Visited from Hawaii. Always tell friends it is so delicious.
They changed the menu and the brunch wasn't so good.
We requested the veranda. They said the reservations are only for the inside of the restaurant. They said we could be on the wait list, but they weren't very nice about it.

Delicious food. Good tequila. Great service. Two fireplace view. Cozy corner. Not too loud even though a fairly large party was behind our wall which was a drape. Will definitely come back soon!

The menu was strangely confusing. It wasn’t a breakfast menu or a brunch menu or a lunch menu. Very few choices and very incongruent. I eat out a lot and it was the shortest, most uninteresting menu i have observed. 2 of us chose the hamburger which was so dry as to be nearly inedible. I separated it from the red cabbage (which was a curious accompaniment to a hamburger), and tried to cut through it with my fork—not a drop of juice came out and i ordered it rare! Awful! My daughter who usually ests everything walked away from hers. Waiter was fine and I didn’t want to complain to him. This is fourth time to eat there and dinners are always good. Ill never go back during the day.

Rude front staff who refused to sit us at an outside table even though there were 4 empty ones. Stated there was an hour wait and asked if we wanted to be put on the list. After being seated inside, we were told once an outside table became available (presumably a 5th one) they would move us. We sat instead for 2 hours and never once did they offer a table outside, even though empty ones were visible for nearly the entire time we ate.

Food not as good as previous visits. Same chef. So, what happened? Soup not hot. Small servings. Beet salad weird, very few beets. Dessert tiny for the price.

My wife's birthday, very nice place to visit and good views of the city. bartender manager was very attentive and they were prompt and Courteous. Will go again. Not too casual, a little more pricey and so more of a special dinner place, but probably very good for afternoon drinks and snack.

If you live in the Bay Area or coming in from out of town, you must come here. This is located in a former enlisted quarters for a fort that was built during WWI. Food is very good albeit a little on the rich side. Was super quiet when we were there which leads to an intimate meal.

I have been to Murray Circle several times and enjoyed it. The food is decent and the location and views are great. Unfortunately my friends and I had a bad experience this time. I arrived first, gave the hostess my name (the one on the reservation) and reminded her I was expecting two more people. Long story short, I waited for 25 minutes, thinking my friends had gotten stuck in traffic. I finally went back towards the checkstand and on my way, in a separate area from where I had been seated, saw my friends seated (by a hostess); they had been waiting for me for the same 25 minutes! When I reported the problem to the hostess, she acted as if it were no big deal, and barely apologized, acting as if it were no big deal. Then when we ordered, the main courses for two of us arrived quickly, but there was a 25 minute wait for the main course of the third person! The waiter said he checked with the kitchen and they had "dropped the ticket." He was also only mildly apologetic. These TWO incidents at one meal left a sour taste, and I doubt I or my friends will go back to Murray Circle any time soon.

Food good, but surprised that weekend lunches are now only "brunch" menus. Would have preferred the option of a regular lunch menu, even though I'm dining on a Saturday/Sunday.
I ordered the ahi which came with a frisée salad. Ahi nicely seared, nicely plated, but not a lot of food for the price. (Our guests liked their turkey sandwiches.)
All in all, a "special events" dining experience... but, as a local, sure wish there were a bit more value involved.
That said, still love Cavallo Pt and Murray Circle... iconic place.

We ordered the chicken for 2, a salad and carpaccio. The waiter told us it would take 30 minutes for the chicken which was fine with us. No sooner did we order than the salad and carpaccio come. We didn't even have time to sip our wine. Then the chicken arrived right after that which was considerable less than 30 minutes. I was still eating my salad. The chicken was not really even hot and it was a boned chicken. That was not indicated on the menu. It was average at best. I think that you can do much better for the price of the food. For a fine dining restaurant, it was Denny's style rush!

This is the third time I’ve been to the restaurant. The meal was unfortunately very average. Waiter wasn’t very flexible about much. Ask for something that was in the bar and they made such a big deal then brought me a tiny bowl to share with 8 people. Wow really? It was popcorm. Not going anytime soon. And it was for my birthday too

We couldn't have had a more perfect anniversary celebration as we had at Murray Circle. From the beautiful location near the Golden Gate Bridge to the beautiful room to the friendly staff to food and drink that had me saying OMG throughout. We ordered the tasting menu as well as the additional wine pairing. Each bite and drink sent us over the moon and back. This dinner has to be one of the best, if not, The best ever. We definitely will return. Thank you everyone at Murray Circle!

