Terrific all the way around.
Always very good and real Italian food .
Mucca Osteria never disappoints! Great food, wine, and service.
I have eaten at Mucca several times during the past three years and their food and service is consistently outstanding. I highly recommend Mucca for family and business dining.
Great food. Had the 6 course meal with my brother and his wife. Great food and we wee stuffed. Had a few too many glasses of wine which really blew the bill up!
The atmosphere, food, wine and service are always incredibly consistent and delightful at Mucca! This is our favorite date (and special occasion) spot. Really some of the best Italian we've had in the States, especially Portland!
This restaurant has the best food and the best service in Portland. We’ve been here 8 times and have never been disappointed. Rather then one waiter and an occasional bus person to help you will be attended to by a team of the most experienced staff you have ever encountered. Incredible dining and impeccable service and a great value as well.
Excellent all around!
I had a pleasant evening with a friend who I hadn't seen in 2 years. She speaks fluent Italian and loves Italy and this was the closest I could get her to that experience. The food was just wonderful. The flavors were vibrant and interesting and the portions just right. The staff was attentive without hovering and all of our needs were met promptly.
Excellent tasting menu. Nicely paced after a slightly slow start; perfect quantities; nice presentation; good wine pairings (and the cocktail while we waited for the first course was a nice touch). The only downside was that the kitchen wanted to serve us both the same dishes for the set menu - most other fine dining restaurants are willing to modify a few individual dishes. Nonetheless, we'd happily go back. (In fact, this was a return visit after a year, and the chef/owner remembered talking to us!)
Lovely small intimate dining experience. Our waiter was very attentive w/o hovering and very accommodating in helping me find a wine perfect for the evening! Food was beautifully presented, flavors mixing for delicious experience. Highly recommend. Only drawback was how loud the people were at table next to us. It is a small space. But it didn’t keep us from thoroughly enjoying the dining experience. Take your time for this evening at Mucca Osteria!
Eat here all the time. One of my favorites! Great service and unbelievable flavors.
Service is next to none.
Best dining experience in years. Our server Nicholas was phenomenal. This is my new favorite restaurant.
Mucca Osteria is still my favorite restaurant after 7 years. Simone is my top chef in Portland! If you have not been here, please taste this incredible amazing authentic Italian cuisine. I have not been for a few months and Simone has even bumped up his quality and presentation even more so ever! Wow, how can it be better than last time I was here? Fantastic Fresh & Phenomenal!
Dinner and service was excellent as usual. The required full credit card info when making a reservation with Open Table is not acceptable and we will not return. This is not done lightly as we have had dinner there three times this year so far and have always enjoyed and recommended Mucca Osteria to our family and friends.
We loved everything.
Service was outstanding that was only out done by the food. Can’t wait to go back!
Great Food, super service, would go back on my next trip to Portland
Outstanding tasting menu. The chef and staff were wonderful. Fantastic wine
Excelente Italian restaurant. Service is great. Delicious food.
We were looking for a restaurant that would be new to us, and close to our hotel.
The reviews we read were excellent. Our reservations were for "later", and the restaurant was very obliging when we wanted to arrive "earlier". Our waiter was excellent, knowledgeable, helpful, etc. Cocktails were excellent. Prosciutto e Burrata was excellent, and almost a meal in itself. I had a salad of wilted and brown-edged lettuce. We pointed this out to our server and he said he'd notify the chef. My pasta with seafood (Taglietelle alla Bottarga) was very good. The portion was just right. My wife's Insalata di Stagione was uninspiring. The Tortelli ai Funghi was good. Deserts were large and sweet. We took half home. All in all I think this is a very good restaurant that wasn't quite to our taste. The wine selection was fairly broad and reasonably priced. I was very disappointed that we were charged for the salad of wilted and brown lettuce.
This has been one of Portland’s hidden gems, which finally seems to be receiving the attention it truly deserves.
Our third time here. We did the tasting menu- never disappointed.
This was out 2nd time eating at Mucca. We took friends who had not eaten there before. All of us enjoyed the food and wine. It was excellent. The waiter explained in detail about the food and wine. They kindly split our entrees and we were able to try each others dishes. Highly recommend. We will return the next time we're in Portland.
We have dined at Mucca three times, driving from Seattle just for dinner. We've never been disappointed! One of us had the pasta with Oregon truffles, which was truly memorable. The other dish was papadella with wild boar, which was also excellent. This is fine dining, Italian style, at its best.
Great 6 course tasting menu for a birthday dinner.
The pasta was spectacular. I had the mushroom pancetta special with white truffle. My wife had the Alaskan halibut. I also thought the chef had a pretty amazing chefs knife.
We enjoyed celebrating my husband’s birthday. Our favorite restaurant in all of Portland. Thank you very much for your continued service and wonderful, inventive dishes. We will return.
The food was very good, everything well prepared, and also very expensive. I might go back for a business dinner, if some organization was paying the bill. Example, scallop appetizer was $18 for 2 scallops. We thought about doing the multi-course dinner, but at $75/person, it was too steep. They sat us while we waited for the other couple, and they gave us water, but it was 30 minutes until they found us and offered to take our order for wine/beer. I asked about the 2 lowest price bottles of Chianti, and they brought a bottle to the table that was "better, for only a few dollars more." It turned out to be $6-9 more than than the choices we started with. Everything was well prepared, delicious, but for the high price and problems with service, I would consider other options.
This is among the best meals of my life. The mushroom Tortellini had a sauce that makes my mouth water now just thinking about it. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. The atmosphere is nothing super special, but we enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare meals. The food, though. Wow! If you are all about taste, this is your place.
Amazing as always. The BEST Italian in Portland and the absolute best service in town.
Love, love Mucca!
If you are ever in Portland, this is a must. We spent five days in Portland...had great food and fun...but Mucca was the highlight. Great service, and an original menu with a great variety. The food and display were the tops in the City. Do not miss this one.
Ideal experience. Terrific server, Nicholas,well- chosen wines by the glass, appetizers really a highlight. All food delicious, limited menu with excellent choices.
We went looking for a fine dining experience. The service was great but the food was mediocre. We had scallops that were over seasoned, fresh pasta that was undercooked, and duck that was overcooked. Overall pretty disappointing especially for the price.
Amazing service! Amazing food!!! Perfect coursing, food was delectable and you could taste the passion behind it. We were greeted with bubbles for the celebration. One of the most heart warming meals we have had a really long time. We really appreciate you and our hearts are full of love. We can’t wait to come back to Portland and enjoy you!
We went to Mucca Osteria for my wife's birthday. This place is great for anniversaries. We really liked their special fish entree.
We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday. The service was excellent and recommendations were spot on. The meal was delicious. We would definitely come here again.
I can't say enough great things about this dining experience. Truly the best I've had in Portland. Chose this place based on their reputation as an Italian fine dining establishment for a special occasion. I made reservations well in advance and noted it was for a birthday. Our reservation was at 6pm and we were promptly seated. We decided on the 9-course chef menu with wine pairings and I was more than blown away by every course. Fresh, current, unique, thoughtful, sensual. Our evening was four hours of culinary BLISS - not because service was slow, but because we had NINE courses and wine, and bonus pours, and cocktails, and very thoughtful conversation with the sommelier who knew every wine like he wrote the book. I hope you enjoy the photos - wish I could have uploaded more. Definitely place Mucca Osteria at the top of your summer to-do-dining list. You will not be disappointed.
Lovely evening to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Small, intimate candlelit dining experience with the nicest people! Food was delicious and presented beautifully! Thank you, Mecca! We will be back.
