Mt. Fuji, a classic Japanese steakhouse in Westminster, crafts fine cuisine with both grilled meals and raw sushi options, served in its friendly and relaxing restaurant. The crispy creamy cheese wontons with crab and the spicy garlic edamame make exceptional appetizer options. Some of Mt. Fuji's specialty hot entrées include the seafood combination teriyaki with broiled lobster tail, scallops, shrimp and fish, the thin-sliced beef and vegetable sukiyaki with rice noodles and the crispy breaded chicken katsu fillet with tangy tonkatsu sauce, along with an array of mouth-watering hibachi grilled meals, prepared before your eyes.
Mt. Fuji's sushi rolls, nigiri pieces and sliced sashimi are also very popular with diners. Some of the most popular rolls include the Hanada with deep fried spicy tuna, yellowtail, salmon, scallions and special sauce and the green devil roll with seared pepper tuna, asparagus, spicy mayo and jalapenos.
We had a group of 15 family members to celebrate a birthday on 5/13/16. We had a great time! The Chef, the food, and the service were great! We would highly recommend it, thank you again!
I am not recommending it only because it's closing and moving, I actually like it.
It's really great place for prom dinner. They make the night really rememberable! Good for families with young kids too, the cooks are very friendly.
The food was overcooked, too much butter. The flavor was not great. The chef spilled water all over my father's plate and didn't cook him a new meal or offer to compensate anything. It was a very disappointing experience. The host stand was trashed and the hostess was dressed in a hoodie. There was no where to sit and it was crowded. We ordered drinks form the bar and my child was made to move because he was not of age to sit at the bar. We were occupying a very small area. Terrible all the ways around except for our server was ok.
Food and service were great, as usual. They consistently provide good quality service and food.
I have gone to this restaurant for years, even before it was Mt Fuji, It was great then. I have only gone 2x since the ownership changed and the first time was fine, This time, i was very unimpressed. The food wasn't that great, and they raised the prices (which were not posted accurately online). the Sushi, in my opinion was sub par, especially for the price.
If you have never experience Hibachi style Japanese, the concept is great and i suggest experiencing it at least once (But maybe at a different restaurant).
We were seated quickly, the employees did everything to please, and asked questions. They made everything look effortless. The food was hot, and made the way we liked it. The chef cooking had a great sense of humor and was very cordial. Overall, the dining experience was wonderful
My family and I are frequent visitors and because of scheduling we haven't really made weekday trips to the restaurant. I would definitely NOT recommend this as the restaurant service is not as effective or prompt compared to the weekend. The cook as well was less than enthusiastic despite my reservation stating it was my daughters 13th Birthday. Also during dinner service the owner was observed checking in on every table except ours. Kind of disrespectful in my opinion, but whatever.
Usually good but had a terrible experience. Took over an hour for chef to start. We almost left.
Greatly enjoy the food every time we go the kids love the entertainment of watching the food cook right in front of them