Charming historic setting with excellent view of the bay and the San Francisco skyline. Outside porch charming but can get a bit cold (they do provide blankets), inside comfortable with a long bar and additional bar seating for those who wish to be more casual.

It may have just been the day but nothing looked good on the menu. It felt a little bit like they made stuff because the could, not because anyone would love it. We actually changed our minds and had dessert then went back to our room, ordered room service and had a delicious meal (likely from the same kitchen).

The service was excellent and very gracious.

We have been here several times ,mostly for dinner. This last time was a disappointment. Menu very limited.. Ambience and server were excellent but food only fair. My husbands piece of fish was miniscule and dry. My steak was ok,a bit tough. I feel the prices are way too high,33each for the fish and my steak. I’ve had lunch there before and I’ll be back for that time of day. Better value.

Overall a lovely place. We wanted a quiet place for a long leisurely lunch. It was just right when after about 20 minutes I was able to get the music volume lowered. The waiter was pleasant but told me he could not help me. Finally I found the Host and he lowered the volume. Not only was the music loud, the sound system was awful, lots of static with heavy rock vocals. The choice of music did not enhance the otherwise tranquil environment .
Our food was good, we both had mussels, very interesting broth. Our salads were excellent, fresh unique organic vegetables, well dressed.

Both the waiter and manager appropriately apologized for : 1) the 20 minute wait after seating, 2) the undelivered bread that was promised, 3) the undercooked fish dish, 4) the 25 minute wait for further cooked fish dish to be re-served, 5) misinforming us that the long wait meant they were cooking a new piece of fish, 6) serving only a portion of the original fish dish that was returned for further cooking - not a new dish after all, 7) the failure to serve an ordered after-dinner drink, and 8) telling us the fish dish would be complimentary due to all the mistakes, but then including it on the bill! No kidding!

We have eaten at Murray Circle before so we know how great both the service and food can be. But we were embarrassed because we brought our out-of-town “foodie” guests for a unique experience. It was unique . . . but not the way we intended!

Disappointing service by our waiter who could not explain anything to us in a way we understood. He seemed very inexperienced and not aware of food or wine in general and described our cut of meat as being from the belly with a big piece of fat for flavor as if that was going to sell us on that menu item. The food was ok, nothing special. Service lacking except we did get our water refilled constantly. Luckily the ambiance and area in general is so amazing we had a nice time but our service was confusing starting with the 15 minute wait after we were seated to have anyone acknowledge us in a very empty restaurant. The hostess had great uplifting energy as well as other waitstaff who seemed to have more knowledge and interest in us.

Lunch food is excellent. But our dinner of cod and sea weed was skimpy for a $34 dinner. The waiter was not very attentive.
We have a dinner reservation later in the month which we may cancel, but we intend to keep a lunch reservation for next week.

Do yourself a favor spend 3 days at the hotel and use the spa. I have stayed there and felt like I was relaxing for a week.
I have just gone over for a meal and enjoyed it very much.

I have dined here around 5 times and each time the service gets worse. I booked my table for 2 and it said it was the last table available for that time slot. There were more empty tables than occupied ones. We were seated at a table in the back of the restaurant and when we asked if we could sit by a window it was as though we were inconveniencing the staff. We walked over to the table that we wanted to sit and which was cleared but not set. The hostess proceeding to set a different table in the corner when we clearly wanted to sit where we were standing. She said it was more trouble to set that table. What? When were finally seated it took over 20 min. to get our drinks and we had to ask for them. It was clear our order had not even been placed. We ordered our food and asked for the french fries and our waiter said he would bring them out first. That didn't happen. By the time we did get them we had already eaten our meals and didn't really want them at that point. Then they brought out another order of french fries! Just terrible all the way around and it was not even crowded. The food was good though.

Love this location. We have dined here several times and it's always been a good experience. Food was fine although I'd like a bit more variety. The service was really off. Our server barely paid attention to us-long wait to order, get drinks, food and had to ask for the check twice. Didn't plan to spend 2 hours plus for a weekday lunch. Hopefully, an isolated incident.

We went to Murray Circle for brunch on Sunday. Menu is limited, but that is a good thing. Sometimes restaurants offer too many things and don't do most things well. Murray Circle is reliable and a fantastic location. I have been there several times for both brunch and lunch. I do recommend it AND be sure to head to the Marin Headlands if you've never been after your meal. Stunning views!
