Good food and live music. Apple pie is top notch
The food was excellent, the service was the worst we experienced while on Maui. I believe it was more of a staffing issue rather than the server.
Classic Irish fare. Live music or other entertainment most nights, good view
They failed to honor our Opentable reservation! For events reservations they are a nightmare!
I read many negative reviews on Yelp and almost cancelled my reservations. Very happy I didn’t as it was very good. Food was hot and delicious and very friendly service. We’ll be back.
Entertainment was amazing! We would go only for that. Our server was terrible - didn’t know any of the dishes, what soup was being offered - nothing - took order - forgot what she wrote down - came back 30 minutes later to ask what I ordered - hence our order was put in 30 mins later - menu says kids menu comes with dessert - we asked - she said she would check (it says right on the menu), I had to track her down 35 mins later for said dessert. Our bill had the table beside us added onto ours - they were across the restaurant. Only thing keeping that place open and people coming in is the entertainment.
Not a place for dinner, even with the children. Probably a great place to wTch a game.
Great view and nice music offered. We each had burgers and they were good-sized and tasty - nothing fancy. The fries were crispy and good.
We were very disappointed. Arrived, they had no idea of our reservation. We waited fir a long time- two people in our party did not get their food after two hours. Felt sorry fir the severs as they clearly were under stress. Not sure what the problem was but it was now where in line with our firmer experience, two years ago. Entertainment was sub par.
Twenty minute wait to be seated even with reservation.
Constant people walking by saying they will be with you in one minute and don’t.
Hostess blames open table and the restaurant taking a seating of 47.
Checked open table and they were still taking reservations at that moment for that time slot.
One menu for a family of hour.
Drinks waiter very nice and truthful but visibly overwhelmed.
Drinks took 15 minutes.
Told us it would be a minimum of 60-90 minute wait for food.
Decided to leave and I saw families who had being sitting there since as we arrived and before we were seated still with no appetizers.
As an Irish person going to an Irish bar out of patriotism, what a bad experience.
We have dined here before. Upon entering it took forever to find the host to be seated, which happened to be a waiter. I asked him if he was the only person working and he said there was another server. He was running around busy. The tables outside didn’t appear to be clean, and there was a chandelier in the dining room with several lights out. We needed up leaving and going to Sorrento’s.
The big 60 Birthday
Dingy room. Food served cold. Bored server.
Made a reservation for my family. We get there and "sorry sir, a private event" Others behind us also were turned away. Last night in Maui - thanks for nothing. And to top it off, I went back to opentable and it was still allowing reservations to be made.
They were having a private event so we were told to leave after one hour
Magic show kept my 2 year old off his iPad for the whole dinner so it was worth it. I wouldn't go here if it wasn't for magic show. Food okay and service bad.
We had a great time. We visited with a friend of my Dad’s. I ate fish for the first time! I had fish and chips. It was delicious!
Made a reservation for lunch arrived and they were closed for a concert tonight. No notification no phone call. Very disappointed
The food, when it finally came after an hour plus, was very good. However when a service industry like yours promotes restaurant week there should be staffing to accommodate. The service was no reflection on our waiter as he was clearly run off his feet, but rather a reflection on management for not foreseeing staffing problems.
Arrived and stood by the hostess stand while several staff members walked by. Was told to sit anywhere, so much for reservations. Sat at the bar where we were largely ignored. Had a lady approach us to complain that our ride share driver dropped us off at the wrong place. Poor lighting outside made it unclear where to go for pickup as well. Had to flag down service for drink refills. Live music was good.
Food was horrible.... music was like a senior citizen home ... server was nice
Everything was just ok and we kind of expected more from a restaurant in Wailea. We were the only table eating inside where the entertainers were, and we wished we'd chosen a table outside. There was nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding either.
It’s great to have the outdoor dining area, perfect place to showcase new talent, love listening to music at
We really enjoyed the fish and chips.
