We’re tucked away on the main floor of Benaroya Hall, in the Norcliffe Founders Room. Once you’re inside the Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium, just look for the hallway hung with portraits of Symphony musicians, and follow the signs.

Very odd experience. Though we had a waiter, 4 different persons served us during dinner, none working with the other. After waiting 15 minutes for dessert, we called our waiter over and cancelled it. Then the wife asked whether we could have it at intermission with tea. He said yes, no charge. At intermission we went down for dessert and tea, and were told we weren't welcome as we were not part of the symphony Founders group.
As to food, excellent except for the broccoli shredded salad -- very dry, no real dressing, and just one nut (i kid you not). A woman at the table next to ours sent hers back.
Expected much more after an excellent dinnerthere last year.
This is a lovely space for dinner before the symphony with out of town guests. Our dinner was disappointing. The server was nice but not very attentive. The Brussels sprouts salad was tasteless and the main courses arrived very slowly and were not warm enough. The pastry dessert was tough. The service was slow. Even though we arrived with plenty of time before the concert, we were rushed at dessert to get to use the restroom and get to our seats (one us walks very slowly).
Most beautiful restaurant ROOM in downtown Seattle; ambiance second to none. Food is very good for the price point. If you're attending a performance in Benaroya; it's the best restaurant deal in terms of both dining and having a relaxing time before the show; the staff is also EXCELLENT...
My wife had the rabbit, but it was a bit dry and tough. The barley and beef stew was excellent. I had the bouillabaisse, it was good, but I had to ask for a plate to put the shells in. Desert was excellent.

Overall, as expected. A convenient dining experience before a concert, but not a high focus on the quality of the food. However, one does not go out for mediocre. I was disappointed by the quality of the striploin I ordered. I ate everything on the plate except half of the striploin and was disappointed the server did not even ask if I enjoyed the meal or if there was a problem with the food. Didn’t offer to pack it up either. The desserts were also lacking a bit for the cost. Food and service were ok but are not a great value. You are definitely paying for the convenience of eating in the hall without worry. It feels like a pop-up restaurant serving a hotel-catered dinner. I may give this place another shot, but I’m not in a hurry to.
Food was awful, staff nice. The tuna appetizer was almost frozen while the Osso Bucho was as tough as shoe leather.
Beautiful setting, and service was very professional. The food was ho-hum, especially for the price. We had several items (osso buco, crab cakes, ahi hors d'oeuvre) and for each of them, the basic flavor of the main ingredient was overwhelmed by other seasonings--partly salt, but also too many other flavors. The basic flavor of the main ingredient should shine through the seasonings, and it didn't. Disappointing, and different from the last time we were here a couple of years ago. Still fun evening, nice to already be in the hall before our concert, and the ambiance is lovely. Also much quieter than dining in the outer lobby area.

My wife and I came for a concert gifted to us by our daughter's family, so we thought we would shoulder the cost of a nice dining experience to go with it. The restaurant, while at the end of a small trek, did not disappoint, beginning with the setting. I'm not sure we've ever eaten in a room with such high ceilings! The place is quite lovely, with subdued lighting, though sufficient to read the offerings, and very attentive staff. The menu items were nicely varied, though not too numerous. We chose the three-course option, and were pleased with everything. The courses came quickly, though not rushed, and staff were graciously accommodating, substituting field greens for the kale in my wife's salad, and cutting up the pork chop she chose for her entrée. My black halibut was done to perfection, and our deserts were quite sinfully delicious. The check was reasonable, for a fine dining experience, and I'd visit the place again, with pleasure.
As I was dining solo before the Vivaldi Four Seasons Symphony, I chose to sit have my dinner at the bar. The windows give a nice view of Downtown to complete the ambiance the high ceilings and roomy dining room begin. Lovely background music accompanied an interesting and lively conversation with Bartender Alec, while I had drink and dinner. Beginning with a Kale salad with pear and feta, followed by Blackened Cod with shaved cauliflower, my dinner was both a feast for the eyes, as well as a party for the palate. Compliments to The Chef, thanks to Alec, and Staff, and much Gratitude to the City, and Donors,to keep the Arts alive in our community.

I am a caregiver for a 74 year old gentleman with Alzheimers that has a brace on his leg and use of just one hand. I called ahead and talked to a ticket seller about my client and his situation and asked for some assistance regarding food and seats etc. She was amazing but didn't get her name...Ivy picked up where she left off and met me and my client at the door of the Muse. Ivy made sure that we were comfortable, safe and told the staff we would need extra assistance. Leslie our waitress, took our order and served us and let us bypass the buffet as it would have been very hard for me and my client. Leslie took excellent care of us and we had a beautiful and fun birthday for Marty! Food was fresh and delicious, all the staff was outstanding and the concert was a wonderful experience. THANK YOU to everyone at Benaroya for making this birthday special but more important, easy for us. Cheers and happy holidays!!

This restaurant was always our go-to before symphony concerts and we've generally had good experiences. This time was the worst. There were 4 of us, but that shouldn't have made a difference as to service. One of our party ordered something that they were out of, so the waitress said she would check on an alternative. She never came back to tell us what the result of that was. We waited inordinately long just to get our drinks, but then the entrees never came. We saw all around us that people who came after us were being served their entrees, even their desserts, and yet we sat there with no food. They simply were ignoring us. Finally I managed to flag down a waitress to say we had been there for 1 hour and 20 and still hadn't gotten our entrees. Eventually we got our food but had to bolt it down because it was getting toward curtain time for the concert. I ate so fast I got the hiccups. When they brought the bill, there was no apology, no reason given for the wait, or any sign that they cared that we had to wait so long. It almost spoiled our evening. Clearly we are never going back. Very disappointed!!

