Service was very slow and our food came out cold but it was a great menu and the burger was top notch.
We sat down, looked at the menu and wondered why it took us so long to return! We have only been twice in the past 6 months, but each time the food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. It will not be 6 months between Sunday's dining experience and our next visit. PLEASE keep the quality of food and service up! :)
We had a lovely time. The sevice was excellent. Our waitress was genuinely pleasant & attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was warm, clean & friendly yet it wasn't too noisy. I like the renovations.
Went for Mother’s Day brunch and everything was outstanding! It was honestly one of the best busy, holiday restaurant visits we’ve ever had.
Great food and cocktails at a reasonable price!
The service was outstanding and the Bloody Mary bar was very nice. The food was good not great and the prices not in line with the value. My son did really enjoy his cheese burger, the low country Benedict was disappointing and the corned beef has casserole was not good.
High quality, great tasting food. The new breakfast additions are great!
Great chicken sandwich. This restaurant came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. I’m from out of town and would definitely return
Great food and service!
It took an hour to get our food (2 plates). Other tables with 5 or more got theirs first. Fried chicken was beyond crispy.
Went on a Tuesday expecting Ramen which they still advertise on the menu. Turns out, no Ramen for awhile.
Love the ambiance. Andy our Sever was great! Food was good.
Great Sunday brunch especially the shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy and a nice selection of mimosas (if you are so inclined)! Attentive service, reasonably priced. Recommended.
We visited Ms. Rose’s for an Easter Brunch. As a general rule, I do not eat much in the breakfast line. However, Ms. Rose’s menu gave us a nice variety of foods that allowed me to find just the right dish. All. In all, everything was perfect!
Super noisy and overcrowded the day we went. Too many people in the bar area at high top tables causing problems getting around them. Food always good.
The entrees came out very quickly after the appetizers. A little more time would have been great. That said, we love Ms. Rose's and bring friends and family there whenever they visit. We were very pleased with our anniversary dinner and the warm and friendly service.
Best quality food in town for an affordable price.
Server was extremely rude. It was not a pleasant experience.
Food was amazing !
The food and service is amazing! We were disappointed in the hostess who did not have a table ready for us when we arrived even after making a reservation for a birthday celebration
Waitress seems bothered or burdened to take our table. She was asked multiple times for refills. Left as though we were bothering her
It was very busy but our server did a great job serving us. The food was good. We enjoyed brunch.
Food was delicious. We had 2 salmon salads, fish was nicely done and well seasoned. Service was great! I arrived little late, but my table was reserved and ready for me. Thank you for a good experience. We had a great time. Will be back:)
Ms. Rose‘s was advertised as Southern cooking, and there was Southern cooking on the menu, but plain old dinner fare dominated. Steak, burgers, fries, mac & cheese. I picked the Southernest items I could find - Fried green tomatoes, local greens salad and shrimp & grits with Tasso gravy. The tomatoes were very tasty, but the pimento relish seemed haphazardly and scantily applied (same appetizer next night at different restaurant was equally tasty, but the pimento relish was plentiful). The shrimp and grits were excellent. The first rye whiskey Manhattan on the rocks was served with infused cherries despite my express instruction NOT to use infused cherries, but, instead to the classic Maraschino cherry garnish. The second was done just right. Ambience seemed to be aiming for “sports bar” but the televisions were chained together so that selecting basketball on one side of the place meant the folks he wanted baseball on the other side were disappointed.
Hands down, BEST place to dine in/near my West Ashley office. This joint is modern and that makes eating the delicious food more enjoyable. The menu is versatile, with proper homage to Lowcountry fare. ALWAYS DELICIOUS! This was probably my 11th time dining here. Never disappointed and that’s high praise coming from a foodie.
We are visiting Charleston for the first time and found Ms. Rose’s thru the open table app while traveling here and the menu had so many options that sounded good to us! We both had burgers...my husband tried the house burger and I got the single burger but added goat cheese, a fried green tomato, with onions and pickles! We shared truffle fries on the side! It was delish! Will definitely return here on our next trip! ❤️
The food is usually very good. But the last time we were there my wife order the fish and grits and it was so grease she had to send it back. But we still really like it and we'll return. Just won't order the fish :)
As out of town guests, we were looking for a wow factor, and were a little underwhelmed with it all. We felt the ambiance captured online was not portrayed in person. We left contently fed but, would probably not recommend this establishment over others in the area.
The best biscuit gravy around. Oh so delicious! At our table; Flounder and Grits with cornbread and she loved it all. Someone else ordered the chicken with Mac & Cheese. 3 pieces of chicken! Service was great.
Did brunch. Driving so did not try bloody Mary bar or Mimosa's but others around us seemed to be enjoying.
It was a fun place. Salad was huge. Husband did not like the hash at all.
Love love Ms. Roses always good never had a bad meal there
I enjoyed it in my first trip here.
We highly recommend the fried chicken, the carrot cake, and the cocktail called Another Kind of Painkiller.
Came for the brunch special and everything was amazing! Will be back!
I gave this restaurant an outstanding rating based on considering the class it's in -- not a 5 star restaurant, but excellent at what it does. We started with the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese - just outstanding. You don't have to be an ardent fan of either to like this dish. We both had the short ribs - a very good dish. This was our first time here and for a local food, not fancy type of restaurant, it did not disappoint. We'll be back.
Our server was amazing and always right there when we needed something. Very personable.
Excellent food and service! Great fried chicken, calamari and boiled peanuts!
Had been wanting to try this place for a while. As a frequent visitor to Charleston, I enjoy finding new places to eat. I was very disappointed in this restaurant. Ordered a glass of Malbec- tasted like cough syrup. Ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes- soggy and under-seasoned. The tomato based topping tasted like "canned tomatoes"- salty and metallic. Had the Scallops for main course. Again, soggy, no crust and under-seasoned. The brussels were pretty good. The pimento cheese grits were bland and very thick. Just an extremely poor experience overall. The waitress was attentive and offered to get another appetizer but decided against it. Unfortunately, not a place I will return to or can recommend.
The food from the valentines day menu was well prepared. Our waiter seemed a little overwhelmed.
Better than expected. Good was really good. Prices a bit high but a good choice
