the buffet was absolutely delicious. I loved the Arctic Char, the salads, the apple parsnip soup and the short ribs. The mini tiramisu pastry in its own chocolate cup was delightful. Best of all, the convenience of parking once, dining in a comfortable and lovely room, then hearing the Seattle Symphony all under one roof, just can’t be beat. The weather was pretty awful that night, so we enjoyed being warm, dry and unrushed before our concert. We will be back again!
You must have tickets to the symphony to enjoy the excellent food and atmosphere at The Muse. We have found it challenging to enjoy a meal just prior to attending the concerts. The Muse provided an incredible meal, lovely venue and easy transition to the concert hall.
We ate at Muse for the first time before a concert at Benaroya Hall. The food was elegantly prepared and very tasty. The service was excellent, and the setting was tasteful and quiet, which was perfect for our get together with friends. We could hear one another.
Also I left my cell phone on the table, by accident, and a staff member went out of his way to retrieve it for me (the restaurant had turned found it and given it to the house manager) when I went to find it during the concert's intermission.
We were so glad Muse changed their policy to make it possible to order a la carte and not just the prix fixe meals. As ever, the food was excellent and our server was charming! All the staff are appropriately attentive and the wine selections were quite good. It’s only a shame they’re only open for Symphony attendees.
Good service by Missy. Pleasant ambiance. They present interesting and unusual menu offerings. It was a quiet atmosphere. Light and bright during the day. The friendly staff added to the pleasure of the visit. We enjoyed the relaxed setting prior to attending a wonderful concert at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony.
Pleasant atmosphere, relaxing and quiet enough to be able to enjoy conversation and still hear soft music in the background. The food was flavorful and tasty and portions were reasonably sized too. The service was professional and attentive. Overall not a bad value and definitely conveniently located for pre-symphony dining.
The salmon dish was a disappointment, it was soft and not very flavorful. They said it was from Vancouver Island, but it was farm raised. This seems a bit odd, since the restaurant is only a few blocks from Pike Place Market, which has all sorts of fresh wild salmon.
Lovely nonstressful way to get to your event at Benaroya Hall. The facilities are great and service and food as good as it gets. Always very accommodating for special dietary needs. Great presentation. After dinner one can stroll to the seats.
Great way to spend an evening in the city.
Food and service were excellent. Even though the price is considered a little higher than dine at one of the surrounding restaurant, it is well worth it....especially for the 3 course dinner. The only thing that needs to improve on is to serve tea in a real tea pot and not in a creamer size pot. The server had to fill my teapot 3 times so I could have 2 cups of tea. I will definitely go there again for dinner.
Muse offers a small menu of thoughtfully conceived and carefully prepared items. (Prix fixe, either two or three courses, although the menu says, without pricing them, that items can also be ordered a la carte.)
Everything is good; nothing is especially creative. We had salads, very nicely composed and dressed, then a dish of monkfish roulettes wrapped in prosciutto and a dish of mushroom ragout on a polenta base. Both entrees were quite decent, if a little on the plain side.
Considering food alone, it was modestly expensive; considering the pleasant experience and the extreme convenience of the location, it was very reasonable.
We did not realize the price range when we made reservations at the last minute for a spot close to the concert. Ultimately, the higher-than-what-we-planned-for-cost was well worth it -- food was wonderful; location was ideal; quiet atmosphere great for conversation; service delightful. will go again.
As always, a great dinner and service before the show! The friend I brought had not been to Muse before and she liked it very much. Max was our waiter (again) and he remembered me from March. He is exceptional; attentive, friendly, informative, genuine and cute, too! There was another young man who assisted us, however, he did not have a name tag on; he was just great also. I look forward to returning in May. See you soon!
Muse is our go-to restaurant for pre-concert dinners. It's inside Benaroya Hall and open only to ticket holders for the evening's concert. They offer a limited fixed-price menu--$40 for starter and main courses, or $50 with dessert. They have a decent wine list. Being of a certain age, we appreciate the fact that we can drive to the Benaroya Parking garage and go straight to the restaurant (showing our tickets at the door), without ever going outside. Food portions are adequate thought not overly small.
