My sister and I had a wonderful time. We sat on a long table outside with an ocean view; it overlooked the grounds. The service was pleasant and efficient. The fish tacos were wonderful.

We found this restaurant to be a disappointment even though we chose the chef's tasting menu to get the best they could offer us. The "steak" course had a small piece of New York Steak about 2" X 3" X 1". We were not asked how we wanted it cooked and it was tough. So much so my sister could not eat it. The wine list was quote extensive and also quite expensive. Among the hundreds of wines offered the vast majority were over $100/bottle with many over $200 or $300 and only a handful were under $100. We ordered one of these. The desserts were a disappointment showing little creativity and leaving us wondering if there was a pastry chef. The service was the one aspect of our dinner that was excellent. But it could not rescue the meal.

Ambiance is great. Beautiful dining room, interesting location under the bridge. However they're going for the high end Gary Danco crowd and it doesn't come close in terms of the food.
Wine list is a joke. Huge but most selections are three figures and some four figures. Least expensive wines are $48 and there aren't many at that price point. Skip it.

Been meaning to try Murray Circle for a long time. Finally arranged to have brunch there w/my GF on a Sunday morning.

We arrived a bit early but had no problem getting seated. The receptionist was pleasant and warned us that the kitchen was backed up. Was seated in cozy 2 person banquet out of the way. Ordered a large french press and a plate of pastries to tide us over until the brunch orders were ready. The coffee was good and the pastry plate is a pretty good deal -- 5 pastries for $12 including 2 croissants, 2 muffins and a croissant like snail.

I ordered the dungeness crab benedict and my GF ordered a burger. The waiter said the delay would be about 20 mins but it seemed shorter than that. The crab benedict was just ok to me. I would have preferred the eggs to be a little more runny and there was a contrast in temperatures between the eggs (warm) and the crab/avocado (cold) that I found distracting. The crab benedict also came w/home fries. I don't eat fries and should have asked for a substitution. That was on me, not the restaurant. My GF liked her burger and fries just fine.

The dining room initially was very crowded when we arrived around 1030am and cleared out by the time we left around noon. There were a lot of people standing in front of the entrance waiting to be seated for lunch when we left. So, my impression is that Murray Circle may always be quite busy.

All in all a pleasant but not outstanding experience. However, well worth the drive to Ft, Baker and Cavallo Point (especially during the daytime) on a clear and sunny Sunday morning o have brunch and then walk along the seawall past the Discovery Museum and the yacht harbor to view the GGB and the City.

How many chances can you give a place? Yes, the rooms are lovely, the environment is to die for, but this review is about the restaurant, though I have stayed at Cavallo Point several times - and it's not the first time the restaurant has let down the whole experience. We've given them "another chance" on several occasions, because we want to support this local resort, but - sadly - never again. We were seated promptly in the restaurant for Sunday brunch - and it was not overly busy at the time, with what seemed like plenty of wait staff to deal with any eventuality. Having ordered coffees, the waiter then left us. We watched other guests served - and they'd come in after us, although the guests at the neighboring table had to send back their coffee because it was bad. Another ten minutes went by, and our waiter returned to take our food order, saying "Your coffee is coming." As he repeated the orders back to us, he kept getting them wrong, so we in turn had to give him our orders all over again. Then he vanished once more. Another fifteen minutes elapsed, and still not even a cup of coffee, so I spoke to the hostess about the tardy service. The manager came to the table, and said she would do something about it. Another ten minutes went by before we decided we had no other option but to leave, because it seemed no one cared to assist us in an efficient manner. I was very upset as I was bringing out of town guests to a local restaurant for a memorable "Bay Area" experience. I informed the hostess that I would never be back - I hated doing that, but I could not have been more disappointed. And to add to this review, during our previous visit to Cavallo Point, we met guests who were giving the restaurant "another chance." If you want a really good Sunday brunch while staying at Cavallo Point, go to the Buckeye - ten minutes up the road, excellent service, first class reputation, and really good food - that's what we did, and their service saved the day!

Cavallo Point is wonderful and the restaurant is nice. I was happy with the waiters, they were friendly and competent, but not better than average. The food also was just okay. I had an expensive fruit salad with mediocre fruit and tasteless melon. But it did look very good on the plate. And I had three dishes which seemed to me to be significantly over salted. I would not make a special trip to this restaurant, but if I was already at Cavallo Point I would eat there again (and I would ask them to go light on the salt.)

The food is good here but the portions are not worth the price point. Service is excellent. Just go to the bar for the view and skip the dinner menu.

Ambiance, service were great. But the food had absolutely NO flavor. BLAND, BLAND, BLAND. Doesn't anyone ever taste this stuff? Looked great, but not even salt. I suggested to my wife that the chef be sent to a culinary school, but she came back with "how about a new profession?". I have never had such bland, but beautiful food! Will NOT recommend. SAD. Everything else was great, but without flavor, food is NOTHING.

Creative menu with dishes beautifully presented. We loved the raw tuna and the stone fruit salad with burrata. Our entrees which ranged from fish to duck to pork belly to tenderloin each were delicious and beautifully seasoned. Desserts are so creative and works of art. Service was warm and welcoming. We go for special occasions and always feel well taken care of. Great sommelier and wine selection as well. Oh, and did I mention the view? Unparalleled!

I’m not one to write reviews but felt feedback was needed. The food was excellent, however, the portion sizes were very disappointing. I ordered the steak entree for $39 and I was served 2 very small medallions - it took me 5 bites to finish. My wife’s entree was good but equally small and disappointing.

Food was good but portions are very small and very expensive. Would prefer a wider choice of appetizers and entrees. $17 for a martini is extremely high - choice of vodka for that price but I still feel $15 for bar vodka is too expensive.
Also not fond of glasses used for manhattans and martinis. Would prefer more commonly used tall stem glass. Need to lower your prices. We are locals but will probably not return until you add some additional food choices and lower your prices.

All was wonderful except the wait staff are not clear on what is gluten free or not and even when they are, the kitchen sometimes makes errors. I’ve been to Murray Circle probably six times now and each time save for one I have been very clear about my gluten allergy and yet have been given food with gluten.

I hadn’t been to Murray Circle in over three years. It did not disappoint. My friend and I enjoyed a marvelous dinner with excellent service by Jose, one of Cavallo Point’s original employees. The dining room is reasonably quiet but not uncomfortably so, offering the chance for conversation. Highest recommendation!

Excellent food and wonderful view in just 20 mins drive from SF city.
The day I visited was extremely windy day
But I've enjoyed very much and will be back.
Just a note, they will park and bring back car when return, little too far out from restaurant site for elderly persons.
