Went here with my mother for lunch, ordered the afternoon tea for two. We both had a wonderful time--food was tasty, very nice presentation, restaurant had quiet, sunny atmosphere. Would definitely recommend, especially for a mother-daughter outing.

My adult daughter and I were looking for somewhere to have tea during the week between Christmas and New Year. We were delighted to discover Mulberry House! Sit down tea is in the cozy dining room on the 2nd floor (make a reservation to avoid disappointment as it is quite small). The price was very reasonable: less than $40 for 2 people.

We particularly liked the fact that all sandwiches were made to order and that you got to select your sandwiches, sweets and flavor of scones from a list of choices. Being British, I really enjoy simple, classic flavors and I had that option (so often I get stuck with some trendy weird scone or sickly sweet pastry). You also got to start with a bowl of soup or a salade (the potato soup was excellent). The only change I would make is to get proper jam instead of the strawberry jelly that they were serving. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable outing. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant neighborhood eatery. Great for afternoon tea and lunch. There's dinner and brunch, too, but I haven't been yet. The owner, Jenna, works really hard and us friendly, knowledgeable, and very nice.

Pleasant afternoon tea. However, our server was new and forgot one drink and the jam and cream and did not do the bill correctly. All was well in the end. The food was very good and atmosphere too. Just wish we could have gone for tea on Mother's Day, not the Friday before. They weren't serving then. It's wonderful to have such a gem in Westfield, just unfortunate that it's not always open for tea but has lots of private parties.

Mulberry House is a very sweet tea house in Westfield. Suited more for a late morning/afternoon with girlfriends, the tea pairing offer more than enough food to keep you satisfied.

I always enjoy that I can sample multiple foods from a variety of categories. Highly recommend!

Very nice place to enjoy afternoon tea (as lunch) upstairs. However, if you can't climb the stairs, or on the weekends when there are often private parties upstairs you would be eating on the main floor where the constant door of the kitchen and front door opening and closing are distracting- as well as the noise from the upstairs chairs. That being said, the full tea is very yummy and good value for the $

My husband and I had a lovely brunch/tea at The Mulberry House. The plates/serving sizes for the brunch items are on the small side, but has an upside in that you can try the yummy stuffed French toast or Eggs Benedict and still have room for a wonderful Tea Stand. This is your genuine English tea, with little sandwiches with the crusts cut off, possibly the best scones you've ever had with strawberry jam and clotted cream, and little sweets. Their teas menu has over 20 choices and deserves several minutes' perusal on its own. Reservations are a must, and service is warm and friendly. We will be back.

Came for tea with 2 friends. The main room is very small - not sure if the upstairs is usually open for tea/lunch as there was a party going on. We ordered tea service and the food was very good, as was the tea. Good selection. We'll come again.

This was our third time at Mulberry House for dinner. The food is always amazing. Jenna, the owner, is the most hospitable host. They are always attentive and we brought a few friends who had never been. They were surprised they had not yet heard of this restaurant but I think because it's tucked away and doesn't get as much foot traffic, it's less known. Although I'd like to keep it as my hidden gem, I also hope more people check it out. I really like this place and want it to succeed! Looking forward to trying it for brunch! We went last year for Valentine's Day and it was delicious! I think we will make it a Valentine's Day tradition!

Mulberry House is a hidden gem in Westfield NJ, off the beaten path but once you dine here you will be happy it is! We went for brunch to celebrate the holidays and wow we were not disappointed. Not only was it extremely affordable (a rare find) the food was delicious and everyone left pleasantly full not overstuffed. We made reservations and had no issue. The one thing about the menu i.e. the eggs benedict only brings 1 egg on 1/2 an english muffin, not 2 eggs on 2 english muffins. So I would say its more of a tasting menu but worth it. The tea was delicious, and coffee eh (after i made a comment about the coffee I was told "it is a tea house" so I can't ding them on it). The garlic and parsnip soup was delicious and a recommendation from the waiter. Pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. We look forward to trying their other meals!

After spending the week in New Jersey for business, my husband suprised me with a quiet lunch for the two of us at The Mulberry House before we headed to the airport to catch our flight back to Birmingham, AL. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our lunch. The tea sandwiches were delicious, the scones and tarts were simply yummy! All of the food was so fresh and the portions were generous. We got the Tea Stand For Two and we were full and satisfied. The tea was hot and well steeped. We even took two chocolate chip scones to go! All of the staff was friendly and welcoming and the house was very charming and cozy, perfect on a cold rainy day. We will definitely come back the next time we come to town.

We were looking forward to our 2nd dinner at Mulberry House and the ambience and service were excellent however the food was not. We were very disappointed in almost everything, the crostini was good and the salad was fine but everything else was land and of fairly low quality. We will not be going there again unless we hear that their food has greatly improved.

This is a place that when I discovered it I was looking forward to trying it. It did not disappoint. The food was very good and clearly in the kitchen someone cares about food. we virtually ordered every tapa on the menu. They were all good although a bit small (when I say small I mean smaller than in Spain; a tapa is not supposed to be the size of an appetizer and that part they got right). That said, taste-wise they were all quite good. I recall everyone enjoying the salads and the main courses (scallops, farfalle, and the beef stew special). The desserts all look great, but the Lime Tart Brulee with an exquisite tea is to die for!

Each one had their own special setting and they loved it! Looking forward to returning for an 'annual' tea with the girls.

If you're missing Annabeals Tea Room, (formerly located here) this will disappoint! Ordered tea service for 2. (tea, soup or salad, 3 scones, 3 sandwiches & 3 deserts) Scones were very small (think dinner roll) but tasty, carrot soup was good, but served lukewarm, the 3 tiny desserts were barely big enough to cut in half, and since you only received ONE of each, it was almost a joke (the size was more appropriate for serving 2 of each type!) Service was good, the staff attentive. It was nice to choose the sandwiches and desert, but I think we only received 3 small triangles per sandwich (where was the fourth?) we like the experience, but you need to find the baker from Annabeals - those scones were enormous & amazing!! Don't order the Tea for 2 if you're very hungry!

Wonderful Tea House. It was quiet because there were not many other patrons there at 3:00pm on a Friday. We did see people coming in for dinner as we left. We were able to socialize and not worry about bothering anyone, and we were not pressured to leave. The tea was excellent, good choices. The food was typical for a tea stand, fancy sandwiches, scones, and petite desserts, all very good. Service was also very good, the server did not hover, but was readily available when needed and very accommodating. I am looking forward to going again, and again.

Wonderful little place off the main path in Westfield. Just really charming decor and lovely staff. I'm not a fan of tea which there was plenty of but certainly thought was put into the coffee being served. We ordered brunch for 3 and added on quiche, the duck hash (truly is a must!) and bacon. Way way too much to finish but just couldn't decide. Definitely try this place if you haven't already.

While we have been here for brunch this was our first dinner visit. Welcoming staff, lovely decor, small but appealing menu. I had the trout and it was delicious. Shrimp tempura tapas starter was a hit. Very accommodating of the picky eater in our family. My kids had mentioned how they loved the chocolate chip scones served at brunch--the staff brought them each a scone along with their desserts. Very nice touch. Anyway we would recommend and will definitely go back again for dinner.