Excellent restaurant that is in Benoroya Hall, just steps away from the Seattle Symphony. Food, ambiance and service were outstanding, but pricey menu. Check the online menus before you go. This is not your average "meat and potatoes" entrees.
Don't know what happened. We have had some quite nice meals at Muse, but this time, not so much. The duck breast was good, but the steak was OK, but the the Brussels sprouts were like rocks, as whatever it was that accompanied them. The Sea Bass was not good. The wine pours were very skimpy.The parsnip soup was cold, thick and lumpy.
The food was very very late. Knowing we were there for the symphony, the service could be more timely, being seated at 6:30 and barely making it to the symphony is poor. Should not take an hour and half to prepare and serve 3 course meal. The Arctic Char was barely cooked and was served very late. Pretty disappointing especially being served at Benaroya.
This was my third meal at Muse over the lat 2 years and it was decidedly the worst. I had a celeriac soup which was great but followed by a vegetarian main dish which was a tagine lacking in interest or taste--basically carrots in a tomato sauce over white rice. That is all I had. And the meal was $45!!! It is such a lovely location and so convenient but nearly empty and I can see why. It is a small menu with only a about 3 items in each category but the price was truly outrageous for what we received. Service was pretty good though the wine was slow coming out of the bar.
Excellent food, good service. Food selections are limited. Somewhat on the expensive side. Overall, we enjoyed it and will come back.
This is a great way to spend an elegant evening. Tickets for the symphony with parking in the building and dinner at the Muse - excellent service and great presentation of a well prepared meal
It’s certainly convenient. But the food is only mediocre relative to price. Ice cream for dessert costs $10. Three small balls of unexceptional ice cream. Really? Food Arctic char was served luke warm.
It is a quiet and spacious place with big windows looking at the street and water. Service was impeccable. Not a very bid selection for food, but it was very well done. I highly recommend it before going to a performance. Can't beat the convenience.
Second time in a row we have had an unacceptable experience at Muse. Cold food for both of us, sent back, not much better the second time. The convenience of Muse to the Symphony is fantastic, but there are too many good restaurants in the area to justify the poor experience at Muse.
A night at the symphony with dinner beforehand at the Muse is the most stress less night out ever!!! The food is good and because the menu is so limited, even picking your choices is easy. The dinner and paying is timed for you to be able to waltz down the hall to your seats in plenty of time for the performance. The Muse is one of the best kept secrets in town.
We use Muse often before a symphony concert and are always pleased. Tony is an excellent waiter.
We were grateful that Muse honored our reservation even though we were 15 minutes late. We also appreciated the quiet noise level. The food was fine although the rice that was served with the chicken dish was chewy. It might have been undercooked. This is a very convenient place to eat before a performance at Benaroya Hall.
Beautiful room. Cheap, uncomfortable furniture. Too brightly lit. Very high prices compared to the quality of the food. Really an uninspired salad and some dried out, overcooked short ribs served on top of some reasonably good creamy polenta. And a reheated apple crisp for dessert. And all that cost $55 dollars. I guess you pay a high price for location and convenience. The one bright spot? I thought the service was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive.
The Muse is *very* convenient if you are about to attend a concert at Benaroya Hall. The service is very good. However, the menu is quite small, and the food was OK - but nothing really special. Not particularly interesting, pretty average.
We has hopes but a $200 bill for an ok appetizer and a small slice of long past its prime quiche and a tomato and asparagus salad the consisted of 1/4 of a tomato and two one inch pieces of the tough ends of asparagus.
We had an excellent meal at Muse before a concert last week. Service was great! The sweet corn veloute was the highlight of the first courses. It had phenomenal corn flavor and perfect texture. The chicken and the burger were both excellent second courses. The quiche was a little disappointing in flavor, though the texture was good. Prices are very reasonable by Seattle standards.

The food was delicious, the service very professional but friendly. The ambiance was relaxing. In the twenty years attending events at Benaroya we have never been to Muse! It is a well hidden gem!
All of the menu choices were very creative, their presentation was beautiful, and the garnishes were exceptional. Particularly tasty have been the soups. Compliments to the chef, who creates a totally new and exciting menu every two weeks.
The unusually terrible traffic prevented us from arriving on time. not only that, we were almost 1 hour late (7pm) and had a 7:30 concert. we said we'd eat anything, and were served a lovely light, delicious supper, which we quickly ate. All was done easily. Thank you1
Service is excellent. Have never been disappointed by food here. Menu is always changing, so we look forward to something new each time. Ambiance is excellent also.
We had a coupon for our appetizer so opted for the two-course meal (entree and dessert at $45 per person). Our entrees were delicious, but they took so long to arrive that we were very rushed at the end and, unfortunately, the dessert still available at that time was limited to only one. Additionally, we were not given an itemized bill, so we are still unsure as to how they arrived at the total. Not sure what the solution might be, but I think most people would appreciate an itemized bill.
