Murray's Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge
Need to book at 6:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
We had a great meal for my Mother-in-law’s 70th birthday.
Only issue we had was the steaks were to salty, if you don’t like salt, make sure you tell them to use less seasoning and salt. Otherwise , great place.
While on business in MN, I thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Murray's. The restaurant was located next door to my hotel and quite convenient though I would've traveled miles to enjoy the French onion soup and ribeye steak that cut like butter.
I honestly don't know how to start this - there were so many amazing aspects to my dinner! First, I guess I'll start off by talking about the happy hour drinks. The happy hour menu is quite extensive- there are a variety of drinks and some awesome food options. I will absolutely come back just for happy hour. Next, the dinner. WOW! They really know how to cook steak! We ordered the Silver Butter Knife Steak for Two. The meat was perfectly cooked. The potatoes au gratin were perfectly baked. Our waitress was fabulous- I almost wanted to have her sit down and join us for a drink. Is it bad I want to find reasons to celebrate to go back?
Steak was a touch overcooked, which, for a $105 steak was a tad disappointing, but was still delicious, and the caramelized brussel sprouts were out of this world. The mirrors and drapes on the walls made it feel very spacious, the lighting was perfect, the staff were attentive, and our waiter was great.
Love Mirray's, its my goto spot for work and they never let me down
Our service and food were exceptional, hope to return soon.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Would recommend it
Impeccable service, excellent dinner and a nice atmosphere. It was my wife’s birthday and they presented her with a candlelit dessert. A great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Everything was fabulous. It’s an expensive night; you know that going in. We celebrated our daughter’s 20th birthday and our server (Dennis) was terrific.
We have been dining at Murray’s for years. There is no better restaurant in America. The chateaubriand for two is our go to dinner...Med Rare you’ll not find a better beef experience anywhere in the world. Get the bacon wrapped shrimp for a starter, the Caesar Salad, garlic toast, Au gratin potatoes, asparagus and finish with the raspberry pie and you’ll have the meal of a lifetime!!
And the family is simply the best.,.Tim Murray was recently inducted into the minn restaurant assoc hall of fame..Jill & James Murray round out the team that operates this great family tradition!! Their father Pat set a great example, originated by his parents, Art & Marie.
The foundation on which Murrays was built: purchase the best quality raw materials possible, prepared consistently with care, served by a quality staff and charge a fair price.
This was again our experience Sunday with our son visiting from Sitges, Spain!
Simply thanks, Murrays for another outstanding dining event!
Steak was amazing! Loved the whole experience!
The butter knife steak is some of the best meat I've ever eaten. Despite how lean it was it was cut with a butter knife, melt in your mouth delicious.
Our server Dennis was amazing and very patient with the kids. It has been pur family tradition to come once a year since I have been very little and it never disappoints us. Great food and service!
Murray's never disappoints. The food and the service is always amazing.
Joeeeey was a great Server - great recommendations. Had a fantastic time out on the town.
Steaks were very tender, but way too salty. I couldn't drink enough water. Service was very good, ambiance just okay. For two people to eat and a $185 tab I expected so much more. I won't go back and I won't recommend.
Amazing! Our server, Greg, was the best - request him if you have the chance... you will not be disappointed!
We had such a lovely evening at Murray’s. The Butterknife Steak was terrific and perfectly prepared. Waiter was polite and friendly. Love Murray’s!!
The food and drinks were amazing!! Silver butter knife steak for two is the best steak I have ever had in my life
Waitress was great. Only drawback was very loud table behind us but staff did a good job of intervening. Food is legendary and did not disappoint.
First Steak way too salty to eat they made us fresh ones although it took so long we weren't hungry once it arrived. So it was more like a waiting experience than a dining experience. Plus the cost was $140 (plus tip) no discount for mistake or waiting so long....would of expected 50%off at least disappointing Valentine's experience.
BEST STEAKHOUSE HANDS DOWN!!! THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE IS A+++
My boyfriend and I were celebrating our two year anniversary of our first date. We celebrated at Murray’s for the first time last year...it was amazing!! We will be returning every year from now on. Our server Anthony made it a evening to remember, loved his personality, he made us feel like we were his only table, even though we I knew he was very busy. Thank you to him and the entire staff for making our special night even more special. ❤️
Food was just ok. Butter Knife steak was tough and not flavorful. Won’t be back.
Valentines Day dinner was fabulous. Excellent steak and side dishes. Raspberry pie was wonderful.
The food and service was very good, but unfortunately we had a table next to us with 2 kids that were rather loud and were running around.
The food is exquisite! Valet parking was convenient, especially on a -12 degree evening. Wait staff were attentive without being overbearing. A wonderful experience!
The food was excellent and the German chocolate cake was to die for.
The early bird menu 5-6 p.m. Sunday-Thursday is great with an option of steak or salmon. Both are excellent choices.
It’s always an outstanding meal. A perfect special occasion restaurant.
Always an amazing experience!
I had the Ribeye steak - it was one of the best I have ever had - on the same level as my best steak at Peter Luger’s in New York. We had a great server (Dani) - it was an early valentine dinner with the love of my life. We had a great time and a great meal.
The food was delicious and the service wonderful. Our waitress recommended a very good wine to pair with the silver butter knife steak and she was spot on. I left my gift card behind and they located it for me and are going to send it on. Really went above and beyond. It was my birthday so they brought out a small dessert. Very nice touch
This was truly a wonderful meal. We were seated way back on the right. At first I was not overjoyed an=bouyt the location but it turned but great, quiet, cozy, like our own mafia table. Our server was Greg who was studying to be a sommelier. He was knowledgeable, attentive but not overbearing. He helped us pick great dinner wine (Staglin '13). We started with snakes and bacon wrapped shrimp. The snails were fantastic the shrimp were slightly overcooked represent the lone wee flaw in an otherwise perfect meal (makes you appreciate the goodness). We both had lobster bisque with an impressive amount of lump lobster. We split the porterhouse, done perfect medium rare and very flavorful. Sides were the Seasonal Vegetable (Brussels Sprouts) and Au Gratin Potatoes, both very reasonably pried and portioned appropriately for 2. Good job Murray's GREAT job Greg!
First time ordering the butter knife sirloin for two. Amazing flavor.
Excellent dinner all around! Service was great, food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back in the future.
The place was a bit noisy. Service was pretty good until after we ate, then the waiter kind of "forgot us". The food was great, except the dessert--bread pudding. Looked like it was made in a meatloaf pan, bland, with rubbery dried apricots on it and about a tablespoon of sauce. I make a much better, fresher and FLAVORFUL bread pudding that doesn't look like head cheese and a sauce that actually covers the pudding.
Delicious and amazing as always! The flight of steak is a MUST!
Great evening with friends! Food and service was second to none.
