Came to NOLA to celebrate friends birthday and found Muriel’s. The food was excellent, probably the best we had while here. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable making suggestions for both dinner and what to do in the French Quarter. Will absolutely be back.
My favorite NOLA spot to take visitors and locals! Wonderful food, service and ambience!!!
We were hesitant on where we would pick to eat on our trip, as we are from Lafayette and cook lots of our food differently from New Orleanians, however the food was absolutely AMAZING. The cocktails were wonderful and every single staff member was very kind and friendly. We left so extremely happy with choosing this place to eat. We were upset that we didn't get our 9utside table that we had selected for our reservation, but everything else was so great we quickly forgot about it.
Muriel's may have the best filet in the French Quarter! Great food and service. Creative accommodation for Covid rules.
The food here was extraordinary. Delicious wood fired pork chop haricot certs and andouille potatoes. I enjoyed a lovely salad and a scrumptious flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The honeychild cocktail was refreshing and thoroughly enjoyable. Make sure to visit the seance room and balcony. The decor and atmosphere are some of the most unique in the quarter. By far my most favorite place in the city ! Can't wait for my next visit !
We were once again very impressed with the great feeling, service and food served at Muriel’s. From the person seating us, to the service attendants to the outstandingly tasty plates of double cut pork chops, shrimp and grits and fresh fish of the day(drum) we were very impressed and will strongly recommend this restaurant to all of our friends and visitors to NOLA.
Food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Great Coolinary dinner.
A favorite restaurant of mine and never fails to deliver! We sat up on the balcony on a very pleasant evening which was quite enjoyable. My only complaint would be that the tables on the balcony are a little small for dinner for 3! The Shrimp and grits was outstanding!
Oh, how I've missed the fine restaurants in New Orleans during the height of the pandemic! Muriels has put up beautiful decorative screens between the tables along the windows that make you feel very private. It was lovely. And of course the food is as good as ever.
Coolinary menu. Great staff great meal great view. Quiet in the Quarters but it was a most excellent evening.
I was looking for a great place to dine for my 51st birthday. I found this restaurant on the list of Coolinary Restaurants. The shrimp/corn soup was delicious. So were my pork chops. My daughter enjoyed the roasted chicken. We both enjoyed the chocolate cake. I was given vanilla ice cream as a birthday dessert. The atmosphere was really nice. Validations are provided for the local parking garage. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a birthday special meal at Muriels. Three of us had the perfectly-grilled pork chops and one had the grilled redfish special with crawfish and crabmeat. We also had gumbo, turtle soup and a salad, and all were delicious. For dessert we had the bread pudding, chocolate flourless cake and creme brûlée. We enjoyed the crafted cocktails and wine as well. We have been there often and plan to continue to do do.
Delicious food, superior service and awesome place with cool history!
We had a wonderful meal and service celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary.
Great food, very nice staff and service and a good price/quality ratio. Overall a very nice experience. We’ll come back......likely soon :-)
The service and staff were great! The food was quite good, anywhere else they would get a 5 star, but in NOLA, I might be holding them to a higher standard???
Fantastic! Food, service, atmosphere...all outstanding!!!
Everyone was friendly and attentive from the host to our waiters. Food was phenomenal! We can the 3 course menu option with shrimp gumbo, turtle soup, shrimp and grits, pork chops and bread pudding. We also added boudin egg rolls.
It was nice for a date night
Muriel’s is always a nice place to dine! I try to go every few months.
The food was absolutely amazing! As someone who cannot eat gluten it was wonderful to find a place so accommodating with food that was spectacular. The sweet potato and andouille soup was by far the best soup I have ever had, the layers of flavor were indescribable. The staff was warm, friendly, helpful and kind. We were scheduled to eat at Tableau last night but enjoyed Thursday nights dinner so much that we canceled that reservation and booked a reservation with you instead. Best decision! We will be back! Thank you!
Everything was wonderful and delicious!
Another great meal. Everything was done tastefully including the social distancing regulations.
Went for our 27th Wedding Anniversary, everything was perfect, will definitely go back. The blackened reddish was so good and highly recommend the Honey Child drink, so good!
Only our second time eating out since March. We have had both the coolinary and Reveillon at Muriels for years so we couldn’t pass it up. This time was a bit disappointing. The sweet potato soup was fantastic but neither main course was thrilling. The fish was dry and the only flavor was from the onions. The pork chop was tender but rather flavorless. Creme brulee was good but the bread pudding was too heavy. Maybe next year!
I love Muriel’s. From the staff and the friendliness with their impeccable service to the food itself and the cocktails, this is one of my favorites when I am in the French quarter several times a year. I brought someone who had never been before and she couldn’t quit talking about how great her entree was. Coolinary is a great idea which allows people to eat so reasonably priced and sample much of the menu.
This was such a fun dining experience! We loved the food- ordered the coolinary dinners- salad, pork chops and cremé brûlée & turtle soup, shrimp and grits and bread pudding. Service was on point. Outside balcony seating was great. The building itself has so much history and is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend Muriel’s during your New Orleans visit for fine dining. It was one of our top 3 restaurants out of the many we’ve eaten at!
Outstanding as always. Even considering the restrictions due to Covid, they continued to provide the same level of service. Can’t wait to go back.
Muriel’s is the cleanest restaurant that we have been to since the pandemic started. All of the employees and management adhered to their stated safety policies.
Loved the creative way that the tables were partitioned
The food was excellent We all ordered from the Coolinary menu. Great choices available and everything prepared in an excellent manner
Will return soon
Enjoyed very much. A tad noisy in the main dining room. But the service was impeccable. The food was delicious. We will be back.
The Coolinary Menu was perfect, and delicious, and the atmosphere was terrific too.
Thanks for a great dinner with our family!
Great food. Surprised by how few patrons present on a Friday night. Mask requirements more stringent than others in New Orleans currently.
Adam & his partner were phenomenal.
Due to a nice breeze and lower humidity, we ate on the balcony overlooking Jackson Square and had a great time with delicious food and fantastic service.
We are very Covid-sensitive but had a NOLA trip scheduled and reserved at Muriel’s as we’ve had several good experiences there. They didn’t disappoint! The service was excellent and we felt very safe and comfortable.
Amazing food, kind staff. Due to COVID-19 they scan guest before entry which I appreciate and keeps us safe. We enjoyed it alot.
This place did NOT disappoint. The recommendation by waiter for the grilled porkchop was spot on. Best food ever...seriously. service was too notch waiters had personality but remained professional. The Manger even checked in on me.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with a friend. Wait staff was awesome. Each item deleted from the menu was delicious. I will find here again.
My goodness! Amazing food in a location so perfect they could get away with serving just mediocre fare. BUT THEY DON'T! Frizzeled leeks? Yes please! Pesto linguine that'll leave you saying "I can't believe I ate the whole thing... and yet I can!" Leave room for the flourless chocolate torte!
Our servers were excellent and Travis was spot on, best bread pudding hands down!!
