It was a great meal. Thankfully, they moved us to the back of the restaurant where it was quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service was wonderful. Will be back again!
Food was flavorful, might have picked something different. Some things a bit overpriced
Good vegan varieties, but many items are too salty.
Excellent! Tasty. Great before going to the Huntington Theater.
Ideal for a casual meal before going to symphony Hall. The appetizers were delicious, as was the tandoori shrimp dish.
Never again... run by amateurs from staff to chef.. maybe this is good for students but I can’t see too many who can afford the bill
We enjoy the blend of South Asian and Chinese influences here. It's a go-to before the symphony. Service, though, has always been slow, feels almost like an afterthought!
Have eaten here multiple times. It's proximity to Symphony Hall was the initial draw. If the food were not high quality, we would not dine there as often.
Mumbai Spice is a quality Indian restaurant (with Chinese-Indian options on the menu) that provides a good array of vegetarian and vegan options. The service is generally friendly and efficient. There are very reasonable wine options. Overall, a dependably enjoyable dining experience for this vegetarian.
Always enjoy Mumbai Spice and go there often.
Perfect location across from Symphony Hall. The food was delicious. We had the special lamb kabobs, and a chicken dish in a mildly spicy vinegar sauce (not sour, though). Salt and pepper cauliflower for our starter was also good, and the rasmalai was light and creamy. The service was friendly but chaotic. It was 35 minutes before they took our order. The appetizer came promptly, but then there was another long gap for the mains. Then they charged our card for the wrong amount (to be fair, they noticed first, but still had to redo it). Fortunately, we were just across the street, so we had time. Go early, and make a reservation; they were turning people away.
They have an extensive menu with lots of options. The food was very good. The service could have been more responsive.
Great menu. Lots of options. Perfect location for dinner before heading to BSO.
We keep coming back to Mumbai Spice. We've eaten at many good Indian cuisine-type restaurants over the years, but Mumbai Spice keeps surprising us with takes on this cuisine we'd never expect - and high-quality renditions of familiar dishes.
I’d recommend for a quick inexpensive meal. Chicken tikka sauce as delicious but short on chicken. Veg biryanis was bland. Naan was yummy. Chickpeas/spinach was tasty.
This is a nice addition to the restaurants near Boston Symphony Hall. Everything was done well, friendly service and good food. I was especially happy with the noise level, so that we could have a very nice conversation while dining. I will definitely return.
Excellent food and service. I’d go there again the next time I’m in Boston.
Mumbai Spice was good but we have had better Indian food.
We happened upon this last month when we were parking for the Huntington Theater and were thrilled for a different restaurant posttheater. Everything was so delicious that we had to go back this month. Excellent choices and great variety. Deliciously cooked. thank you. This will be our new go to after theater or symphony.
My fiancee and I drove up to Boston from NJ for the weekend and we really wanted some Indian food. Mumbai Spice was damn good! Our server, Rabia, was also very nice and sweet as well and even fulfilled my request for Vodka being added to the mango lassi. Thank You! :)
Great spot for a dinner before going to the Pops. The food was tasty and the service was wonderful. Not dressy at all.
Actually terrible food. Definitely not worth the money, especially since it's pretty expensive. Quantity of food is really bad too.
Good food with reasonable prices near symphony hall! What's not to like?
We love Mumbai Spice before Symphony, Huntington, or a performance at NEC. The food is always fantastic and the service is sublime. Before a show, or any night, it's a perfect choice.
I was craving for an Indian taste so preferred to visit this place since it was to prudential centre. The staff is co-operative. In fact I ordered martini but I forgot to mention that I don't drink alcohol. It was really nice of them to exchange my drink. If I visit Boston downtown will surely visit this place again.
Service is always sketchy but the food is yummy and the location is perfect for pre-concert dining. Many good vegan options.
This was our second visit as we liked it so much the first time, we went back the next time we were in the neighborhood. It's a great find so close to Symphony Hall.
Very nice authentic Indian food with interesting flavors and spices. Will definitely return for future concerts at the BSO
Second time at Mumbai Spice & have only positive things to say. The food is excellent, the waitstaff is attentive & very accommodating. The small intimate setting makes it a good choice for a special occasion or casual dinner.
Loved the food. The service was really good as it seems like all the waitstaff keep an eye on all the tables, so we were never left with empty water glasses or dirty plates on the table. We are planning on going back before our next concert at Symphony Hall.
This was an excellent pre symphony hall dinner. Good food, good timing, great location.
We went to Mumbai Spice pre-concert at the BSO. It was a wonderful experience. We had reservations so we were seated promptly. The food was delicious and the service very good.
It was a very good value and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Terrible service. Only one server. Got order wrong, couldn’t find her, drinks late
First time here but definitely will be back! Excellent food, good service and great atmosphere. Wish I could duplicate the recipe for a cucumber martini- very refreshing and a great compliment to the aromatic rich menu!!
Good food. Terrible service! Order everything in one go else you will probably have to wait for an hour at least.
This was our first time at Mumbai Spice, and thought it was one of the best Indian-style dinners we'd ever had, and we've eaten at Indian restaurants many times. The cuisine was really unusual in our experience, and it was all delicious. We will certainly be back.
Took my daughter to the Symphony and we started the night at Mumbai Spice. What a great choice! We both loved the food and wait staff was attentive and helpful when we had questions. Lots of veg/vegan options. We’ll be back!
Mumbai Spice is a pleasant and tasty restaurant with enough unusual stuff beyond what you find on the menu of your average Indian restaurant to make things interesting. I go there primarily because it's a convenient spot for dinner and chatting with friends before hearing music at Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall or the Berklee Performance Center or going to the Huntington Theater. I've been at least 10 times and plan to keep going.
Booking with opentable really helped me since there was wait at the restaurant.Food was delivered bit late but can understand given the day and time. Overall it was pretty good experience
Terrible service and Terrible food. We had to wait for more than 30 minutes in spite of making a reservation.
Ordered quite a few indo Chinese food items. Some were cold, some had a horrible taste and one had hair in it. One of the worst food experiences.
