Food was just average
Excellent food and service, a regular stop for us, we will be back
Fun and delicious
Great food and service. Very attractive atmosphere
Been there before and it was good. This night service was bad- never got appetizer. Chef not flexible . One in our party not happy at all.
Fried chicken was overcooked so we sent it back and had to wait another 20 minutes for replacement fried chicken dinner. Brisket and fish n chips were good, as well as sides. We were offered complimentary desserts! The pecan pie, brownie and chocolate cake were good, but the apple crisp had no crisp!
Went there for brunch and was delicious.
Really wanted to like this one. The exterior looks so unique and the interior does, too. The artistic wall along the back of the restaurant is really awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food itself just didn't stack up. Wings came out without any seasoning whatsoever- the waitress did have them redone, though, and they were much better the second time around. The biscuits were so dry and crumbly- when we asked for a fresh, less done one, the waitress told us there were none because these are left from brunch, so 'after sitting under the heat lamp all day, they're usually pretty dry.' So we just sent them back. The rest of the food was just average. The meatloaf meal, the chicken pot pie and the mussels. None of these would we order again. The hibiscus mule, however, was delicious.
Music was amazing, food was absolutely incredible!!
We were there to celebrate a birthday and were so impressed with everything. Definitely going back
I enjoy the dinner the place is nice and the service very attentive
Everything was great other than the a/c was set quite low. We asked our server a couple times to turn it up as we were the only ones dining after awhile - not really an issue.
Ms. Roses is amazing. The service is incredible and the ambience is amazing. It was the perfect place for my sisters birthday. This was our first visit but I guarantee it will not be the last. 😍
Good location and a lot of choices.
We had three people in our party. One ordered a burger with no cheese. The burger came with cheese. Two of us ordered salads with dressing on the side. The dressing was on both salads. One salad was ordered without nuts and cheese the first time it was brought out, it had cheese. The second time, it had nuts. The food took forever to come and appetizer arrived about one minute before the dinners.
I won't be back.
Great food and excellent service!
This was our first time experiencing brunch at Ms. Rose's and we found it overall to be a very pleasant experience and will recommend it to others. Our server was friendly and attentive, neither hovering nor neglecting our table. The food was well prepared and nicely presented and was very enjoyable. I did mention I had never done the Bloody Mary bar before, but the "process" was not explained to me. I figured it out, it's not really complex, but it would have been nice to have had it explained to avoid that awkwardness. The placement of the Bloody Mary bar is right near the hostess stand, so it was a bit awkward trying to create my drink while patrons were standing just a couple feet away and watching intently. I ordered a biscuit and jam, and they were delicious, but I was not told what the jam flavor was when ordering, or when it was delivered, and had to ask/guess. Literally everything else about our experience was wonderful and I will be returning!
Five stars all around for this cool, friendly, delicious place. The chicken biscuit sandwich with pimento cheese was so flipping good! The side of grits completed this breakfast! Our coffee and water were constantly being offered and couldn’t want for nothing!
Food and service always top notch. The best mimosa's in Charleston
This was our first visit! Had family in town needed something close bc of kids. Very impressed-kid friendly and not crazy busy st 8:00 on a Saturday night. Very accommodating, clean and creative ambience! Great options for all! When it cools down you can sit outside!
Good food and nice staff. Pretzels with the butter mustard were great. Fried chicken was good and portions were large.
We came here after recommendation of a local. The shrimp and grits were the best we have ever had. The fish and chips were delicious as well. Great service. Very reasonable price point.
The food and service were all very good. The noise level for a Sunday brunch was headache inducing. I doubt that we will return based on the noise which was louder than Melfi's or California Dreaming.
My husband and love Ms. Roses and wanted to try their restaurant week menu before it ended. We had an amazing meal and our server was fantastic!
Excellent food! Went for restarting week, they had excellent three course meal for $25.
Food was terrible! The manager did comp it, but we didn’t eat at all. They should never have sent out food looking the way it did. Steak over cooked, with grizzle all over & greasy potatoes. Will never go back
The four of us loved our experience at Ms Rose's. We were participating in Restaurant Week and felt the menu was excellent and the food was delicious as well as a good value. We will return
Had great service! Apps were spot on but main courses were average at best. Steak was tough and just not a quality piece of meat. Might try again but not soon.
The food was not great for price. The atmosphere is nice but it was freezing while we ate. It took a long time to get our food and the restaurant was almost empty. We had somewhere to be after and thought we planned enough time with an hour and half but we were late. This is our second time but we wont go back.
Our waiter was fabulous, and the food was sublime.
This restaurant seems to have really gone down since I was there last.
Our food was tasty, but it seemed to take a little while to get to us. We were tucked back in a booth in a corner, so I don’t know if our server forgot about us or what... she was really sweet, but I feel like I’ve seen my server a lot more often at other places.
It was just ok. Nothing special about the food, seemed overpriced for the quality
Always love when we have a chance to eat here! A great experience every time!
Waitress was superb! Corn bread was the best I’ve ever had! For the price I’d definitely come here again. Was celebrating wedding anniversary and was not disappointed!
Love this place but would enjoy a change up in the menu
My husband found Ms Rose’s on Foursquare while planning our vacation to Charleston. From the outside ,the restaurant looked looked so fun and festive which made us excited to go in. We walked into an almost empty restaurant at 6:30 PM on a Sunday night. We were greeted by a friendly hostess an equally friendly waitress. We placed our order and the food came out in in 8 minutes after she took our order which we found strange for the items we chose . My shrimp and grits only had a spoonful of grits in it and the sauce was watery thin. The shrimp in it were very good. My husband had the Fish & Chips. The batter fell right off the fish when he picked it up and the fish was not fully cooked.
My daughter ordered the 3 piece Fried Chicken dinner. The breast was burned on the outside and inedible but she enjoyed the thigh and drumstick. As fast as our food came out there was no way that chicken could be fried that quick which obviously means it was sitting under a warmer.
We didn’t complain because honestly we didn’t want to deal with it.
I guess there’s a reason why the restaurant was so empty.
Great food, friendly staff. If you want southern choices without being greasy, this is the place!
Not a good experience the food was less than expected or expressed in its own reviews. Smaller portions and no seasoning? Salt need in everything!!! And not a Charleston Shrimp and grit literally two slices of sausage ? But plenty of nearly whole tomato’s???
