Always great food! Large party of 7 and everything came out beautifully at perfect temperature. Beautiful spot overlooking the Golden Gate.
Brunch menu changed, some of the best offerings no longer available (chicken, egg and hash), my burger was dry an overcooked, service was poor, coffee was not listed on the menu and the only option we were given was French Press, which must have cost around $6 and no refills were offered. Coffee pot used to be put right on the table.
I've dined for brunch many times at Murray Circle and prices have gone way up and service and value way down.
Overall experience wa great u guys should get your Michelin star back thx everyone again for excelent service and we will see you again soon
Ps Jousuf is great server 👍
Was a terrific night!
Great overall dining experience! Enjoyed our seafood stew and duck cooked perfectly! The charcuterie and dessert (roasted chocolate and miso entremet) were also noteworthy! The hostess was not as friendly, however.
this is a very special place... off the beaten track... great food and on a nice sunny day you can sit on the porch and eat.. while watching a spectacular view of the Golden Gate and the bay!
Love this place! However we had an elderly gentleman fresh out of hospital joining us and our dinner was delayed. Other dishes were provided in the interim which was most appreciated. The Pekin Duck was inedible though. I had to discreetly spit out the chewy mess behind my napkin to place on my plate.. I was so filled up with oysters and fois gras all ended well.
Everything was wonderful
Nice room, quiet atmosphere. We arrived for a 7:45 dinner. The room was half full (and cleared out as the evening went on). Our host sat us in the middle of two other two-top tables, so we were all clustered together in this big open room. So, our intimate dinner date was not so intimate. Honestly, of all the tables in the room, why did they have to seat three tables elbow to elbow next to each other?
We ordered dry martinis to start and ended up getting dirty martinis. Sent them back.
Later, we ordered two different glasses of wine. One arrived, the other didn't. Had to ask for it after several minutes.
Food was good, but extremely small portions. We left hungry. Came home and ate some leftover pizza.
Don't need to go here again.
Food was great, especially the beet salad. Menu was somewhat limited. Service was great.
It pains me to write a negative review for a restaurant that I've really liked over the years. I've had two lunches here since there was a change in the menu and chef. The new menu is limited and the food mediocre. Much too much money for the quality of the menu. The servers, on the other hand, are excellent. I hope that the food improves to the level of the previous menu and chef. The atmosphere is really lovely and the restaurant should be allowed to be as special as it can be.
A go-to for us on special occasions. Impeccable service delicious food and great ambiance. And although we did not bring our dog this time, the outdoor seating with GG Bridge views is pet friendly.
I've been several times and have consistent results. The bar, lunch and dinner menus are interesting, several of the dishes are delicious. The service is friendly but often kind of disorganized. The setting is convenient and beautiful, and helps mitigate the high prices.
I've dined at Murray Circle in the past and had wonderful experiences - food, service, ambiance - this time was unfortunately not the case. We arrived a few minutes early to our reservation and the hostess was able to set us up at our table quickly, and provided us with some coloring for the two kiddos in our party.
The restaurant was half empty when we arrived. After being seated, and had our glasses of water refilled twice, however, we then waited 15 minutes before a server came to check in on us and take our order. When the server did arrive to take our order, there was no apology for the wait, rather a very brusque and distracted bit of service.
The food was good - which is the one upside to this experience, but the service was truly dismal and sadly made us not want to return again.
The restaurant is quite old and not updated. I understand the ambiance is its selling point, but a refresh on the pain and cleaning the carpet would give it a much needed uplift. The service was quite poor as well. We waited 45 minutes for our appetiser, which then came with our meal. I would have understood if the restaurant was busy, but there were only 3-4 tables of diners. The food was also pretty average.
I would not recommend this restaurant. there are far better ones in SF and Sausalito. Go for a walk on the green if you want the view, but the food is not exceptional.
My sister and I were celebrating her birthday The service was wonderful attentive without being too persistent Food was perfect I highly recommend for an enjoyable meal
The setting cannot be beat, but once inside for dinner, the room is not particularly memorable, Food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. For the price-point, they really need to work on service, ours was not great.
Changed the menu and is not exciting, or creative. Plus vegetarian options dried up.
The salads and entrees were excellent and the desserts were outstanding. The service was very good.
