On target personal service that wonderfully exceeded just taking an order....food that brought sighs all around.....and music that fed the soul as well. Lovely New Orleans experience.

One of the best Jazz Brunch experiences. Service is impeccable and the atmosphere is understated elegance. Had the Classic New Orleans brunch, a stellar bowl of Gumbo which was large enough to share, a perfectly executed omelet with shrimp and andouille covered with a Creole sauce and bread pudding to finish. Other guests at our table had the shrimp crepes and the Eggs Benedict - all were very pleased with the meal.

We were in town from Texas for special birthdays. We have visited New Orleans for over 30 years and this by far was one of our favorite dinners! A local friend recommended Muriel's and she was right- fabulous! Ask about table under the stairs or in wine room for private dining. Beautiful building.

Service was very slow....we were seated for several minutes before they even gave us menus. Food took a long time to come after the appetizer. Food tasted very good.

Simply a must-do in New Orleans! The restaurant is beautiful, the wait-staff impeccable, the food outstanding, the cocktails exemplary and the ambience thoroughly relaxing and inviting.

Started off with the Turtle Soup (OMG), segued to the Wild Mushroom Gnocchi (OMG, OMG) and moved on the Sage Duck and Dirty Rice (head explosion). Pain Perdu Bread Pudding for dessert. I started with a perfect Sazerac, moved on to another perfect Sazerac (interesting and successful pairing, really) and, I confess, slipped in a last Sazerac with dessert. Pain Perdu and Rye are legitimate inferences...

My wife relished her Roasted Beet Salad and Roasted Vegetable "Pot Pie" and was ecstatic with her Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee, which they attentively warmed for her (family tradition). The Séance Room was closing for an event, but our waiter slipped us in for a private tour (don't miss it).

If you have limited time to enjoy New Orleans and the Quarter, put Muriel's at the very top of your dining list.

My husband and I are first time travelers to NOLA and had a good time at Muriel’s. The cocktails were delicious! The entrees, however, were not as delicious as we had hoped! My husband ordered the seafood bouillabaisse and found multiple pieces of crab shells /fish fins? in the meatballs. We understand and can ignore 1 or 2 pieces, but the fact there were 5 pieces in ONE MEATBALL is ridiculous! The meatballs are not large by any means, which almost makes it worse. Everything else was wonderful!

The speciation way high but the overall service and quality was disappointing from the reception to the first lady server. The only one that had a good service and went over and beyond was the gentleman server. Definitely was very disappointed.

The place is nicely located, quiet and everything was fine up to the starter which was good.
Then we had to wait for 45 mn for our entree!

We returned to Muriel’s specifically for the Duck Hash on the brunch menu. We had it three years ago, and it was excellent. New Year’s Day, however, it was basically hash brown potatoes with very little duck meat and two eggs on top. There were also very few peppers in the dish. It seemed that the entire dish was extremely “cut down” since we had it three years ago. It was disappointing for sure. The service was great, and the other dishes ordered at the table were enjoyable. I would return, but surely wouldn’t order the duck dish again.

Great food and excellent service! Definitely exceeded expectations, which centered around Muriel's being such an iconic tourist stop. My son and I went for New Year's Day brunch and the entire experience was delightful. I had turtle soup and pecan-crusted drum fish -- both were delicious and just as described by the waiter. My son had the 3-course brunch: turtle soup, mushroom omelet and bread pudding. The dining room was sunny, comfortable, quiet and perfect for people watching. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a refined yet totally accessible genuine NOLA dining experience.

Outstanding experience at Muriel’s. We were there on a busy New Year’s Eve. We were seated before our reservation time. The food was great. Although busy, we didn’t have to wait long for the food. All staff—from the hostesses to the wait staff to the managers—were all very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Muriel’s.

Food is always great here but the service at the restaurant was terrible that day. I suppose it was due to New Year's Eve but we've been there before when it's been busy and didn't have to wait over an hour for our food

We had Sunday jazz brunch here on New Years Eve, and food was great, but service abit disorganized due to the large crowds and walk-ins waiting. Just off Jackson Square in historic tastefully restored building. Jazz combo made it festive. Bread pudding is a killer!!

One of my favorite restaurants in NOLA. excellent location right off Jackson Square . Charming ambiance reminiscent of old New Orleans. Service is impeccable. Food is excellent. Strongly recommend making reservations (at our visit for Sunday Brunch, those who did not have reservations faced a minimum 40 minute wait). We always make a point of having a meal here whenever in the Quarter.

Lovely building on Jackson square. Food was delicious; the vegetable pot pie was sweet and creamy, the pastry flaky. The shrimp omelet was apparently very good as well, and the garlic infused potatoes that came with it were outstanding. Very professional service. Classic ambiance. Would recommend.
