MT's Local Kitchen & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
Hadn't been to MT's for a few years and found new setup in dining room. It was brighter, livelier and more open, but not as intimate as I'd remembered. We found two spots at the end of the bar and couldn't have ordered a better evening. The service was outstanding, food incredible and ambiance was the intimacy that I'd expected in the dining room. Will not be waiting years to go back this time!
We were visiting from out of town and we were looking for a cozy place to have dinner on a rainy night. We decided to try MT's and they did not disappoint. The service was very attentive, the Haddock Chowder was hardy and delicious and our entrees were spot on. I had the Chicken Snitzel and my husband enjoyed his Haddock.
If ever we are back in the Nashua area we will definetly return.
We were in the smallest room, 5 small tables and one large grouping table of 8-10 people, there were way too many tables/people in that room. It was very loud and we had to speak very loudly to each other to hear anything. This restaurant should not cram this many people into a small venue. People want to go out to dinner, relax, have a good meal and not have to yell across the table to friends. Just be aware of the noise level if you are seated in the small room to the right.
I always enjoy MT's. The food is fresh, never processed. The taste is amazing because the ingredients are fresh and are amazingly put together by the chefs.
It's my go-to place to eat. The interior design is comforting and warm. I love going there with my friends and family.
We had a short wait for our reservation. The service was excellent. Our waiter engaged us in conversation and was pleasant. The cocktails were excellent and served to our liking. The wine list was good but it would be nice to have some more oaked Chardonnays. The special swordfish dish was excellent. The lobster risotto was good but a little bland. The lobster was cooked perfectly and was deliciously sweet. The risotto could have been creamier. The bowl it was served in was awkward as it was deep which made cutting the large strips of lobster tail difficult. The Almond Joy cake was outstanding.
Way too crowded. Hostess did not read reservation notes prior to our arrival. We were given horrible table while I overheard the couple who came in without a reservation were given choice seating. I’m not sure what the point of a reservation is if you are going to be squeezed in/sat at a table next to the bathrooms. Table was very oddly situated. The staff was noticeably having a hard time moving between our table and the other “normal” tables in the area.
Our waiter, I believe his name was Josh (however on our receipt it said Joe N.) was friendly, knowledgeable and witty. He guided us through the menu and gave us great advice on the cocktails. He was attentive throughout the entire time we were eating without us feeling like we were being rushed.
The food was amazing ! For an appetizer we shared the calamari and the sweet and salty chicken wings. To our pleasant surprise the calamari came with an accompaniment of chorizo sauce and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. For entrees, I had the lobster risotto and my partner had the steak frittes. I wish I could've ate both entrees for myself! There was no skimping on the lobster when it came to the risotto. The risotto was bursting with flavor and the lobster was fresh! The steak frittes were the ultimate comfort food. The filet was cooked to perfection! Flavorful, tender and juicy, on top of a generous bed of potato wedges (crispy on the outside and soft/fluffy on the inside) and creamed spinach, tied together by a delectable hollandaise sauce. For cocktails we each had blackberry whiskey mules and they were creative and satisfying.
Last but surely not least, the homemade honey oat bread with whipped butter was to die for! Take extra home with you if you can :)
We will surely be back again!
Excellent food. The scallop appetizer was awesome. The carmelized onion, chicken bacon pizza was delicious. Rarely get dessert but decided to try the flourless mousse cake which was also fantastic. Only complaint was that it did seem loud inside the restaurant.
Six of us met at MT's for a Sunday night dinner. We all enjoyed our meals. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Two people had a lamb dish that they both loved. One had seafood, another had duck confit, and the final 2 shared 2 different types of pizza. Everyone enjoyed their meals. There was a nice wine selection, and some great beers on tap. It was a very pleasant experience for all. My husband had dined there many times before and have always enjoyed it. I highly recommend it!
We recently had a wonderful time at MT Locals celebrating our anniversary. We enjoyed the champagne for two - one small bottle (what was that name??) with the Popcorn Fois Gras and then onto our crab salad and homemade bread for starters. I would encourage you to try the 3 oz wine samples- very fun.
We then had the Halibut- a special that evening and the Haddock as a main course- the Haddock was amazing! It was great to have the local vegetables all present throughout the meal.
The ambiance was warm, w/ a very attentive, thoughtful waitress.
Small tables around the room made for a relaxed atmosphere to spend the night talking and reminiscing.
Finally the desserts came looking amazing but we were too full and opted for a fun coffee drink instead.
The waitress surprised us with a small dessert of raspberries, chocolate and whipped cream as an anniversary treat to close our time.
What a special evening! Thanks MT Local. Next time we will come back with friends!
This restaurant definitely commands 5 stars. The staff is very friendly, and quite enthusiastic as they explain the many authentic dishes. The decor is definitely unique but not too omnipresent that it distracts from conversations or the actual delicacies bound for your plate. The main meal was very tasty (from the daily menu) but my recommendation to the Chef goes is about the delicious Wild Maine Blueberry Crisp. I added a photo, and I'll tell you, it was scrumptious, a heavenly delight to the palate. I definitely plan on returning to this restaurant, with my friends and colleagues.
Our waitress was great and gave us plenty of time to sit and enjoy our dinner, and she definitely checked in on us several times to see how we were. The only drawback was it was really warm in the restaurant so it was almost uncomfortable while we were there. I know it was a really warm and muggy day, but both my friend and I were fanning ourselves throughout the time we were there. I'm sure it was warm inside due to the temperature outside.
Great portions for the value of the food. Unfortunately is was very busy and the waitstaff was not at its best, however I'm sure they'd be more attentive on a quieter night. The food in general was a bit bland, my husband ordered the filet mignon and I the lobster risotto. The portions as said were abundant, however my risotto was more like rice than risotto. Other than that, fantastic.
