Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville & when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's best bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan, & is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation & a drink amongst its plush surroundings.

Brunch was delicious and service was excellent. However, I was a bit disappointed in the jazz...the musicians played for about 20 minutes after I arrived and then took a break of almost an hour. Maybe stagger the musicians?

I could have died and gone to heaven after eating the goat cheese crepes with the shrimp remoulade and had no regrets, but then I would have missed out on the bread pudding which was divine. Their prix fix menu was a great deal, my wife and I dined for under $100 not including tip, which would have been tough using the a la carte menu, and we're able to try a number of different flavor panels--she had the turtle soup and the panko crusted baby drum, I had the "bayou baisse" which was basically a spicy tomato-based seafood fricasse over orzo pasta. Magnificent!

Muriel’s came as a recommendation and what a good recommendation it was! The food was wonderful. The goat cheese and shrimp crepes were beyond delicious! The desserts were decadent and the wait staff was very attentive. I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone!

From the time I walked into the restaurant, until the time we left, we were met with wonderful service. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food was outstanding. Every bite was DELICIOUS! I will want to return here.

Classic New Orleans venue, right in the heart of the French Quarter. Very lively, but conversation was easy.

Nothing disappointing here - a great all round experience. In our party, we had large, fresh salads to start, then went on to excellent main dishes - bayoubaisse and seared tuna. Desserts and drinks did not disappoint. Only slight negatives, dishes were at times over salted and the bread was unimpressive.

Service was terrific with our having a food waiter (Kris) as well as a wine waiter both of whom we always available and courteous.

Turtle soup isn’t what it used to be! In the past, this was my favorite stomping ground for turtle soup. This visit my husband and I both had a large cup (they call it a bowl and it’s $9)....There was very little turtle in the recipe. Mostly tomatoes and it was overly flourged. Quite disappointing! On the positive side, I had a wonderful steak salad, which was prepared perfectly with a generous portion of greens and steak. My husband gumbo was also absent of much seafood. I think the message here is if you order any kind of seafood or stew, make sure you’re getting plenty of the ‘main’ Ingredient; or ask them to take it back and replenish. The upstairs patio which faces the French quarter and Jackson Square, is a lovely place for a drink. Sadly, they do not serve food there. Sunday brunch features a three-piece jazz ensemble which is always nice.