Great food. Fab setting. Quite. Service suffered from limited English by servers we had this lunchtime.
The beet salad was superb! My duck breast was prepared in a grain crust which had a crunchy texture which I found displeasing. The dessert of lemon tart was delicious.
We walked the bridge and said we want to check that place out, ended up that’s where Murray Circle was. Beautiful day!!! Early Valentines Day. Would go back again for sure.
Food and view was amazing. Service was lacking. When I have to flag down the bus boy. There’s a problem.
Murray Circle continues be excellent & a favorite place - especially for lunch on a beautiful day like Friday. The food was delicious & our waiter, Francisco was great.
treat as always. Beautiful location, spectacular views. Service friendly and efficient. Food good. The fries are very good,
It's been a couple of years since we ate at Murray Circle and the food quality is not performing well. The drinks were fine. The service was terrific and we found the food both boring and too expensive. Foe some reason they split the cauliflower soup between 2 people? They couldn't tell the flavor and there was a small amount in each bowl. I had the foie gras. We all love foie gras but not this time. It was way too strong and I took 1 bite and passed the rest to my friends. They each ate a bite or two and said the same thing. No thanks. The two other guests has the Bavette steak which they liked. It was tasty, tender and thinly sliced with wild mushrooms. I has the black cod in parchment. The fish was cooked just fine. The vegetables were not. They were tough and hard and needed a bunch more cooking and it was a very sloppily presented dish. Not much flavor and a wedge of lemon but no sauce at all. It really didn't work for me anyway. The two desserts were OK but they were trying too hard. Sorry. I love the restaurant esthetics but not the food. Sad. We won't be back for a long time. The dishes are too expensive not to be decent and there aren't that many choices in the first place.
Service was slow and inattentive - had to ask several times for help.
Beautiful day and we would have preferred to be outside - didn't
realized, no reservations for outside.
Our waiter was outstanding. The best any of the four of us have had in years. The bread was fabulous. The cauliflower soup was good but the flavor very vague. I ordered it because I like cauliflower but it could almost have been anything. The same for the dessert we shared. A miso burnt chocolate affair with no distinctive flavor, least of all chocolate. Loved my fresh cod cooked in parchment. Those who ordered the fish stew said good but not great. We also ordered sunchokes as an experiment. I wanted to see what rye cream was. Again, nothing jumped out at me. We spent quite a bit if money and had a great time but will probably scale back back going forward and choose places with specific cuisines.
Great spot (ambiance/ decor), ok food, weak service
We have been to Murray's Circle many times and it is always excellent. We had a very private and cozy corner table near the fireplace celebrating a birthday. The service was excellent, and food was creative and delicious. Wine recommendation was right on par. Thank you!
Fantastic and enjoyable experience, one our party of 4 will always remember. They hit a perfect balance on all aspects of great food, presentation, environment and service . A rare find in Marin. Have the tasting menu and spend a glorious night at Murray Circle.
was there with a guy that is a a founder of a large Omaha co he liked it was looking for jordan wine
Good restaurant in a great setting. Located at Cavallo Point, Fort Baker, the restaurant itself doesn’t have much of a view but the surrounding area is spectacular. The food was good if a little pricey. Everyone there was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. There is also a nice bar adjacent to the dining room. The bar also serves food (same menu), has a cozy fireplace and a pleasant overall vibe. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend Murray Circle for the food but would most certainly return for the scenery and ambiance.
We had a great time! The views were spectacular and eating on the porch made things easier with a little one. The food was excellent and beautifully served.
a bit of a let down. overpriced for the fact the food wasn't great - smoked salmon clearly was frozen prior. the desert was good but the desert didn't make up for the rest of the meal and the fact the service was poor as well
Cocktails were superb and with a wonderful twist!
For sure more creative than the salad!
Had the Bloody General Baker ( vs Mary )
Amazing dinner. Tasting menu was spectacular
This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is interesting and delicious. The service professional and friendly. Noise level low. Seating not on top of one another. And I appreciate that the dinnerware is our local Heath company.
Murray Circle is a beautiful restaurant, with outdoor dining. The service is impeccable and the food is very good but not exotic. It is a great place to have a relaxing lunch or dinner and enjoy being in Marin while viewing the GGB and SF.
Mushroom sandwich was cold. Food was bland and very mediocre.
