About Mr. Lyons Steakhouse
Mr. Lyons is the newest addition to the F10 family, opened in 2015 as a reimagining of Lyons English Grille. We’ve taken steak and created a “New Classic” giving it a conscientious modern update, with a menu that puts local small farms first. Our grand dining room is pure old Hollywood glamour with a steak-centered menu boasting infinite sides and the kind of table side service that instantly transports you to a by gone era. Our lounge offers something a little more relaxed, where you can savor a true classic cocktail or something seasonal and new. Mr. Lyons is steak done right!

Mr. Lyons Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We ate at Mr. Lyons when they first reopened and had a terrible experience - bad food and service. After seeing many good reviews, we decided to give it another try. Both the food and service were better but still did not rise to the level we would expect at this price point. However, the beignets for dessert were spectacular and I would consider returning just for those!
We are regular customers of Mr Lyons and are usually fans. This night 4 Friends joined us. They are all from out of town and were very much looking forward to an excellent meal based on our recommendation. We had our usual waitress, excellent in personality & care given. The appetizers arrived with no bread having been brought to the table. must of the appetizers were the WEDGE. All came relatively dry and took too long to get additional. The pumpkin soup special was cold and sent back-it returned lukewarm. The rest of our Dinners 1 Salmon, 3 steaks and 1 Prime rib all came cold-- only one person chose to return it. I didnt because usually when you order a steak rare its not reheated but the give you another. Most of us were too hungry to wait. A manager was requested-never really apologized to the entire table but did arrange for 1 steak to be re-heated- AWFUL AWFUL- go from rare to well done just to heat!!
The Manager offered do Deserts or reduction of the total bill nor not even a business card for the next visit. all incredibly amateurish for an established restaurant we frequent. We will give it another try but that will be the last.
My girlfriend and I went to Mr Lyons for Thanksgiving dinner last week and the best we can say is that the experience was so-so.
What we liked:
-The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, especially the lounge and the main dining room.
-We were originally slated to be seated in the lounge (which is really just the restaurant bar) and when we asked to be seated in the dining room, the maitre'd kindly placed us in one of the two dining rooms.
-The food itself was generally solid if not remarkable. The menu that evening was a three course prix-fixe with the main course being either turkey, prime rib, or filet mignon (for a $15 up-charge)
What we didn't like:
-The prix fixe menu is understandable for a holiday meal (if a little disappointing), but a number of items on the menu were no longer available when we were seated (we sat at ~8.00p) - if memory serves, at least one of the starters and a dessert. While I get that Thanksgiving is a busy night, the restaurant has a whole year to demand plan around a simplified menu. To give them a pass on missing items from a prix fixe menu feels like grading them on a curve twice.
-In once case we weren't even told that things had run out prior to our dish arriving. When my main dish was delivered, it was missing one of the sides, the Yorkshire pudding. I had summon the waiter and ask him where it was. He then informed me that they were all out.
-We also inexplicably had to wait ~25-30 minutes between our first and second courses and about 15-20 minutes for our bottle of wine. The comment above about grading on a curve twice? Applies here too.
Overall, it is a beautiful, well-appointed space. Unfortunately that conscientiousness didn't extend to our meal. Of course Thanksgiving is busy, but it shouldn't be a surprise.
Our very first visit was to meet friends in the bar for drinks and to share menu items. The food, especially the Brussel sprouts, mini burgers, etc, blew us away! I can't even remember all we ordered. It was all extraordinary. Our last trip was for Thanksgiving, at 2:15, and it was a real surprise, to walk into the dining room and see such elegant decor and banquette seating. It was nice to ease into our dining experience, without a full, busy room and have time to talk with Frank, our knowledgable, very nice and knowledgable waiter. A true pleasure to meet him and the rest of the staff, who were all in control without rushing. It was like being at Ernie's on Nob Hill, SF - the total experience was that polished. The meal overall was great. The fact that you serve a Mary's turkey, was a huge plus for me, plus the promise of the sides of Brussel sprouts and corn made us jump for joy. Also the plate presentation was very much appreciated, as the food was not crowded, and even the mashed potatoes were serves separately as a side, with a small sample on the plate. The generous portion of turkey was fantastic, gravy as well. I am not a fan of a "wet" dressing, but the flavor was OK. We were not going to starve! The incredible mint and fudge sundae was divine! But I was really ready for a super tasty pecan pie. Maybe next year? I have to add, that I was not entirely happy with the French onion soup. It needed a larger bowl and a crispy crouton with the appropriate cheese. Too much gooey cheese, and the broth needed stepping up. Nonetheless, it was good for a few bites. For both of us, it was just too rich for a starter. But I do look forward to trying the pumpkin bisque! We hope you are open on Christmas Day! You have proven that besides fab food and a great bar, you can out-do any famous restaurant in this city, for Thanksgiving. Now, we want to see what you do for Christmas! We look forward to including you at the top of our restaurant list!
Front of house didn’t offer Table I requested and wanted to explain how I was wrong in my description of table requested. He added that a guest also altered my table request (which he did not). A quick; we’re sorry, what can we do would have been the only correct response.
Seymour’s Bar was a special treat! Best bar in the valley. It’s separately owner.
All else was perfect after we waited for correct table.
I had dined here before but was sorely disappointed on this visit. The dining room was very noisy, we were seated very close to several other people even though other seating was available. Considering the price paid, I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Our server was the fkn BEST.... We followed his advice and was an absolute hands down DAMN GOOD MEAL from start to the deserts from hell ( or heaven ) .... Would highly recommend this place for a good steak that doesnt cost a million dollars...
The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. The prices were somewhat high but we were there for a special occasion and knew that going in. What really made the dinner special was the service from our waiter, who made our entire experience very comfortable and made us feel very welcome.
I discovered this place from a friends recommendation and have bene 3 times now. Every time I go to Palm Springs I make a reservation. Each time our server remembers me and what we had last time! Great food, amazing wine list and deliciously chilled martini's! See you soon!!! (And look for me in the back bar) ;)
The atmosphere is lovely, and the plush booth we had for our party of six was cozy. Our server was attentive at first but seemed to disappear as the restaurant became busier (note that is was never full). Refills of wine and cocktails were problematic with very long waits between ordering and them being delivered from the bar. If only cocktail service matched the refill of water glasses which was borderline too frequent and reminded us how slow everything else was. The food was adequate though might fillet was dry and without flavor. Overall, what was to be a celebratory evening was less than satisfying.
Truly beautiful decor. Every detail of the interior design was thoughtful and exquisite. The food however, was absolutely dreadful. My friend ordered her petit fillet medium. It came so raw in the middle it was practically blue. I ordered medium rare prime rib that came well done and ridiculously over seasoned. A steakhouse should know far better. Maybe pop in for a drink, but find your meal elsewhere.
Had a very nice meal with friends and family. Most of us had the daily special which was a great value. It included an amazing French onion soup, great prime rib and a wonderful chocolate dessert. The service was very friendly and good. We will definitely come back.
Can't say enough about how great this place STILL is! Food, service, atmosphere classic but updated for today.
If there is one thing I will say- four guys in one of their booths can be a little tight if you're over 5'8- but we still sat there for 2.5 hours and had a great time.
