Brought my husband here as a surprise and we loved it! Fast service with lovely food. Thank you!
Such an amazing meal with friends! We chose the 6 course dinner option, and loved every bite. The servers called us by name, and were extremely professional and friendly. We save this restaurant for special occasions, and know that it will always be consistently delicious!
The braised pork belly is a must! Fast and friendly service. Will be back again.
Outstanding Italian, we will be back
Excellent food and service. The chef goes overboard to make sure diners are happy. We loved this place.
Simply one of the best dining experiences I've had in Portland. I've been to Italy and their food tastes just like dining in Rome!
It was very nice. Very safety conscious. Good service.
Fantastic! The wait staff the wine recommendation and of course the food - - out of the ballpark!
Excellent food, wine and service. We especially enjoyed the Prosecco by the glass (one of the best Prosecco’s we’ve had) and the Prosciutto with Burrata was amazing!
AMAZING food and service. Lovely experience. Highly recommend the scallops, prosciutto, tortelli, and pork belly! Great atmosphere!
Our dinner included champagne, delightful fresh salads, wonderful entrées and a tiramisu dessert to die for. The restaurant was impeccably clean and nicely decorated and the staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. We gwould return again.
Great Great Great!
A wonderful dining experience thanks to the wonderful staff - server, chef and kitchen staff.
Towards the end of the meal, the waiter asked to table next to us that they needed their table. They didn't understandbecause of language barrier. He then told us someone needed our table becasue their reservation was at 7:00 despite our reservation was at 6:00. We asked why we were being rushed and were told it was the fault of the table next to us. I know times are difficult but he basically lied to us to rush us out the door. We have dined here in the past and will still likely dine here in the future, but we feel that it was inappropriate to rush out meal.
We had a wonderful meal - cocktails, wine, caprese salad, tortelli and fruti di mare. The dessert was just as good. Really appreciated the adherence to COVID precautions, and the excellent customer service. This was our first time and definitely will be coming back!
This was so much better than we could have imagined. Came for our anniversary dinner, it was quiet, classy, the wait staff was extremely attentive and the food was out of this world. So many rich flavors and it melted like butter in our mouths. I have recommended this place to everyone! Perfect 10!
We were visiting from San Francisco & LA and really enjoyed our dinner at Mucca Osteria. Everything from the cozy space, to the food, to the service was impeccable. Each of us (five in our group) tried a pasta, plus we ordered three appetizers to start, and a nice bottle of Zin. Our server, Miguel, was knowledgable and knew what to recommend. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!
We ate outside and had a great experience at Mucca! Justin was our waiter and was very friendly and efficient. The food was superb and everything was done to perfection. We had a great evening and highly recommend Mucca. We'll def be back!
Absolutely loved this place! Came here for our 1-year anniversary and were greeted with some prosecco and such friendly staff. The food was so delicious and our waiter was incredibly helpful on his recommendations. The burrata appetizer, gnocchi and halibut were highlights, as well as the scallops. Will definitely be back
We had a good time here for a date night. It was the first time we’ve been out to eat post-Covid. The staff was great and the restaurant was taking safety precautions seriously.
The food was good. Their gnocchi was wonderful and my wife enjoyed her venison ragu. I had a pork belly dish. This wasn’t good at all. The pork was very under seasoned and the polenta was uneatable. Overall we enjoyed our experience. We’ll more than likely go back foe the gnocchi.
I had the Tortelli funghi which is the best dish on the menu and is amazing! He had the porkbelly served on polenta and loved it. Dined outside. Great wine collection and lovely service.
Amazing food, amazing service! Perfect for our anniversary! Very attentive and accommodating.
The restaurant is very charming, clean, and a great setting for a more intimate dinner with someone special. We reserved a table and we arrived at the time we made reservations and were promptly taken to our table.
The service is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable about the food and how the chef cooks. It was our first time here and we split our dishes. They went and portioned each dish separately for us and made it feel special.
