Mr. B's Bistro
We celebrated Father’s Day & splurged with southern favorites & pecan pie! Delicious!
Brennan’s Family hospitality and service are well represented in Mr. B’s . It was a bit loud but it was Sunday brunch on Fathers Day.
My go to place for out of town visitors
Overall, did not meet my expectations as s first-timer given the hyped reviews I’ve seen for years. The YAYa Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, supposedly touted as one of the top gumbos around was a disappointment, the meat was tender with rich goodness, but the roux was over cooked leaving a burnt after-taste. The pasta jambalaya was served in a bowl of flavorful broth but otherwise was nothing exciting.
Mr B’s is a wonderful restaurant!! I visit it every time I’m in NOLA!!
Vacation. We always come here when we are in NOLA! Never disappoints!
Sat next to the bar. Very loud had to move my seat. Food was incredible great atmosphere. service was just ok. Not check on enough and ran out of drinks.
Always exceptional service and food. This is our go to place when we visit NOLA. Alton provided amazing service.
Had a lovely lunch here - good vegan options for my fiancé and plenty of local and international dishes. Really nice vibe, great service and fresh, home style food.
Put us in the back by the kitchen when many other tables were open!
In another city, I would give Mr. B's a top rating; however, comparing it to surrounding restaurants in NOLA I didn't find its food up to the standard I enjoyed elsewhere. Very good, just not excellent.
Our dinner at Mr. B's was fantastic. Service was impeccable, food was delicious and perfectly cooked and plated. The staff here is truly fantastic and warrants a return trip every time we are in NOLA! Not good for kids.
Excellent. Food, service all great. Gumbo, redfish special, and profiteroles. All my faves and beyond expectations.
The best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had!
Great atmosphere and service
Our service was outstanding! Cannot wait to return.
Loved the relaxed feel of this brunch spot. The mimosas were tasty but not much better than an average Sunday morning diner. The French bread was absolutely delicious- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The crab cake was delicious but I was surprised there was not a frittata on the menu so I opted for the eggs. The service was great. Lovely brunch spot but I expected more for the money.
We enjoyed our dinner. The service was very good and the food was delicious. Although the restaurant is not small, it has a cozy feeling. We would definitely recommend Mr. B's Bistro.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Mr. B's! He had dined here previously while attending a company meeting and highly recommended it. Our reservations were for 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:15pm and were politely asked to wait. At 5;20pm we were taken to our seat by a window which was perfect for us. James and Sarah were out waitstaff and were superb. The food was served hot with little to no wait time. It was delicious. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience. I cannot wait to go back.
Maybe the best lunch ever. The Gumbo Ya Ya and BBQ shrimp were outstanding.
Doug made everything perfect. Wonderful restaurant. Great bbq shrimp.
Great food, and drinks with a little excellent help from our unobtrusive server. The restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine.
Mr B's was a great place to dine and I would highly recommend the barbecued shrimp that they are noted for . The desert was great
Barbecue shrimp were delicious. Good size too. Very fast kitchen and table service. Recommend.
Great food and service. I always make this my first stop
This place never disappoints great service and fantastic food.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner didn’t expect balloons and when we got to the table it was a nice surprise.
Lovely old New Orleans restaurant. The food was excellent and we had a wonderul waiter who helped us through the menu. Nice place for a special dinner.
Mr. B’s is definitely a must when you’re in New Orleans! I love the bacon wrapped shrimp with creamy grits. My husband and I stop in every time we’re in town.
Our waiter was extremely curt, bordering on sullen. The gumbo I ordered was inedible; pasty tasting. This is the first time I ever sent food back to a kitchen! I think the waiter was expecting this reacting to the gumbo, as he noticed immediately when I put it aside and came over to pick it up, never questioning what was wrong with it's
This used to be a favorite restaurant of mine. I will provably not return.
everything was great no complaints will return good food and drinks outstanding desserts
Asked for out-of-the-way table (important business lunch), and was seated in closed section—perfect! Salmon was likewise perfect; chicken in my salad a bit over cooked and tough, but tasty, and gumbo was good. Claire and Rocco provided excellent service without being intrusive. We’ll return.
Food was good, but bar/drink service was slow. The server was average, felt that he was just trying to rush us through dinner, not too friendly.
Excellent food and service. Whenever I visit NOLA this is a must. Went for dinner and lunch. Enjoyed pork belly and pork chop at dinner. Lunch was eggplant fingers and pasta jambalaya. Delicious! Also found a nice perk of complimentary dessert when eating a solo lunch. Berry cobbler was delicious too!
The food was great, the service was great, and the ambiance was great. It was a little expensive but that fit the style of restaurant. I would say the food and drinks were worth the price. The truffle fries appetizer was amazing too.
Everyone enjoyed their meals as well as the desserts.
The Pork Chop was the best I have had in years! Great service to go with the meal made the overall experience excellent!
Been there several times, always excellent food
We had a real nice time! The pork belly appetizer was amazing and I had the soft shell crab for dinner and that was super great too. The crab cakes were unforgettable as well! I would go back!
