Mulino's Ratings and Reviews
WE WENT FOR RESTAURANT WEEK. Thank You Mulino's...you are winning Us Over.We were celebrating a birthday; but we've decided we can't wait that long to just see you for special occasions. You are wonderful.
Your ambiance is special, your staff so warm and welcoming. Your food insists you return.
We ALWAYS enjoy Mulino's. It is a very special restaurant. We were so pleased to see they participated in HVRW. What a wonderful menu for our 'date night'. Started off with cocktails. Fresh warm bread was brought to the table. We accepted an offer of cheese and a slice of hard sausage. We ordered from the HVRW menu. My wife had Cesar Salad and I had coconut shrimp with a spicy dipping sauce. They have a great wine list and we ordered an Italian white with dinner. My wife had the white fish and I decided on chicken. Each was presented and prepared excellent. We ended with sorbet and Italian cheesecake. Service could not be better. They also had live Jazz music. PERFECT! THANK YOU! Don't miss this restaurant!!
The food was excellent. Went for restaurant week lunch. We waited one hour four our appetizers and only after asking 3 staff did we finally get the appetizer. Struggled again to get served the meal and asked at that time to get the check and the desserts to go.
A fantastic anniversary celebration! I think dining here may have saved my marriage! Just kidding. The service staff was extremely attentive. The menu consisted of the usual Northern Italian fare. I settled for swordfish special which was devine and my wife had Chicken Marsala. Additionally, we both split a Caesar salad. Leave room for desert - the cheesecake was awesome!!
It was Restaurant Week in Westchester County, and my wife and I had never eaten at Mulino's even though it was near our apartment, so we decided to give it a try. It was a Monday night, and the restaurant was not crowded. From our vantage point there were only five tables occupied including our's. When we were first seated, our waiter took our drink order and quickly returned with my drink. Once we ordered off the prix fixe Restaurant Week menu, the service, although polite, went downhill. The table next to us was seated after we were, but their order was taken first and they were served much faster than we were. Their orders were ala carte. In fact, they finished with their dessert and left before were ever got our dessert.
The food was good but not great. The restaurant was beautiful and romantic; however, we are not sure we would return. The restaurant is large, and there was enough staff; just the service was not would we expected for a restaurant of this caliber.
Really wonderful restaurant with great service. The food is on par with some of the best Italian restaurants in the NYC area and the service is a bit better. The prices follow great meals in the city but you won’t complain once your start eating. Very nicely done. Bravo
I hadn't been to Mulino's in 14 years, but was a regular before moving out of the area. It was a place I took business clients as well as friends. I was a little nervous about taking friends there not knowing if things had changed. You can only imagine my delight when I found that the service was still impeccable, the food excellent, and the ambiance had only improved. My friends, who had heard of Mulino's but have never been, plan on returning. So do I.
Food was alright, nothing spectacular but still pricey for what was served.
The big issue with this place is that there are only two people who seem able to take guests orders. There are plenty of busboys and wait staff but if you ask them for anything they have to go to the two people responsible.
The whole process takes a loooong time.
Get seated, wait.
Someone brings free mini starter, wait.
Ask for menus, wait.
Get menus, wait.
Finally give order, wait.
We had a movie to catch and thought 1 hour 45mins was enough time for a meal......think again!
Had to skip out without dessert or coffee which was a shame.
We will NEVER go back. We had issues with Mulinos a year ago, but decided to give it another try. Big mistake! Drinks and bread was fine. We ordered dinner and waited an hour, at which point one of us ask the waiter if we had been forgotten.
Dinner came - lamb chops luke warm and in some kind of sauce, which gave it a potted fell. Not good at all. We shared a dessert - the best part of the meal, but then it took forever to get the check, pay it and get out. Couldn't have been soon enough. We were s happy to get out!
Beautiful dining room. "Old world" restaurant.
Grand piano on bar area playing Frank Sinatra standards. Standard menu is fairly priced with lots to choose from. Specials tend to be pricy. Wine list
Is fairly priced with well chosen selections. There are wines not on the wine list; ask your captain.
Mulino's is where you want to go when you feel like
Getting dressed and dining.
I have always loved this restaurant in the past. My waiter was the rudest person ever. The meal was 2 1/2 hours long and we never even got to sing happy birthday to my husband because if the waiters response of "i cancelled it! You wanted the check" There was no one to speak to that night so I just left very disappointed.
Mulino's never disappoints. The seafood is of the highest quality and the freshest anywhere. My friend had an extraordinary steak. Pasta exquisite. Order the shrimp cockatiel . . . just for the fun of the presentation! Terrific experience from start to finish.
The restaurant was very beautiful, the service was impeccable. The Food was outstanding. I really enjoyed the evening. Had a wonderful glass of wine paired with the Veal special which was outstanding. I would highly recommend the restaurant if your looking for good Italian food coupled with a beautiful setting. The wait staff was really nice and unobtrusive.
We go here once or twice a year, e.g. anniversary, etc. They have valet parking, making it very convenient. Food is mostly Italian, usually with some excellent specials. We like to "split things", so we split a Caesar and then split a pasta for appetizer, then went our separate ways on main courses. You have to have the Crème Brulee for desert. Wine list is adequate with prices from the $30+ to several hundred. You can get a limited selection by the glass as well.
Only negative this time was early on service. We were next to a table of 10-12 people who seemed to know the staff/owner and waiters hovered over them and left us hanging for about 15 minutes.
