Wonderful Service ! Amazing Views !! I thought that the ambiance of this place, with the incredible views made it a Five Star... Plus, we had wonderful service.
you are not going to have a bad food or service experience, it was really good and well served and servers were attentive without being overbearing. But because of out door seating you have a big variable, we had a lovely sunny day, not to hot nice breeze but it can be cooler and windier in this location, we come here for walks and to get away from the city and a bit of outdoors. so try for a good weather day but it will be a big variable, they do have blinds and heaters so they will serving, but the food is terrific.
Wonderful breakfast! Great views, delicious food and friendly service. We were appropriately distanced.
Beautiful view of the bay, delicious food & wonderful service. Feels like a vacation even if you’re just a few minutes from the City.
great experience for late afternoon dinner and very covid safe by appearances
Really lovely dinner with great friendly staff & all COVID safe! Thank you all so ,ugh for a wonderful date night on your veranda :)
We weren’t offered a space heater but everything else was perfect!
Great food and views. Bring a coat, the fog can roll in anytime.
My girlfriend and i were looking for a cute location out of the city for a lunch date. To start our server never really introduced herself nor gave clear communication the rest of the dining experience. Considering i have worked in restaurants my whole career i know what is expected of a excellent service. Anyways, the food was the redeeming quality of our visit. Overall, i likely wouldn’t come back or tell a friend.
We loved everything about this restaurant except the hostess. We arrived for our reservation on time and were told we could have a picnic table which wasn’t desirable or we would need to wait for a regular table. We were seated in a windy cold area waiting for over 10 minutes before I went back to the hostess who ignored me while she talked to someone else. A gentleman working at the restaurant saw me waiting and asked if he could help. He offered to get us seated immediately and motioned to the hostess to have this done. At this time the hostess noticed me and offered me the same picnic table she had offered when we first arrived. We were eventually seated at a regular dinner table and enjoyed an incredibly great dinner. The waitress and all the staff were excellent and our experience to ended up as wonderful as we had hoped for.
I wanted to like this place more than I did, and think maybe some of my disappointment stems from the unusual COVID circumstances. The setting was nice but not particularly elegant relative to the prices. They could make it a lot more special. The service was generally very good. The food was just ok. We had: (1) a burger (overpriced and overcooked at $20); (2) a "Waldorf salad" that was not actually a Waldorf salad (why mess with a good thing?); and (3) French toast (maybe the best thing). I will try it again when the pandemic ends and they are operating at a higher level.
We were there for Brunch and had a very nice time, good food and service while enjoying the beautiful views.
Stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Hot day and shading was minimal. Due to COVID there was a limited menu and prices were elevated. Service was good but some drinks didn't arrive on time. Food was well prepared and tasty.
Our greeter/ hostess Helen was short; not friendly & set off a poor arrival note on what was a Birthday celebration. She wanted us to know " she is in charge" & you'll do whatever it is ' my way'. Most unpleasant.
Bryan , our server is a star. Polite; helpful; courteous; " whatever we want he'll obtain' or tell us why its not possible.
He deserve a 5 + star award from you people.
Thank you. Joe
Lovely setting, deeply appreciative that they are open for limited service. Great staff. Delicious food. Only issue I didn't care for was the side by side bench seating. Makes it awkward to have a conversation with your date when you are seated beside one another verses across the table.
It was a very hot day without ocean breeze but the umbrellas helped a great deal. Food and service outstanding! Celebrating 2 birthdays and it was special!!
Nice atmosphere, good food, but a bit pricey for what you get.
Enjoyed two nights in a row at MC...enjoyed both evenings. Loved the food and Dillan, our server, too! Great setting on a hot summer night (or autumn?)
Wonderful place to enjoy an meal with a beautiful view and great service. Feels like you’re on vacation.
Had breakfast, dinner and takeout all from here during the four-day stay at Cavallo Point. Reservations only due to COVID. The food is simply amazing, the price and value are pretty great for the Bay Area. Service was great, did not have any complains nor do you need to request anything, even with water refill, the waitress notice the empty glass right away and refill it without us needing to ask. This is during COVID, it's all outdoor dining (the view is fantastic with Golden Gate Bridge right in front of you) with gloves, masks, food being covered while being served and staying 6-feet apart. Will definitely be going back, although I would imagine it being packed and full of people once things are back to "normal" (even during this time, the restaurants is still fully booked).
Outdoor lunch dining on a perfect day. Covid protocols in effect. Staff seemed a bit unsure or uncomfortable with how, where, when and it seemed they were perhaps understaffed. That said, all were personable and were doing their best. Great menu, food delicious, setting perfect for warm day. Most enjoyable. Will be back soon!
Nice social distancing and the food and drink is still outstanding. Best Shrimp Tacos!!
Wedding on lower patio a bit distracting
Waited for over 45 minutes for table for 8:45 pm reservation. Hellen the hostess was great. Food great. Ambience great.
Tasty food. Okay service. Heated seating. Plus for COVID safety precautions. Considering the price points for different dishes, overall it was okay. I imagine on days when the sky is clear, you’d have a good view of the bay and the GGB.
Always great food! A little pricey but worth it. Our family loves being able to see the Golden Gate Bridge (when there isn’t fog).
Spectacular view, amazing wine list and incredibly delicious food.
Great food and service.
Could definitely use more plant-based / vegan items on the menu but the chef was able to modify existing vegetarian dishes to be vegan and quite delicious.
Everything was delicious, service great creating a great experience even during the pandemic.
Great outdoor dining experience during the pandemic. Food was superb as well as the service. Table location was acceptable, but next to the stairs and check-in so more activity than I typically want to experience.
Courteous, attentive and professional staff from the hostess greeting and seating us to our waiter providing excellent service. The fall menu choices and dessert was delicious!
Thank you very much.
Great except the waiter forgot to bring us one of our dishes. They didn’t charge us so it wasn’t too big of a deal.
Delightful. Heat lamps, view across the foggy meadow, fog horns bassooning, service, tastiness, very special! Bring a wrap and your sweetheart.
Lovely location and setting
Pricey , lunch for 2 with wine $150
It's a gorgeous place, very relaxing, wonderful ambience. The service and menu is excellent - but I must add that the food portions are very meager - example, the lobster roll (or specified as slider - should tell you something) for $18 (price is fine) but just not
enough food. Other dishes, side dishes are all very small portions.
They do not offer bread and butter, so when I asked for it - it came as two pieces if very thin toast (at least no charge).
Everything else about the place is just great - but you can't go away still hungry. Please advise the chefs and management.
Delicious food and beautiful restaurant complete with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge while you dine! The staff was very friendly and COVID-19 protocols were in place. I went for brunch and ordered the duck hash which was flavorful and delicious! Overall great experience.
It's a great restaurant. The food is good, the setting is awesome. The service was great!! Our server was so friendly and good, not one complaint. I think they should leave bottles of water on the table, I was constantly needing refills.
Awesome outdoor dining! Great food! Positive experience and would recommend highly.
The menu app is an issue as 1) not made known you have to download, 2) doesn't work with Google phones, 3) doesn't indicate that while brunch is until 3, certain items on the menu are only available until 2. As a result, needless reordering from an app that is iffy at best.
As much as i enjoy Cavallo, might not return until Covid restrictions are lifted.
