Murray's Cheese Bar
We love cheese, but our menu also features seasonal specials, high-quality meat and produce and fantastic happy hour specials during the week. Join us for dinner seven nights a week or weekend brunch next time you’re passing through Greenwich Village and see why we’re so in love with what we serve
If you are cheese lover, it’s a MUST to go
The staff were all really nice and very accommodating and polite (we were late to our reservation and they didn't say a word about it). All of the food was very bland with an odd spicy taste. Perhaps it was the meals we selected, and, had we selected the racclete or Fondue or other featured dish it may have been a different experience.
Great service, great food. Overall, would recommend.
Great food , music too laud people try to have a conversation lauding too ... so just turning down a little bit the music would help
Great food and great wine as always! Really good price points and selection for the wine. This is maybe my tenth time at Murray’s, it never disappoints.
Have eaten here several times before. This time the small plates we had did not have quality level of past meals. Maybe it was just our choices. Wine & service were good. Overall for the cost the meal was not memorable.
Had some fondue and a great time!
Out waitress, Nikki, was incredible. Had the best time!!!
Tremendous enthusiasm on the part of the waitstaff...they picked a selection of meat and cheese and did a great job
Loved the Raclette!
It's a cool spot and a solid menu. Of course they have a good meat and cheese selection but most of the items are pretty unique. I had the elote and it was amazing
The cheese plate is what really shines here. The pairings they provide are interesting and unique and really add to the experience.
Best food to introduce friends to the City!
went with two kids, service was nonexistent, wait for the food was super long, host chatted to the servers and ignored us
Murray's is a unique place for people who REALLY like cheese. The menu is diverse, the staff is nice, and the cheese is amazing, no matter what you order. The service was a little slow and the place wasn't even full, but we really enjoyed the place and will definitely go back.
Food was amazing! Totally worth the trip!
Wonderful, we’re on our way to try to get in again tonight!!!!!
Always a pleasure to come here! I usually do this before going to the comedy cellar around the corner. Best Mac and cheese everrrr ❤️
Amazing, would come again literally every weekend❤️
Came here Friday evening for a light dinner -- the grand fondue was everything we wanted it to be and was the perfect size for two people. If you are looking for a full meal I recommend also getting a starter. It is a bright space during the day and as it turns to evening it gets a little bit more of an ambiance.
The service was a little slow. It was nice because we did not feel rushed, but it also became difficult to get our check when we were ready to leave. This was strange because they had plenty of staff and it wasn't that busy at the time we were there.
Absolutely the best place for a cheese plate in New York City. Wish it wasn't a dollar more to choose your own cheeses off the a la carte menu though.
The fondue had little thought put into it and was messy. Service was poor and slow made us feel unwelcome. Very disappointed
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. Its cute and pleasant inside and the food is very good. The one issue was our food took a very long time time come out, but our server apologized and sent us some free cheeses in the mean time which seems the best way of handling this situation in my mind and made up for any inconvenience.
Would give 10 stars if I could
This was my first time here and the food was delicious. Good portions, great flavors.
The food is very good, try the buffalo cheese curds and the spinach and artichoke dip. The pesto mac n cheese was also great.
THE destination for all things cheese...exquisite pairings!
A MUST for the cheese lover when in New York. There are few chances in life to have selections made by a CHEESE MONGER and pairings with wine. Exceptional Quality. Sometimes a little to noisy for my ears.
You also must visit the cheese shop next door...ever more than you can impagine
Great food...not the best beer options...but the food was amazing!!
The cheese plate was excellent. The main courses were just ok. The music was so loud, we could not hear one another.
Made a reservation for an early dinner without knowing that the kitchen opens at 5. That was a little disappointing for the kids as they had their hearts set on grilled cheese.
Food was excellent! Bloody Mary had a very strange taste and service was lacking. We waited quite a while to put in drink & food orders even though the restaurant was not full.
The cheese plate the one that offers 5 for $35 was a bit pricey for the sliver of the cheeses they choose for. I would say $22 to $25 would be fare. Thank
The mac and cheese was extremely salty. My daughter who lives on it didnt eat it almost at all. The waiter/waitress were changed 3 times while serving us at no further intro, I also barely touched the plate as it was not good and the waiter simply brought the bill once we waived. Didnt even ask if there was a problem with our food since no one at our table touched it past the first 2 bites. almost $100 later my kids and I were still starving so went straight from there to another place.
Good good but almost all choices were very rich. Nice atmosphere and service. Excellent table for 7 people.
A cheese lover’s dream! Murray’s never disappoints!!
The wait staff combined with the open wall was very inviting and relaxing. The charcuterie board and wine were fantastic. We will absolutely return for another wonderful afternoon.
Although our immediate waiter was amiable, the overall service is lacking. Disappointing since we always make an effort to pay a visit when visiting NYC.
I always love coming here! Our Cheesemonger was very enthusiastic about his selections for us, making us even more excited to try each one!