We were there by accident on Magician Tues, so we got a show too. The food was ok, Shepherds pie was bland, but good they dropped the Guinness stew. Too bad. The have increased their Vegan/Vegetarian, gluten free menu.
Went for Irish food and were not disappointed. The Bangers and Mash and the Shepherds Pie were as good as any we have had in the UK and more favorably priced. The place felt as Irish as it could in an Hawaiian setting and an Irish balladeer completed the feeling. Only complaint is that they need to turn the volume down a little
Food was tasty
Service was good (maybe a little slow based on the fact that the place was empty)
Guinness was good
Live music was pleasant enough
Overall a good experience
Terrible service and mediocre food. They got one of our orders wrong 3 times and never compensated for that meal. Staff never apologized for the inconvenience. Ordered a desert which took 30 minutes to come out.
I had friends visiting me from Oregon and am so happy we decided to go to Mulligans last night! The atmosphere was lively and fun with the band called the Celtic Tigers playing. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. My friends are vegetarian and tried the “Lost Shepherds Pie” made with veggies and meat alternative, and the vegan bangers and mash with vegan mash and vegan gravy. Both were wonderful and exceeded everyone’s expectations. The unique Maui cocktails were great, and we finished off with a lava cake- gluten free chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. I can recommend this wonderful restaurant highly enough. 10/10!
I ordered the house specialty Shepards Pie. It was just ground beef with under cooked carrots, no flavor to the beef it tasted so dry. They must have forgot the sauce and seasoning . Too much potatoes on top made it worse. So sad, they used to have the best Shepherds Pie. Who would think the Fish Tacos my son ordered were great when it used to be the best place to get Irish dishes!
I made reservations a month in advance and called a day ahead to confirm. When I arrived I was told the restaurant was closed because it was bought out for a wedding. They should not. E allowed to be on open table .
The magic show on Tuesday nights is the best!
Great food and service. Amazing entertainment and magic for all ages! Thanks!
Went for the magic show and was dazzled with a well performed act. We had a very sweet and dedicated waitress and overall had a relaxing evening.
Service was terrible- rude, inattentive, lost our credit card and was unapologetic
We drove to Mulligan’s on the Blue from Ka’anapali for dinner the day after the fast moving scary fire in Central Maui had the area evacuated and the road was closed.
There were still some hotspots near the road, but we were grateful to the firefighters for their hard work, enabling us to get to the restaurant. Part of of the draw that night was guest musician Kerri O’Neill who sang her heart out to what turned out to be a small crowd. We were so happy to be at Mulligan’s, a fave of ours on the south side of the island. Our server, Joey, was terrific, offering good advice on numerous items on the menu, swiftly bringing us our orders and always making sure our glasses were full of water and other libations. He is a true asset to Mulligans. We would love to see Kerri again sometime too, and hope that night’s low attendance was perhaps just an aftermath of the fire fears.
We love how. Mulligan’s offers an array of good local talent, which, in addition to some fine food, makes our long drive over worthwhile.
Unfortunately when we had dinner at Mulligans, the fire had just broken out on the island and impacted the ability of dining staff to make it to the restaurant. Although we were immediately greeting by friendly staff, they were also apologetic for the lack of servers and entertainment. We were so excited to eat at Mulligans, there was little chance we were going to abandon our meal there. Even shorthanded, the Mulligans team rallied and helped each other out during our time there. The restaurant and gorgeous view are worth it. We would definitely revisit Muligans and hopefully catch some of their entertainment.
Great place!! Hidden gem
We LOVED our visit to Mulligan's on a Sunday night in July - the acoustic guitarist was a great mix of our favorites from the 80s and Irish tunes as well. Food was amazing. Loved the Corned Beef & Cabbage and the Fish & Chips! Not too crowded though I would have been OK with a bigger crowd too. Walkable from many of the Wailea resorts.
Celebrating our last night on Maui and our 28th anniversary. Wanted a location with some jazz. They had it. Wanted a great value for Happy Hour. They had that too! Fish and Chips were awesome.