Presentation of the food was beautiful. The plates were clean and neat. Each item was placed purposefully.
The only thing that reduces the stars was there was due to one overarching theme... a lack of balance.
We started with the scallop appetizer. The dish, like all others, arrived very well presented. The scallops were cooked perfectly. And a scallop can be difficult not to over cook. The only thing that caused it to not be great was the chutney on top was a tad too sweet that it overpowered the delicate scallop. The dish could of used something to brighten it. A little sour or acid would of taken it to the next level.
First of the main dishes was the ravioli pasta special. The first bite sent me into heaven. The pasta was cooked perfectly and algae the right amount of “chew”. The beef filling was good and the sauce amazing. After the third bite, I was glad we split it. The dish was too rich. I couldn’t of eaten a whole portion. It really could of used some acidity to brighten the dish and and make it more balanced.
The next dish was the halibut. The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The only problem with the dish is it was bland. Again, it could of used some acidity and some salt. There wasn’t any flavor and it was disappointing after the pasta dish which was jam packed full of flavor.
For desert we had panna cotta. The dish was light and creamy and a good taste of vanilla. I think next time I will try a different desert. The panna cotta was good, just not great.
In all we will try again.
Another incredible meal and experience at Mucca. The Scallops were incredible, the buratta cheese for the caprese was very fresh and the pasta everything I wanted it to be.
Never disappoints! Best Italian in the city! Amazing friendly staff always!
This is year three of celebrating our anniversary at Mucca. We keep going back because the food and service are outstanding. They were very COVID-conscious too and that made us feel more comfortable. See you all next year when we plan on sitting at the chef’s counter!
Beautiful quaint restaurant with a soft romantic atmosphere. Service was impeccable and everyone adhered to Covid protocol. I had the Spaghettoni and my husband had the Beef Ravioli. Both were authentic and delicious. My husbands dish was a bit too al dente, the pasta was definitely a bit tough. However it wasn’t bad at all, and he finished his plate. that was our one very minor complaint.
We were given Tiramisu to finish, complimentary. Very yummy! Overall a lovely meal!
Great wine selection including a good variety of splits.
My girlfriend and I love to get multiple items and split them as we go. The hostess anticipated this and split each course for us. The meals were perfectly plated and tasted as good as they looked. In addition, the wine selection was vast and the hostess chose a wine spot-on for our taste and price-point. I highly recommend anyone visiting the city or looking for a special night to book a reservation.
Celebrating a good week
Portland's best "slow" Italian food! Every dish we had was excellent: Scallops which are worth the hefty price. Unforgettably rich Mushroom Tortelli. Creamy Panna cotta. Memorable crusty bread. The outdoor dining is somewhat cramped by the sidewalk, so we chose to eat indoors with social distancing.
Even with a slightly reduced menu, everything was wonderful. The halibut was absolutely to die for!
Waiter from Texas was dope
Enjoyed dinner here, although fish was overcooked and not totally fresh. Pasta undercooked. Otherwise was fine
The appetizers were very good, although arguably somewhat under-seasoned where appropriate. And the location was convenient.
However, the ambiance left quite a lot to be desired.
Entrees were OK; The steak was nothing noteworthy and lacked cohesion with the rest of the plate. The Halibut was better, but still missing some magic.
The menu presentation was underwhelming, and the wine list was unassailably difficult to navigate (only available via their website.)
I'd try somewhere else before returning to this restaurant.
OMG it was so nice to eat out again in an elegant restaurant with exceedingly helpful staff !
Great food, friendly service, nice ambience, and good portions for price point. Would definitely return.
excellent deep wine list, great service, outdoor dining safe and comfortable, very European with light rail going by. Would never miss the scallops. Pasta and deserts are great.
Sat outside...Max train going by disturbs the ambiance...enjoyed our meals, but menu and wine list were more limited given current restrictions
