So way louder and busier than expected for a speakeasy. Nothing wrong, per se, just not what we had in mind at all. Also, couldn’t find any staff to tell that we were leaving.
Fantastic and attentive bartenders, A+ experience
Terrific and unusual cocktail selections and great outdoor experience in the garden. We were the first customers of the day and spent a great few hours enjoying Mulberry Project.
Incredible place. The backyard is amazing
Over priced. Poor service.
The outdoor patio is great, and the music selection is in point. When we went, however, we had to wait one hour for cocktails. They were very good, but receiving and finishing our apps before drinks is a marker of poorly managed service--though the waiter himself was great. Go for the music and cocktails--food was not phenomenal. We ordered truffle fries that had no trace of truffle and that we were told came frozen :/ . I can see it being a great spot for a late late night drink.
Aside from that it's a little too loud this place is pretty much perfect. 💯😎
Amazing drinks!! Garden in back is super cute
Music was great but too loud. Couldn't have a conversation in there.
Great service! Kind people & Great drinks :) Cozy and fun spot with good food! Charming outdoor patio w hot French servers.
Great cocktails, good ambiance, OK service. Cool backyard area and indoor area as well.
Why have an option for reservations if A) you don't honor the reservation and B) you are closed for a private event. We ended up at a lovely restaurant up the street instead.
Really cool spot and awesome vibes. Drinks were great. However it was really packed and smaller than I thought. I had a reservation but there was no one there to tell me where to go and the food/drinks took a long time. Plan to chill and be in no rush, just enjoy!
Cool speakeasy to meet up with friends. Pitcher cocktails were expensive but delicious.
The ambiance was excellent both inside and outside. However, the food was subpar and while I went for drinks, several drinks were "unavailable," which was confusing considering it's known for a speakeasy with "great drinks." I would go if you don't intend to eat and grab slightly pricey drinks from a limited menu.
Made a reservation and received a confirmation email as well. Showed up on time and the door was locked. No one answered the phone, no door man, nothing. It was a shame as the night we had planned was built around this place as we had heard good things. Either Opentable screwed up or Mulberry Project did with incorrect times. Shame.
We arrived for our reservation and the place was CLOSED. No notification, nothing.
Too cold, there was no local street art as stated in their website. The cocktails were original and tasty.
Went on a recommendation from a local , did not dissapoint great handcrafted cocktails and ambience. Did not try the food.
So they didn't have food when we went, but the drinks were outstanding. Whether we ordered from the menu or grabbed a bespoke coctail, they were absolutely worth it!
Great, the bartenders were very personable and friendly! The drinks were refined, yet boozy. Ambiance was great,
Love that the place is kinda small.
great spot for drinks - tailored to each person's taste. Nice atmosphere - upbeat and reliable.
I have always loved this place ae I nd sat outside on the patio for drinks and food with friends. I booked a reservation for dinner during the week and requested a seat outside. When I arrived, they told me nothing was available outside and it would be 45 minutes. One and a half hours later, I asked again if there was a seat available and the host was rude and never came back to us - we left.
Nice colors outside and cool and dark inside.
They were totally disrespectful and unprofessional. They had us wait for an hour after our reservation and after we sat down they told us their kitchen wasnt open
When we complained to the manager he didnt even say he was sorry
We went here with great expectations of having fun and hanging out with friends over dinner and cocktails. We had two waiters which I thought was strange. They told us their kitchen was closed so we had to order from the restaurant next door. One waiter took our order and told us the food would take 40 min to arrive. The food came and all was fine except on persons dish didn't arrive; we asks one waiter if it was coming and they said it was on the way. Ten min later we asked the other waiter and they said that it was never ordered but he would rush it through. Another ten min pass and I ask again if the order got placed and the waiter said that the Italian restaurant didn't have the spaghetti and meatballs my friend had ordered. At this point we were so frustrated. Finally spoke w the manager and he appologized for the mix up. Brought the spaghetti and meatballs and some shots for the rest of us. Overall a stressful experience. Not going back.
Oh my gosh! I can't say enough good things about Mulberry Project! I came here with 5 of my girlfriends last week and we had the best time. It's a speakeasy, so we loved the secrecy of it! There is a gorgeous patio garden out back that looks like you aren't in NYC anymore. We had custom cocktails, and then we got a pitcher of a cocktail named Jenna Jameson! Our bartender Jose was so attentive and helpful. Overall, great music, good drinks, good vibes, awesome space. If you haven't been to this bar, get there now!
Fantastic drinks in an awesome garden. Our server was super informative and friendly. Would definitely return!
I'm not sure why I was able to make a reservation for 1pm at Mulberry Project because I arrived with a group who was out of town on vacation and it wasn't even open. The one person who was there was very rude and didn't even give any explanation either..
Unpleasant staff. Terrible food. First and last visit.
We left after sitting for 20 minutes with ZERO service, even after having asked twice from the server (who also turned out to be the manager - he managed to nod towards us but didn't actually speak when we attempted to ask for drinks, then walked away) for menus (both food and drink). We were all super excited to try it out and very disappointed that nobody seemed to care we were there to dine and drink. Not hard to make a vodka soda! Wouldn't have even needed a drink menu. Worst part is my company works with Mulberry Project and after the poor service I received, I would never send my clients there.
Drinks were good cool speakeasy w an outdoor area. Calamari and steak were great crispy chicken sandwich not as good as expected.
This is a real project, let's say an experience! The food is deli jeu but the service could be improved! Very warm in summer so be prepared!
Made a reservation through Open Table and it was not honored by the staff. They said oh there's a wait for a table even if you made a reservation, very disappointed, it renders using open table for this place pointless
We had awful service! The food and drinks were good, but for the prices, the service was truly horrible.
They would not seat my party after making a reservation days in advance .
Not happy at all with Mulberry Project. First they basically discriminated against my friends and me. Then they created issues for any additional friends who came in. All this during a time when the bar was not even packed. We eventually left the outdoor space and moved indoors because of some of this. Pitchers of drinks we ordered took 45 min to come. Also, was super hot even indoors- seemed like the air conditioning was barely working. Very rude service from the host/servers outside except for the bartender (outside) who graciously at least gave us a table for a little while. PS- I realize that you might not know someone is hearing impaired in a group situation- but take the time to find out when the person clearly isn't understanding what you are saying! Will not ever recommend this place again- even though i absolutely love the drinks here (the bar-tenders definitely do a great job).
Poor music choice and way too loud. Even in the outdoor patio where it has a very nice look, choice of extremely loud rock music ruined it
They did not honor our reservation. Very disappointing. We went elsewhere.
The main server/host was extremely rude and not at all attentive. Major attitude problem
