Loved it, service was excellent and the gnocchi delicious!
This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. My boyfriend and I were celebrating an anniversary, which we noted on OpenTable. We were greeted with complimentary glasses of prosecco and the meal was closed out with amaretto gelato, on the house! The service was amazing, the food was divine, and I loved the ambiance. 10/10 for me!
Went for my birthday dinner. It was outstanding. Fantastic food and service. Will definitely go back!
Love dining at Mucca, it always feels special. The creativity of the dishes, the relaxed pace of service and the ambience is lovely.
We ate the prosciutto e burrata, the halibut special and a pasta with mushroom special. Each dish felt it was missing just a tiny little something that Mucca usually offers. It was all super well done, and I just didnt leave with the wow feeling Mucca’s food usually delivers.
Regardless we will definitely be back.
We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. Service was quite delayed in the beginning, with no apologies for the delay. The first two courses (soup, scallops) were good, but average. The pork rib and take on tiramisu dessert were excellent. Pairings complemented the food well and were generous pours.
This was our first time. Everyone was very pleasant and wished us happy anniversary. We had the 5 course menu which was a great way to sample many dishes. The only small issue we had was our scallops were barely warm. Everything else was very good. We will be back to try other items on the menu.
We recently dined here on a whim when it was recommended to us by someone we met in our hotel lobby. The service was excellent, the food delicious (we did the tasting menu), and the ambience just right. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others (actually already have!) and would consider returning when in town again.
Fantastic overall, service was good and so was the food. I must admit 1 total brussel sprout in the dinner entree was a bit meager and the sauces were delicious but slightly burnt tasting. Pasta was wonderful as were the desserts. Not enough vegetables for my liking. I would try again.
The food, wine and service was absolutely outstanding. Highly recommend!
Great would go back Next time I am in Portland. Food was great
My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Mucca. They welcomed us with a champagne aperitif. Then we had the full set meal with wine pairings. The food and wine were incredible. At the end they brought us a wonderful anniversary dessert. Romantic, fun, and delicious. Not something we normally can afford to do, but for this special occasion it was perfect.
Tasty and worth it.
Our first time at Mucca. Great food and service. We had a 5 course meal, which was excellent. The price was a bit high, but was worth it for the special occasion. The music might have been a bit loud.
The restaurant was fantastic, the service was amazing, the food was delectable and the ambiance was beautiful. Perfect location in Portland as well. We both really loved the experience. Brava!
Can not recommend this restaurant enough! Food, service, environment, this place has it all.
Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere
We have been in quite a few times and it is always excellent. On our last visit we brought a customer and they really enjoyed it.
There is nothing better, in my opinion, than sitting at the counter having a front-row seat to the goings-on in the kitchen. We were met with a glass of cava for our anniversary, and our evening continued in the same lovely way. Simone Savaiano, Chef/Owner, was warm and welcoming, and though the restaurant was busy, he made time to chat with us about his family, (showed photos of his new baby), and told us about his ideas for a pizza place here in Portland. Dessert plate even had "happy anniversary" written on it - and the complimentary lemoncello rounded off the delightful dinner. It was our 2nd anniversary dinner there and we already put the date in our book for 2020! Grazie Mile!
5 course tasting plus wine. All good
Service was wonderful.
Recipes were unique with wonderful presentation.
Halibut was overcooked.
The food, the service, the atmosphere bring us back every time!
We love and enjoy their “tasting” menu.
The chef uses seasonal offerings and local ingredients to bring the dishes to their 5 star ratings.
We loved our dinner from start to finish and the service was great. We have been on a road trip for over a month now, and rate this as one of the top two dinners we have had. We sat at the counter and had a first hand look at the kitchen staff... a well-oiled machine. We would have dinner here again in a heart beat. If only we lived in Portland. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Top quality food and service made for an excellent dining experience. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was creative but also had substance. This was our first visit and we were very please with the whole evening.
This is our favorite restaurant in Portland. We go for our anniversary and a few other times each year. Everything about this restaurant is excellent.
Lovely dinner. Cocktails very good. Waiter attentive although noise level made hearing details on specials difficult .
If I book a table at 8pm, and you accept my reservation, then it means I want a table at 8pm. What I do not want is the following;
1. No table at 8pm and a 30 minute wait for a table at 8.30pm
2. In that time, to see 2 diners shown to a table for 2 whilst we were still waiting
3. No apology from the manager whatsoever
Terrible service. Great food by the way
Food was delicious and service was prompt but not pushy, waiter sent (sommelier?) to our table to recommend a wine pairing with our meals which were fantastic all in all a wonderful experience definitely will return!
Truly authentic Italian cuisine - for a special foodie evening!
Wonderful dinner and service! Husband remarked that it was the best negroni he ever had! Will recommend!
If you have ever been to Italy and swooned at the gorgeous food served there that’s all going to come flooding back to you when you eat at Mucca Osteria. This restaurant ordinarily needs a little run up time to get a reservation but my guest wanted to eat at 5 pm on a Friday evening. I was able to get a table fairly last minute. We started with a beautiful bottle of champagne, along with burrata and prosciutto appetiser and a beautiful chilled corn soup. We had a lovely Barolo with our entree of shrimp and peas with pesto on handmade pasta as well as a gorgeous duck ragù. Dessert was a light but full flavoured small tiramisu. Just enough sweet to satisfy. The space is warm and welcoming but still fits the proper restaurant with linen tablecloths appearance. It was so good, I brought a friend there two days later for a thank you dinner.
What a wonderful experience we had. I took my wife there for her birthday and we had the summer tasting menu, which I believe was about 5 courses. The duck ragu and the short ribs were out of this world. We each had a Morrison Manhattan and a glass of Prosecco. We would have done the wine pairing but we were heading to a concert after dinner and didn’t want to be tired. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. The experience couldn’t have been better!
Outstanding! We have been here at least 20 times and it is typically great. Tonight they were even more on point and every dish was amazing and had a very high end presentation. Can’t be beat for solid Italian cuisine. Great for special occasions as well.
Both the food and the service were excellent. The chilled corn soup was to die for. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The king salmon was as good as anything I’ve had in my hometown of Seattle. I had an espresso affogato for dessert, which I’d never had before. Perfect blend of sweet and bitter, hot and cold. I’ll eat there agin and highly recommend.
Overall decent experience. Nothing was bad but then nothing was exceptional either. Not for special occasions.
We were extremely impressed with the service and high quality food. The outdoor tables were a great option on a pleasant late summer's Saturday eve: the foot traffic and the light rail rolling by added to the charm. Impressive wine list and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing service and food!
So much of the menu was written in Italian that I had no idea what to order. Our waiter had such a thick accent and it was so loud that asking questions about the menu was sort of pointless. The food was just ok. The whole experience was just ok.
Best - most like Italy - restaurant in the city. Food was impeccable, wait staff attentive, and a lovely reminder of a visit to Italy we had recently.
