Always excellent! We love Mr B’s, Classic New Orleans. Fantastic food and service. It’s a must do every trip!
Really enjoyed the entire experience. Food was great and service absolutely top notch.
The best crab cakes!
Overall good - gUMBO / to dark of roux, tasted burnt. But rest of food good. Waitress was excellent
One of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time
The ambience of the restaurant was fabulous. The staff was wonderful, from the hosts, to the waiters, and bar staff. All were polite and attentive. The food was incredible. We had the duck spring rolls and crab cakes which were some of the best food I have ever eaten. The different flavors were amazing. The veal entree was also superb.
Everything was delicious.
We love Mr. B’s every time we come to Louisiana we love to spend at least one meal there. JC was the best
Great. The only issue for me and my husband is that we were sat kind of in the middle of the room and spaced very far away from our neighbors… Covid restrictions. the lighting was too bright. But some of the best crabcakes I have ever had and my husband and I both had the veal Oscar and cleaned our plates. The pecan pie with vanilla ice cream was fabulous!
Do yourself a favor and order the Gumbo Ya Ya. Recommended by a foodie friend, and it lived up to the hype.
Great service great atmosphere great food!!
Mr B’s Bistro...was Absolutely Amazing! We cancelled our last night’s reservations to return to Mr B’s, with our friends from Katy, Texas!
We’re from Chicago and the cuisine was FANTABULOUS!

Mr. B's is a wonderful restuarant with excellent service, delicious food and a quiet ambience. Rocco and Karen are the finest servers in the restaurant.
Brett the best bartender in NOLA! You da man!! Thanks a ton...highly recommend.
Wonderful lunch on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The place was unexpectedly quiet with only about 20 customers (Saints game in progress). However the food was excellent and the service impeccable. I had the breakfast bowl --- pork bellies and roasted onions served with red eye gravy over grits and topped with a fried egg. So delicious!!! My wife had the more traditional eggs benedict - but it was delicious as well.
For dessert, profiteroles stuffed with homemade ice cream and I had the buttery pecan pie a la mode. We had constant attention from our waiters and were able to enjoy a nice quiet lunch on our anniversary.
Food was great
Glad to be back open again
Gumbo, redfish, bbq shrimp and bread pudding were all excellent. The service was a little fast-paced but otherwise lovely.
Our med. well steak was bland. Our gumbo tasted like gravy. We have been year mult. times, and it’s always been delicious. This was our first date since Corona, and it was a let-down. We will go back because we have had other great experiences.
Everything was great! A little sparse / strange in terms of the number of people there due to Covid but overall a great experience!
Burger was frozen patty. Disappointed with that but everything else was enjoyable.
Amazing food and top notch service!
food is always beyond expectations, staff super friendly
You cannot go wrong with the BBQed shrimp of the shrimp and grits.
Weekday lunches have $1.25 martinis.
Fabulous food!! The staff were very friendly and wonderful. Did not hover but we’re there whenever we thought about asking a question. This made dinner very enjoyable
This is my wife and I's favorite place in NOLA. Every time we have been there it has always been terrific. Keep up the great work and reputation y'all have.
A go to when we are in town
Excellent service, food and ambiance. We booked this restaurant at the last minute whilst in New Orleans and so glad we did. From the starter of duck spring rolls to the selection of main courses, superb! The service was excellent, JC our drinks waiter was charming and efficient, as was our food waiter ( apologies I can not remember his name), but both were a credit to the establishment.
Good, nothing great about the meal, ambiance or value.
Great Food and great service
The food was fantastic! Skip the tomato salad though. That was comical. If you want a decedent dinner star with the lump meat crab cakes, move on to the bacon wrapped prawns and cheesy grits. Then end it with the icebox lemon pie and espresso. The service from wonderful, especially from our back waiter. He went above and beyond. I think this is a must visit restaurant while in New Orleans
The food was great. We had only been. For lunch before not dinner. I would have liked it if the lighting was a little dimmer for dinner. It was very bright.
My only issue is that we had a 7:00 reservation. Before we even got dessert they started pressure washing the kitchen in preparation to close. The kitchen is open to the dining area so this was a little distracting and we felt like they were rushing us to leave. Seemed kind of early but maybe they have abbreviated hours because of COVID. Regardless we will be back.
Gotta have Gumbo YaYa as an appetizer. Profiteroles' after dinner are a must too.
Mr. B's was great! None in our party had been there for dinner in years. I don't know why. The food was excellent and the service was great! My sole and only complaint is that the lighting is a tad too bright for dinner. I prefer a lower light. It makes us look better. Otherwise, the gumbo yaya was as good as we remembered. The oysters on the fried oyster appetizer were fried perfectly. The jalapeno tarter sauce was great. The heirloom tomato salad was so refreshing. The redfish was perfectly prepared -- moist, smoky and delicious. The lump crabmeat on top was fresh as could be. The chicken sounds like a real throwback dish, and it is, but way lightened up. It was great. We were so happy to be served hot French bread. Too many restaurants are doing away with bread service, which is a travesty in New Orleans. The profiteroles that we had for dessert were great, too. The chocolate sauce tasted like real chocolate and the vanilla ice cream tasted house made. It's a throw back dessert that should be brought back and Mr. B's did a great job of doing exactly that! Thank you, Mr. B's for a wonderful evening!
This place has been a birthday tradition for us for over 20 years and it never disappoints. From the service (Clarence and Stephen were amazing) to the drinks, food...I can never say enough.
Birthday. Gumbo roux was burnt. Steak overcooked poor quality meat. Fries soggy.
Drinks were good but very dissatisfied since i picked one of my favorite places to treat a friend to a birthday dinner
Karen our server was great!
We really enjoyed the entire evening. Every step of the dining experience was covered to perfection. The brennan family does well Everywhere .!
I was, sadly, pretty disappointed in Mr. B's on our recent trip. I remembered it fondly from years past and looked forward to taking my son there, but I'm afraid the quality has suffered. The quality of ingredients and preparations simply isn't up to the standard it ought to be for a high-quality restaurant - certainly not with those prices and the competition from newer, more-energetic restaurants. The food was not bad, but it's nowhere close to being a top-quality place.
Always a 5 star meal & 5 star service! The team even surprised Mom with a birthday dessert & song!
