First and foremost if you go request Glenn as your waiter. He was exceptional, we all agreed that he was one of the best waiters we have had in the city, and we’ve all had a lot in New Orleans. Our meal was very good. As an appetizer we shared the fried oysters which were agreed by the table to be the best item we had on the table. After that two of the four of us had soup, I had the Corn and Crab soup and the other person had the Gumbo YaYa. He said it was the second best thing we had. For entrees our table had the grilled fish, the shrimp and grits, and two of us had the pork chop. In the words of one of the people at the table, “Those were like my grandma’s grits”. The pork chop was very good, the flavoring was fantastic but the two of us that had it agreed it could have been cooked slightly less but still very good. The creole meuniere sauce served with the grilled fish was exceptional. For desert we had 2 pecan pies and a Lemon Ice Box pie and they were both very good. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Absolutely loved going to Mr. B's. Only issues were getting our order correct. Steak was ordered medium. Well came out rare. Other dish requested an ingredient removed. Still came with it. Waiter noticed at the end of the meal and apologized. Nevertheless, food was delicious and Sunday brunch atmosphere was quintessential New Orleans. We'll go back

This was our first time in New Orleans. Our server Jeremy honestly made this the best experience ever for us. Very knowledgeable of the menu and New Orleans culture. Would definitely come again. Now the food. We had the opportunity to try these items and here are our thoughts. Barbecue shrimp: amazing, shrimp cooked to perfection, shrimp rested in a flavorful dark sauce, seasoned well, no table salt/pepper or hot sauce required. Not what I thought of “bbq”. Not very sweet. More savory. That bread for dipping. Baby! The sauce and dipping bread was delicious. Needed self control not to lick the plate. 5/5 Shrimp and grits:again, shrimp cooked to protection. Slightly crispy. My daughter and I weren’t fans of the grits and dark roux. Not our fav. But fair 3.5/5 Seafood gumbo: delicious! Nice moderately thicken roux with shrimp and crab surprises in each bite. Also had a mild spicy kick in the back of your throat after each bite. That crystal hot sauce add a nice flavor without a crazy overpowering spicy experience. 5/5 Bread pudding: light, creamy, not too sweet. Lovely end to a great meal. 4.5/5

Cristina was an excellent server and really made us feel welcomed. Our meal was great! My only feedback is the menu isn't really extensive. Options are few

Celebrating daughter’s birthday. Michelle, our waitress was very nice. Shrimp, duck eggrolls, pecan pie with ice cream and lemon ice box desserts were very good. Tomato salad and crab with fettuccine appetizers were just ok. Nice location. Would recommend.

Food is great. Busy and loud but it’s a popular place. Server was a little forgetful but overall great experience.

We ordered their famous barbecue shrimp. It was lukewarm to cold, a bit gross. The waiter brought us a new dish which was even colder. Very unimpressed. The bread was good though! Also had the fried oysters, which were just okay - nothing special. The heirloom tomato salad was pretty “meh”.

We were disappointed in the egg rolls - too dry. Gumbo was fair. The red fish was excellent.
