Used to love Mura, so much so I went there for my 50th birthday. It has been a few months before I have been there but the overall quality and service as gone downhill tremendously! Used to be a high recommendation now Not at all!! Can't recommend this Place anymore!
Over cooked and they re done it not to cook it right and never refill the water
Service was very slow as well as kitchen. We had 4:30 pm reservations.
great food but reservation was at 8:30 and we didn't receive our meal until close to 10pm. This was our third time here and the first time that service was an issue.

Food was great! Sushi was great! Service was trash; I made reservations, I was seated then waited another 10 minutes to even get water, waited another 15 before someone asked us if we had been helped finally got helped. Rushed to order all our food for fear that it’d be another 20 minutes before someone came to help us. Took forever to get our checks
This was our first time visiting Mura. We had a reservation and were sat when we arrived. I saw a booth open beside the table she was leading us to and requested to sit there; I was told no, I have to place that request when I make the reservation. We sat and were greeted by a waitress after about 2-3min; everything was good until we actually ordered. We waited approx 50min (restaurant moderately busy) and watched multiple tables who were sat after us receive their meals before us. We were not provided any updates from the wait staff. We did not order anything complicated. My husband ordered sushi only and I ordered udon noodles with shrimp. When the food finally arrived, he said that they had made my noodles wrong and had to remake them. The food was decent but definitely not worth an almost hour wait. We may or may not return for a second visit to see if this is their norm or a fluke.
Seemrvice was good. We were looking for a place to sit outside since it was so lovely today. Always great food!
Good food. Good atmosphere. Drink service was a little slow, but not horrible. Server was good at assisting with food choices and understanding our wants and needs. Overall very enjoyable.
It had been a while since we had dined at Mura and all 4 of us were very pleased with our dinners. It felt like a quieter and delicious antidote to the the many crowded restaurants in the North Hills area. Loved the damages with truffle oil. We shall certainly return!
Table was too small
I took my daughter to Mura for her sweet sixteen birthday dinner. She ordered the chicken breast and when the dish came out, it was just two bland, overcooked, tiny pieces of meat. They were on a bed of unseasoned rice with nothing else on the plate. I forget the exact price, but it was in the mid-$20 range. We sent it back and my daughter was so disappointed that we ended up getting Chinese take-out from another restaurant later on in the evening.
That said, the staff at Mura was wonderful and accommodating and I commend them for how they handled us sending the food back. Also, the sushi, dessert, and drinks were all very good. I just wouldn't get the chicken breast dish, nor can I believe it ever left the kitchen in the condition it was in and for the price it cost. I'm a food writer, and in the past, I included Mura on a top 30 list of Triangle restaurants, but I would not include them on another list in the future, unfortunately.
Loved our waiter, Jake. He was very attentive. The sushi rolls were delicious as always! The only disappointment was that the specialty February roll did not come to table in shape of heart like it did a previous time this month for us.
We were so disappointed by our visit last Saturday night, 2/10/18. Mura is one of our very favorite restaurants, but it did not measure up during this visit. Upon entering the dining room, we were struck by the very strong smell of bleach. I went to the restroom, only to be greeted by an almost-intolerable smell of bleach and a very big mess. The mess on the floor just had a "Wet Floor" sign over it, rather then having been cleaned up. Our food was good, but did not meet our expectations from previous visits. The servings were much smaller and the quality was not worth the cost this time. We were sorely disappointed.
Menu is a bit limited if you don’t want raw sushi at lunch. Would like multiple soup (non dairy) options with cooked sushi or meat/rice combinations. Loved dessert options during restaurant week.
Waiter was a bit anxious to get our order started, but slow to refill drinks and give us our bill. Overall very good experience and we will be coming back!
Server was a bit too attentive, taking our plates away before we were finished. I guess I should have mentioned special occasion in addition to putting it on reservation, no clue...they moved us along to turn table. In and out. Food delicious.
Underwhelmed in all aspects.
Piano sushi was really tasty. My friend and I were both not completely thrilled with our orders of short ribs (too salty) or pad Thai noodles. Atmosphere is great for get together and conversation.
We had never been to Mura and thought that going for Triangle Restaurant week would be the ideal time to go, we didn't even end up ordering off the restaurant week menu. The sushi is amazing!!
Mura is consisently a 5 Star experience and I have 50 check ins! I cannot wait to go back.

The food as per my rating was very good.
However what we had to go through to get it was inexcusable.
IF we ever go back it would be for lunch, to see if our experience was a dinner service problem.
The waiter was not very pleasant during our visit. We asked for soy sauce and he never brought it to the table.
The person who seated us was unnecessarily rude and definitely needed an attitude adjustment! However, our server and the food MORE than made up for the rocky start. It would be in a diner's best interest to request a BOOTH, rather than the small tables that are otherwise available.
I enjoy Mura very much - my husband and I have ate there several times and the service and food are always excellent. I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu the last time we went and was happily surprised by how creative the selections were. Highly recommend!
Went for Triangle restaurant week. Nice to have a thoughtful vegetarian option rather than the usual basic sushi cucumber rolls. Tempeh katsu was great, as were the veggie gyoza and veggie sushi rolls.
Restaurant week 2018: excellent choices of menus. Good value. Looked at their regular menus too and they all looked good. Food, service, and atmosphere definitely makes this restaurant one of my favorite japanese place in triangle. Will definitely come back!
Wanted to try Mura’s for restaurant week as hadn’t tried it. Excellent choices for three courses for $15. Will definitely be back in future.
overall very good. service was good, selection was good, food was very tasty. I'm not huge into spending that kind of $$ on a dinner, but as long as the price suits your budget, i'd highly recommend.

My favorite sushi in Raleigh! Very well prepared, extremely attractive presentation, and tastes fantastic.
Always a pleasant place to dine, but disappointed in dinner menu, this time around...While the food was well prepared and presented and the roasted garlic fried rice has amazing flavor and meats were perfectly cooked, there are few pricey choices, ...used to serve a tempura meal...now just an appetizer at dinner. Wish they continued to offer some of their lunch entrees after 4pm. The sushi menu, however, is delightful, if you're hungering for that.
I highly recommend this place, they have very good Sushi rolls and the service is great. We go there at least twice a month with my husband.
Every thing was great. The only problem I had that the floor was wet near the hostess desk and I slipped and caught on to a bar table and my friend as not to fall. The hostess was very unconcerned and said that, “Yes, it’s wet due to the rain”. I suggested a wet floor sign and she more or less shrugged it off. I told our waiter and he said he would take care of it and he did.
My waiter was on top of everything and he was very nice. We will definitely go back again.
