The food was fantastic, though a bit over priced. The service was only so-so. Not once did someone come by to pour more water, and we had to flag someone down in order to get our check. The setting and the food were hard to beat though.
Staff seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the volume of customers
We were seated in the large back room and two large parties were seated by us. The noise was deafening and we had to leave early because it was so unpleasant to try to talk. They should at least place large parties in separate areas.
We were also double-charged for coffees. The error was fixed but I really hate to find those sorts of discrepancies. It can't help but make someone worry that it is stuff added in with the expectation that one will not notice.
This is such a wonderful place to have lunch, especially out on the front deck. You just can't beat the serene, sunny view of the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounds, while having tasty, beautifully prepared food. A real treat.
Murray Circle is in such a beautiful setting and used to be such a treat . However, the restaurant is in need of an uplift. It is understaffed so that service is very slow and the food was mediocre at best. The only way to enjoy is to go on a pretty day and sit outside on the porch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Very expensive for very mediocre food. Burger was nothing special, neither was poke.
We ate lunch at Murray Circle. The service was slow and the meal disappointing. We ordered the Kale and Quinoa Salad with Chicken. The stems on the Kale was 2 inches long and difficult to eat. There wasn’t enough Quinoa in the salad. The chicken was absolutely flavorless. The meal was $24.
Having said that, one friend had a burger and said it was good.
I usually come for the setting, but this time the food was also good. I don't remember a juevos rancheros type dish on my last visit about a year ago. It's very good. We had an adorable, attentive server Jackie. If they ever update the dining room, I recommend more and larger windows. The interior is dark and doesn't take advantage of the gorgeous views of SF and the GG Bridge.
What a gem! Go there after you spent a day at Discovery museum!
The staff were very friendly, food was delicious, the place was cosy and romantic. It was one of the best experiences in SF.
Four of us were present for lunch to celebrate Steven’s birthday. Perhaps because we were there for a regular lunch on a weekday, it was quiet with parking available directly outside the front door. Our waitress was friendly, efficient, and not in a rush. We shared several dishes and were able to have a conversation without having to shout at one another. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Driving across the Golden Gate Bridge and admiring the greenery added to the luxury of being together for a non-rushed lunch.
Murray Circle is a restaurant gem in Marin. One of the best meals we have had in Marin in a long time!
Stunning view & location !
Food is delicious!
Missed the Lobster Roll we had a couple of months back! Wish it was back on the menu...I would come for that every week😁! Also wish you could make reservations for outside seating. Inside a little too dark & needs some warm touches... candles/fresh flowers would improve ambiance ...even in the day time nevertheless a lovely place to de-stress!
sat with old friends in front of the fire for the afternoon loved it
Very tasty and excellent ingredients. Wonderful evening. Thank you.
We were so happy with our meals. I ordered the miso glazed salmon, and my husband had the swordfish. Both were delectable and very well-prepared.
It was a treat! Our waiter was awesome and the food was delicious!
The Sunday Bruch Buffet was amazing. The omelette bar was fantastic and the huge spread of Bruch options was just perfect. We sat outdoors on a couch overlooking the lawn and GGB. Beautiful. The service: AWFUL! The staff was inattentive and seemed confused. We had to ASK for EVERYTHING: water, coffee, silverware. At $50 a head for BRUNCH, they need to fix this.
Perfect birthday lunch!
Food was delicious!! The staff members were friendly and attentive. The view was spectacular!!
Very cozy restaurant. Good food. If you don't use the valet parking you may have to park far away.
Great time for my wife and I as a getaway! We were originally seated in an area with a family of small children, who were acting like small, young children and mom was not using her inside voice. We asked Jennifer for a quieter table, which she immediately accommodated. It made all the difference in the world for two adults looking for a quiet night out! I loved the pot belly and grits appetizer along with the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly.
Wait staff should always have their head on a swivel, checking to see if their guests are trying to catch their eye.
Dined at Murray Circle at Cavallo Point for Christmas Day brunch. Overall, the experience today was OK. Prior visits were better. It wasn’t super busy. The atmosphere is nice in a beautiful setting, but the food was disappointing today for what it cost. I had the carnitas rancheros (mostly pinto beans in a salty sauce) with some pork and scrambled (my choice) eggs. There were two half corn tortillas on the plate. $24. The dish came quickly but was only lukewarm. I asked the busboy for a box to take the leftovers home. He acknowledged my request but never came back with the box. I mentioned the missing box to our server, who was very sweet, when we were checking out. She went to inquire about it and came back to say they were putting something together. I told her it wasn’t necessary, but they gave me some carnitas, two tortillas and a generous helping of the beans with a bit of scrambled eggs on top. This was very nice of them and was appreciated. I thought I would have it for dinner; however, when I reheated it, it just didn’t taste good, and I ended up throwing it out. My friend had an eggs Benedict dish, which she described as ok and also just lukewarm. They ran out of beignets, so we shared a super chocolatey bread pudding with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. Good, but not fabulous, for a small serving at $11. Thinking about going in January for a friend’s birthday, but at these prices really hope the food is better.
I love the ambience and setting of the restaurant, unfortunately food needs a lot of improvement. Our brunch was served semi cold and tasteless, bagels and beignets were already sold out at 11.30am!
Cocktails & light lunch
Beautiful setting in a historic setting with fantastic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. The cuisine is wonderfully prepared and the servers are magicians. I’ve been here many times and will be back regularly!
Great place for a special brunch!
Excellent food. Skip dessert. Wasn’t my favorite. Lattes were amazing. Our server, Paul, was the absolute best.
