Mr. B's - A Bartolotta Steakhouse - Brookfield Ratings and Reviews
Celebrated our Son's 18th Birthday, I had the Halibut which was very good, my son had the Wagyu Steak, he said the best he ever had, my husband had the lamb which is his go to every time we eat there which was very good. Service could have been a bit better, had keep asking for refills on water and soda.
WOW, I am very impressed with Mr. B's. Took the wife here for Valentine's Day and it was a hit. The staff were great and the food was delicious. The steaks are seasoned and cooked to perfection. Best steakhouse I've been to so far. Ill defiantly will be back!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Mr. B’s recently and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious! We received excellent service from the staff. Our server was able to recommend a wine from the drink menu for us that was perfect and he went over the meat cart in detail. They were also accommodating to my food allergy. The only thing I didn’t like about our experience was the noise level. The music was rather loud which made it difficult to have a conversation at times.
Was a perfect evening. A very busy night our waiter said they would serve 350 people by the end the night. We were seated (with reservation) as scheduled and the rest of the evening was paced nicely. Enjoy calmari, spinach salads, filet and ribeye. Potato choice was roasted and sweet potato. All in all a great night.
We’ve been there in the past on a few occasions, this one didn’t live up to the reputation I had been broadcasting to all of my friends, family and coworkers. As for the service, when he got around to us our waiter was good, but left us waiting quite a bit between visits to the table to check on us. They were clearly not prepared for the crowd present on the night we were there, severely under staffed. The menu had changed a bit, there wasn’t as much actual shellfish/sea food as I remember in the “seafood bisque “. It was still delicious. The flavoring of my steak wasn’t like I remember it, kinda on the bland side. Last time I was there I didn’t put anything (salt, pepper or the steak sauces they offer) on it and it was to die for. In the past you wouldn’t even need teeth to eat it and could cut it with a dull spoon. Not so much this time, was cooked properly aka medium rare, but definitely needed a sharp knife. That’s after I paid for the more expensive “prime “ cut too. Otherwise my wife and daughter both really liked their seafood entrees (lobster tails and salmon). I’m not sure I will be going back. Not at their prices, certainly won’t be shouting their praises from the rooftops like after prior visits.
The wait at the bar was 15-20 minutes. I waited 10-12 minutes before I was first acknowledged/greeted by one of the bartenders. I was there to celebrate my moms retirement after 37 years of service in her occupation. They told me the pastry chef wouldn’t write anything on our dessert plate (such as Congratulations) when I called ahead, nor did they even advise our wait staff about the special occasion so I was completely unimpressed with the way that was handled. Also we ordered a bottle of wine and the wait staff never came around to refill our glasses (like they do at Lake Park Bistro or any other nice dinner restaurant such as Eddie Martini’s). Overall, I was beyond disappointed in the service considering the prices on the menu and how “top notch” any Bartolottas restaurant is supposed to be.
We've dined at Mr. B's several times and never had a bad meal. Table serving is done in pairs so service is attentive. My guest and I both had the 12. oz. filet medium rare and both thought the cooking had gone past our desired point rendering the meat a bit dry.
The service was fabulous as usual! The food is usually outstanding but the stakes were a little overdone. I don't mind paying the higher price for a meal that is as delicious as it usually is but we were not as happy with the food as we usually are. It's still a great restaurant and we will return!
The restaurant was very busy for a Monday night but not too noisy. My husband and I both had salads, I had the burrata and tomato which was out of this world. A nice generous portion and such delicate flavors!!
We also had the sole which was absolutely wonderful. I regret that I don't remember the waiters name but he was excellent. He achieved the difficult balance between hovering and attentive. Really delicious meal and wonderful waitstaff
We have been going to Mr. Bs for years and this was the worst experience. To begin we arrived on time for our reservation yet we were seated after 3 couples who arrived after us. Then we were escorted to the Red Room where we were seated in the corner table with less than 2 feet between tables... it was so bad we felt like we were in "Time Out". To make matters worse the table was uneven and kept rocking up and down.
The service wasn't up to Mr. Bs standards and the server spoke very loud not only with us but we couldn't help but hear the conversations he was having with the other customers throughout the room.
The entrees were served before we had finished our appetizers and they over done.
We aren't sure if we will return to one of our favorite restaurants any time soon.
I was very excited about taking my wife for her birthday. We were seated promptly, however our table for the two of us was about 3' from he next table . It was not conducive to personal conversation and the general atmosphere was very load. The dinner options were very well explained and we received our food promptly. The seafood bisque was very good and the bread was freshly baked and very tasty. The ribeye steak I ordered med rare was delivered med well. The wait staff quickly apologized and sent for a new steak. I then had to sit and watch my wife eat will I had nothing. She said her filet was the best she has ever had!! By the time I got my new steak my wife was done with her meal. The staff apologized, but I was never approached by management and never offered any compensatory items for my inconvenience. Overall, Mr.s B's is loud, impersonal for a date (maybe better for a group) and overpriced for the service we got.
Food and service good as usual with one exception. Noticed French Onion Soup, which I love, on the menu (didn't recall seeing it before). Their version was pretty poor. Pale broth, quite tasteless and definitely the wrong cheese. I've had better in a medium end national chain restaurant, and that's not saying much. A waste especially considering I didn't order the wedge salad so I would have room for my steak with the soup.
Food was excellent as usual. Service was excellent. Busy night and I think that the kitchen got
behind. Not the fault of the servers, we had three. Ambiance was about what you would expect from a steakhouse. Quiet enough to hear the conversation of your tablemate. Still very pricey.
$44 for 14 oz. of meat. It did include your choice of potato and steak sauce. The Brussel sprouts,
if you like them, were outstanding as were the sweet potatoes. Portions were generous, we had
two meals from them. Overall I recommend this restaurant and go there during the warmer
weather and take advantage of eating outside when ambiance is excellent and the noise level
Patrice & Jeff were attentive to our every need, most conversational, and very informed on offerings. We'll ask for them at our next visit in February!
If I was the least bit disappointed, it was with the reduced offerings on the "wine by the glass" list, and the potatoes served with my otherwise exquisitely prepared salmon dish. They tasted canned, tho I'm sure they weren't.
And Folks have to try the Seafood Bisque. To die for!!
One of our favorite restaurants ever!!
This was our third visit for a special occasion. The food was wonderful as always but we did have some service issues. Things were just coming out very slowly from the kitchen and even the bar. We’ve never experienced that before so not sure what was going on in the back of the house or among the service staff. We do love the place and will certainly come back.
