The food as delicious, specially the prawns. I round the Price a little bit high.
Very cosy restaurant. Had a great time with my famiky. Food was great other than the poppadums which didnot taste fresh. It seemed as though they were fried in very old oil. Portion sizes were very small and felt we had to keep ordering extra. Staff were pleasant but found them frustrating as they wont clear the table quick enough.
I went here on Saturday for mums birthday. The food was between reasonable and good depending on what was ordered. I felt it was a little bit over priced but actually given quality of friendly service didn't mind so much. I would return if I lived locally.
Nice restaurant with good food. Friendly staff. The menu had a good selection.
Handy for going out in vauxhall afterwards
Nice food. We turned up earlier than booking due to cold weather and they fitted us in. Meal was a bit cost a bit more than I would usually pay for Indian meal. But food was good.
We visited on a very busy Saturday evening. The service was very good and we really enjoyed our meal. We do not like spicy hot Indian food and we were able to find several dishes that were to our liking and very flavorful.
We found this restaurant through an on line search. We were staying overnight in Westminster and reports recommended the food. It is only a small restaurant with friendly staff. But the meal was quality. Highly recommended!
No strangers to this restaurant, we arrived almost an hour before our booking and the place was extremely busy. The staff were unfazed and we had drinks and then were seated. I felt a bit guilty and putting them out but they were charming and helpful as ever. The food was of a high standard and beautifully served. Always worth a visit!
Really lovely dinner - for Indian food in London, it was actually quite well done and not greasy at all. Had a full complement of allergy-free menus as well (Celiac's and nut allergies were issues for our party and could be easily accommodated). The chef was especially attentive and courteous.
This restaurant coped very efficiently with a group of eight of us late at night. The welcome was charming and the food very good. There is a limited choice of wine but the less expensive wine which we had was very palatable. At around £25 a head including service charge this is good value.
Food was simply amazing!! traditional Indian cuisine done to perfection! Couldn’t have had a better meal
A fairly standard menu but good quality food at very reasonable prices.
I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend, and have also been with my parents at one point. It's a well decorated and nice looking restaurant, with a good atmosphere. All the food I've had so far has been very tasty, and I would suggest anyone wanting Indian food to try this place out.
The only issue I've had with the restaurant is that it can get a bit loud if there's a lot of people there.
The food was amazing. It was flavour some and not spicy. I would highly recommend veg kofta curry..It was the best I have ever had.
Fantastic and delicious with good service and prices
It was our first time at Mumbai Delight. The food was absolutely wonderful, good value and the chef/owner was very attentive. I can highly recommend the tarka dhal! The only thing that let it down was the waiting staff, who generally seemed disenchanted and unfriendly. The girl that served our food kept knocking into me as she served it, and it took them ages to clear our table away when we’d finished, to the point I had to eventually ask them, despite several staff walking past.
I booked this restaurant because of its proximity to a theatre I attend regularly with a group of friends and was able to book a table for 8 people 10.30pm! We were warmly welcomed on arrival and a table had been prepared for us. I had already chosen from the online menu to save time and the food came promptly and was most delicious and appreciated by my friends. We ate well and the bill which included two bottles of good wine came to about £24 a head. I hope that we shall return on our next visit to the area in January.
Had a fab night at Mumbai. Food was very tasty and good service
A charming experience! We enjoyed the warm hospitality and gracious atmosphere. The delicious and authentic food was even better!
Great service, yummy food but not very spicy (of that's what you're after!). Would definitely go back.
Our experience was exceptional, and our host went above and beyond explaining the dishes on the menu and how our dishes were prepared. He was very knowledgeable about the kitchen and the food. The atmosphere was very cozy and tasteful, with a modern interior. We ordered the paneer lababdar, which was a rare find on the menu. We plan on coming here again in the near future. The meal was very affordable as well.
Finally found the local Indian restaurant we've been looking for. One of the best meals I've eaten in London, as good as any Indian meal I've eaten in the country. Outstanding food.
This place was one of the best place so far we found in London. Everything we ordered was delicious. Fresh, flavorful, hot. The service was impeccable even though there was a huge group that took almost the entire rest of the restaurant. Two nights later, we went to Dishoom based on several Londoners recommendations. And while the location at Dishoom is very pretty, the food was clearly better at Mumbai Delight. Highly recommend it. Definitely worth going out of your way for.
Staying in the area for business and wanted some good Indian food. I found Mumbai Delight based other reviews and was not disappointed. I arrived earlier than my colleague and was the first in restaurant. The server (owner I believe) quickly greeted me and showed me to my table so I could get settled. Once my colleague arrived we placed our order and were not disappointed by the food or the service. I would recommend this restaurant to others and will be visiting again. They also do take-out which I will be using.
Very good food and portions, very good wine list with cocktails
I was staying in holiday inn, looked for good curry and found on google very good reviews. So decided to go there so far food was so good and service was very nice I am glad that Main chef Ajay was suggested me my food and lovely Indian wine thanks to young chef Ajay and his team. If I am around I will take the opportunity to go back to Mumbai delight.
Very nice and clean place as food is have great taste dint had anywhere so far in U.K. Good time spent in Mumbai Delight
One the best authentic Indian food I had after long time
Recommended to me by a friend who lives there. All I say worth going there excellent food and service.
Excilent food and service, better than Masala Zone and Dishoom I will definitely back with friends and family. I highly recommend this place must visit if you are in London.
Went here with my partner for an evening meal around 9pm on a Saturday night - was very quiet, but was nice for easy conversation without having to shout. A mix of families and couples and pleasant Indian music.
Food was generally good - the pros being the non-veg platter (very tasty) and the chili paneer starter (very spicy but great!), however the lows were the sauces with the poppadoms; a red one tasted exactly like a cheap tomato ketchup with some chili added. It's unfortunate because this low was one of the first things we ate and made a negative impression early on.
Service was good - the person I imagine was the owner was very pleasant and chatty and made a very good impression.
All in all nice, but little things could be improved upon.
Decent Indian food. A bit busy so service was a tad slow and inconsistent.
Great food in lovely surroundings, highly recommended
Authentic Indian cuisine and excellent dining experience.
The food and service is always excellent, so friendly and interesting, different food options. Hidden gem!
The staff are very friendly and the food is good. Two of the dishes went unfinished as the portion sizes are decent.
I think they were short of front of house staff due to sickness hence service was slow. Otherwise excellent.
Took my American relatives who wanted some great Indian food while in London and they were not disappointed. The food is great and the servers were friendly and attentive. The only complaint is that the "spicy" dishes were not spicy at all. We ordered a few dished that had the maximum spice level as noted on the menu, but couldn't taste any heat at all. But the flavours were so good that we didn't really care. Try the chicken lollipops starter, those were my favourite.
You were greeted at the door with pleasant staff. Overall the staff at Mumbai Delight was very Friendly and hospitable. They attended to All your needs. Food was lovely Bangladesh type food not like the normal Indian cuisine.
Would definitely recommend
