Muriel’s never disappoints! We came in around 7:30pm when we had a 9:15pm reservation but the staff was able to accommodate the our early arrival (even though the restaurant was busy)! We sat in the courtyard area for the first time and it was beautiful. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. It’s my favorite restaurant in the city and we will always be back!
Really wonderful food and service. Staff took great care of us, and the food was the best we had all weekend.
Everything about Muriel’s is fantastic!
From the Cocktails to the ghost stories!
Great food and atmosphere! Perfect location. Can’t wait to come back.
Very disappointing experience. We have dined there many times and always had exceptional service and food. Not this time...over cooked food, terrible service, its was very disappointing.
Great service, food was delicious. Accommodated our request for courtyard seating for six people to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary! My hubby even had a ghost scare walking down the stairs from the 2nd floor balcony. Haaaaa ! Great night
Yesterday was I’m sure the busiest day at Muriel’s in a year since the Pandemic started. It was the first day that vaccinated citizens could go maskless. That being said, hats off to the entire staff there. We had reservations and were quickly seated by a very sweet young lady at the front door. Our server was absolutely excellent and the support servers were on their game. We enjoyed most everything (the chicken was a little dry)and the desserts (the creme brûlée was so delicious)were some of the best I’ve ever had. I would love to go back as soon as possible.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food. The staff was attentive and kind. I would recommend it to anyone looking to splurge on a fancy dinner.
Best meal we had in New Orleans! All of the food was top quality and the staff was very professional.
Fun restaurant—great service.
Muriels never disappoints. Fish was fabulous and man oh man that wedge salad rocked!! They have a reasonable 3-course deal for $45 which we took advantage of. I’d highly recommend this restaurant :)
Food was fantastic and we arrived about 10-15 minutes early for our reservation and they took us back right away. We had our loud baby who was very cranky at the time and the wait staff went out of their way to bring the baby’s food early and talk to her and calm her down. They did a great job treating us like VIP rather than the couple with the screaming baby. (Sorry about that!)
Excelente comida, servicio y precio en un area muy hermosa
Very friendly waiter and food was amazing. Highly recommend the Crème brûlée
As tourists in NOLA we found this experience very fulfilling, the food is amazing, its rich in flavour, the portions are large and prices are more than fair. It is a unique experience to be part of a restaurant that has so much history within. The service is expectional, I not only recommend this place for your visit in NOLA, it is a MUST!
I Enjoyed my dinning experience at Muriel's
From the Host to my Waiters everyone was so pleasant and helpful. This is was my first dinner for my NOLA birthday experience I am so glad I chose this restaurant. I had the Crispy Onion Salmon medium well and it was delicious, it was cooked to perfection for dessert I had the Vanilla Bean Créme Brûlée. OMG best Créme Brûlée I ever had. I recommend this restaurant not only due to its beautiful Aestic; but also the guest and food experience is by far the best I've received in NOLA.
Our servers were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is fairly laid back. The food menu isn’t large but every single thing we had was outstanding.
Shrimp and grits were delicious, roasted chicken dinner and gumbo satisfied us all. Very attentive servers all doing multiple tasks. Manager came over to ask how our meals were, nice touch . Beautiful surroundings as well.
Absolutely love this restaurant we come every time we are here. It gets 6 stars from me
Bring back the Indian dish.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcccc
We were visiting from California and again and didn’t have a chance to eat at Muriel’s last time, so we made it a priority to have dinner at this beautiful restaurant this time around. We were not disappointed, dinner was delicious! The restaurant is a must see, from the table reserved to eat with the ghost of Muriel’s to the Seance Room!
Truly an awesome place to enjoy drinks and/or a lovely dinner. The balcony overlooks the square and is wonderful to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine. The dining room is comfortable and well decorated. LOVE the seance room on the 2nd floor and the table set for the ghost of the previous owner! Definitely read about the history and its haunted past before going! Adds much to the experience. Food was fantastic and service was excellent.
Food was delicious. Seated in a great location and the service could not have been better. The salmon was cooked perfectly.
Awesome. Food was absolutely great. I would come back.
Muriel’s is always our go-to restaurant when we are in New Orleans! The food is outstanding and worth the little higher price. Service is always good.
Try the shrimp and grits...uniquely prepared and so delicious!!!
Great food, amazing service. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting NOLA.
They offered 5 dishes on Mother's Day. They ran out of the steak. I ordered the trout with jumbo lump crabmeat. They ran out of crab and topped it with Crawfish instead without letting us know. The appetizers came out barely lukewarm. We asked for bread and were told they did not have any bread. We then asked for crackers which they brought, but no butter. My fish came out piping hot, but had a long hair in it. They took it back to make a new one which took about 20 minutes. My family had all finished their meals, so I ate alone on Mother's Day. Also, when I finally did receive it, it was not piping hot. I have also been there for Easter and many of the same issues. They apparently can't handle the crowds on holidays. Not impressive at all.
Food was great, wish there would of been more food available on the menu
What a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch! Muriel's is such a beautiful place to dine. We took advantage of the three course offering and enjoyed the chance to slow down our dining experience first with a Fleur de Lis cocktail. We began with the crawfish crepes, moved on to crawfish cakes on top of a corn maque choux, and ended with crème brule. Such an exquisite meal. We were not rushed and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Muriel's also offers their own Russian River Valley Chardonnay which was very good. What was even better is the fact that it was a short walk from our hotel. Not our first time visiting, and we will be back.
Great Mother’s Day luncheon! Good food and drink and excellent service. Very enjoyable experience!
The food and service were both excellent! Shrimp and grits were amazing!
Service started a bit slow. When we had issues with our meal we had to ask another server our server never returned after bringing dinner out.
The staff, food, and views were all amazing! We had balcony seating right above the front doors and could see Jackson Square and the crowds go by the whole time. Staff was incredibly attentive and polite and prompt.
We had a table on the balcony and high hopes for our dinner. Unfortunately, it was very windy and our table overlooked a homeless man that was half dressed and openly exploring his body parts on the street. The turtle soup was delicious! One of us ordered fish that was overcooked. The other had shrimp and grits - they were very good. Our bread pudding for dessert was tasty but nothing special. We enjoyed nice cocktails and overall it was a pleasant experience.
Our favorite New Orleans restaurant, K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen has closed, but Muriel’s is a good replacement. Good food, good wine, good service, couldn’t have asked for more.
The food was amazing! Luis, our server, was on point -- always near by, but not distracting. It was great to sit outside with the lively Jackson Square below us.
Everything was great. They even had a second line going through Jackson square
The goat and crawfish crepe was phenomenal as well as the butternut squash soup for an appetizer. Our entire party cleaned our plates for the entree and we tried every dessert each better than the last. However our waiter did spill a glass of ice water on a member of our party but we all had a good laugh. He claims “it was cool and refreshing”, although we half expected him to have a complimentary drink for the incident but nothing was giver however it was an honest mistake and a great meal.
The staff are incredible and went out of the way to make sure we had a wonderful experience! When you visit NOLA, I definitely recommend the dining experience and seance room/lounge afterwards.
