Food, service, and ambience were fantastic. Drinks were ambitiously priced.
From the time you are met by Darryl as your maitre de and escorted to your table - you know you are in for a great evening. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. Would never know you were at the DFW airport. Simply put - an outstanding evening b
it was fantastic . the service , food and ambiance was 100% they knock it out of the ball park. I would go back over and over.
Mr G's came highly recommended to us from a co-worker. My wife and I was on a long overdue date and we will now be recommending Mr G's as a good "go-to" in the DFW area.
A Secret Gem!! We eat here, because we were staying at the hotel, and now we drive three hours just to come eat at this awesome little restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is excellent and the service is perfect. Wine selection is nice with quite a variety, the maître d’ is a true gentleman. The servers are very attentive. Exceptional experience and meal. We will certainly return!
What a find for a romantic dinner! Everything was perfect, from the moment we were greeted at the door.
Love this place! This is our place of choice every year for our anniversary.
We have made it a tradition to come here for special occasions like Valentine’s Day. Mr. Gs has never disappointed us. There are only 14 tables/booths and the atmosphere is very exquisite and definitely romantic. The food is some of the best anywhere. However, what sets them apart is the exceptional service that is focused on making each customer feel like they are very special. Thanks to all for making our 2018 Valentine’s evening another memorable one!
The best kept secret in DFW
Love the service...the people and the food...quiet place for "date"
The food, service and ambiance are the reason to come here. And Darrel, the Maitre D is an absolute joy.
Very nice surprise in an airport hotel!
Phenomenal! Delicious! Best meal in years! I love this place. Can’t wait to make a reservation again soon next time I am in the DFW area.
From the tone we got the and was greeted by the maitrede....the experience was wonderful!!
The chef treats at the beginning were a welcome surprise.
The food was tasty and filling.
We will be back!
We had an overnight layover at DFW and wanted to enjoy a real Texas Steak. This establishment did not disappoint us. The interior of the restaurant had an ambiance of an old gentlemen's library. It is relatively small and therefore not noisy as in many other venues.
The wait staff was fantastic in that they paid attention to may wife's allergy and made sure the chef made modifications to allow her to enjoy the meal. Not the cheapest steak, but worth it if you are looking for a good place to eat dinner.
Great old steakhouse
Food and service were very good
Hidden gem tucked away inside DFW Terminal C
We usually like to dine at Mr. G's while we attend the BHS convention. This time we also had dinner here, but the service wasn't so good--not very personable at all. Food was good; wine was good.
We have lived in the DFW area for over 10 years and have tried many restaurants, but Mr. G's was the best restaurant we have ever been to in town. The food and service were both outstanding. Darryl, the maitre d' was one of a kind. He made feel welcome and at home. We will definitely return and recommend it to our family and friends.
Great meal, wonderful service. It's a gem tucked away at the Hyatt.
Excellent Restaraunt. Darrel makes the experience. I have consistently entertained clients as it is excellent for business dinner's.
We had the pleasure of dining at Mister G's after our flight was delayed. Great food, excellent ambiance and wonderful staff. I would recommend visiting under any circumstances!
Great service, and a maitre'd who fits the role perfectly. Portions are Texas size, so I would keep this in mind when ordering appetizers as the main courses are not small. Food was well prepared and tasty, and service was attentive but not overbearing. A nice find in the middle of an airport hotel!
I am a very meticulous gent, I plan everything out months in advance. I was so blown away by this restaurant last year (2016) during Texas Frightmare Weekend. I planned out exactly what I was going to eat, I printed out the menu, and provided my guests choices before we got there. I made reservations months in advance. When we arrived, the place no longer seemed exclusive, it was loud, the staff was fumbling around and changing table cloths while we were trying to enjoy ourselves. I was prepared to have the Reef and Beef, because I crave lobster and they had a set menu. I even asked the gentleman when I made the reservations if the menu was the same and he told me it was. The set menu was selective and for what it cost, I would have preferred just leaving and going to an upscale restaurant. I was highly disappointed by the sarcasm the staff conveyed and how I was treated this time around. Sadly, I will not be going to this restaurant next year as I go every year to Texas Frightmare Weekend. Looks like it was a fluke, and the staff even upset celebrity icon Udo Kier by asking his associates Charles Band and Agent if Udo was bothering them instead of offering him a seat. These guest sat next to us. They can't even realize a celebrity in their midst. Very disappointed.
Good goose liver appetizer. Very good filet, done just right, juicy and chewy. Good service. Not much interruption by waiters. Great seating for date night and quiet conversation.
Maybe need to improve:
Slow to serve food. You need to wave down the waiter for ordering. They are most likely not going to be over your shoulders asking if you are ready to order.
Wine list changed about 2 months ago. No more Silverado or Opus One by the glass. Bummer for Pinor Noir lover like my partner! Wine was not stored correctly and may be opened for a day or two.
Best kept secret in DFW. Food and service always fantastic. Thank you!!!
Definitely one of the best steaks I have EVER had )and I like steak, so I order it a lot). Service was quiet & attentive without being intrusive. Man, seriously, whenever I fly through Dallas I am going to make a point of having a long enough layover for dinner at Mr G's.
Service and food were superb. We had beef and fish dishes. All were gourmet quality. Staff was very welcoming.
Mister G's is the spot to take that special someone. A little on the pricey side but well worth it.
Mr. G's is one of our favorite places for special occasions. It is located in the Hyatt at DFW Airport. The restaurant is very small but elegant. From the moment you arrive and are greeted, to the wait staff who use a team approach to serve you, to the management, everything here says attention to detail. The food is the star of the show though. We have never been disappointed in the food or service and our Valentine's Night out was consistent with our past experiences. I highly recommend Mr. G's!
Overall a great meal and setting. Was not expecting such for an overnight at a major air hub.
Not as good as it used to be and not consistent
Incredible Host. Darrell. The team was also incredible. Will be back for certain. Two thumbs up
Food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Great place.
Exceptional service and outstanding good ! Servers are very knowledgeable about menu. Steaks are prime cuts and prepared perfectly . Will definitely return.
Incredible front of the house and waitstaff service. Great steaks, sides and wine. A hidden gem if you find yourself with a few extra hours at DFW airport. Ask about the history here. Great story.
Incredible!! Outstanding in every area and even better service.
The food was excellent and staff professional. A gnat went into my scotch and the waiter provided a new drink and did not charge for it. The maitre de was a very nice man, and gentleman
We ordered steak and sea bass. Food was ok, but service was not that great.
Food and wine can be expensive. Beware.
Wait time before and after placing our order is Looonnng!
Make sure you signal the server when you are ready to order.
Make sure you get your orders in first, especially if there are large groups.
Patience. Sit back and enjoy.
Their bread with sour cheese tastes good.
I go out of my way to dine here when in Dallas. A hidden treat.
