AWESOME AS USUAL. Our servers Arnould and Todd were outstanding. Food never disappoints!
Our meal was excellent
my scallops were great
We had an employee come in from TX, and when searching for a restaurant, a co-worker mentioned Mr. B’s. We checked out the menu and made reservations. First, the atmosphere was wonderful. It wasn’t overly “stuffy” or too fancy, which was nice. It was a relaxed atmosphere, and the service was good.
Our food was OUTSTANDING! Even the employee from TX, said he’d put that restaurant up against any of his steakhouses back home.
We work in the area and will absolutely be back again!
The food at Mr. B’s is always top notch. Tonight was actually really nice because it snowed and a lot of people cancelled their reservations, so it was abnormally quiet inside. Such a great change. All restaurants are always so loud. We got lucky tonight!
We celebrated our 21st anniversary as well as the 50th birthday of a friend. We were fortunate enough to get Nancy G as our server, we have had her before. There is nothing she won’t do for you. From recommending a wonderful wine to sending complimentary appetizers to our table for our special occasion, she made our experience wonderful.
We will be back!
Dinner was excellent, as usual, and our server, Elizabeth, was pleasant, helpful and attentive. Mr. B’s is one of our favorite restaurants.
A friend and I decided last minute to have dinner at Mr. B’s, to celebrate our April birthdays. Our server (Nancy) was amazing, the food was delicious and they even surprised us with a birthday dessert!
Loved dining in the bar area. A big thank you to Roxanne and Liz for the fabulous service! They made the best tag team!
Came to celebrate my sons birthday and had his 3 daughters. Did a great job of keeping the girls entertained with coloring books and food they would eat.
4 of us ordered the file8 oz steaks, 3 medium rare and 1 medium. They were very inconsistently cooked, 1 med rare, 1 almost med rare , and2 medium.
Birthday sundae that we ordered was great, the glam they provided was ok, apple Cobbler was good.
Vegetables asparagus was great.
Love the service here. You always have 2 servers helping you, so you are always being taken care of. Excellent is only the beginning as to how to explain how the staff is here.
Really enjoyed our steaks, loved the mushroom/onions add on. Really loved the bourbon peppercorn cream sauce. Thankyou Ted and Kyle, amazing service! But...the brandy alexander was very very disappointing. 15 $ and it was slushy..like there wasn't any ice cream but ice instead...and half was whip cream. Good meal but the last taste in my mouth was disappointment
The Easter brunch was very nice. I especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin. However, I felt there was too much cheese on the scrambled eggs, the hash browns were only room temperature and I had hoped for crispier bacon.
Very nice atmosphere. I hope to do it again next Easter.
I am recommending Mr B's with reservations. We went for an Easter Brunch. I have gone to other Bartolotta restaurants for brunch and have enjoyed them more. I think it's cheap not to include the coffee with the brunch, but they did include one free mimosa or muscato. The person who made my omelet did a poor job and its my fault for not asking for another. The service by the wait staff was great. I have eaten dinner here and that has always been great. I would go to Harbour house again over here for brunch.
No one in our party of 5 could say this was a great dinner, wasn't bad, just not great especially for the prices.
I think this is one of the better restaurants in metro Milwaukee. It is pricey, but the cuisine is very well done. The food is top notch, the waitstaff are very attentive and the ambience is pleasing to romantic.
Celebrating a birthday dinner. We arrived a little late (4 min - parking was limited) then had to wait. And wait. And wait. Our steak and potatoes were fantastic. Service was not as good as prior experiences here, seemed severely short staff
Delicious but come expecting to stay a while - very slow service but we expect to take our time when we go.
Food was awesome, service exceptional.
Had a reservation as soon as the restauranr opened and they were ready for us! It filled up quickly though. The servers never rushed us at all and timed the arrival of our entrees very well. Food was excellent also! We will be back for sure!
We had a great meal but our hallway seating location was out of the normal restaurant area and made us feel like they were short of room.also the glass of house wine at 18 dollars was a bit high. The waiters were great.
Excellent meal/ perfect service
Mr. B’s is an excellent restaurant for finer dining with nice ambiance, great food and excellent service. A fine resaurant for special occasions and romantic dining.
This place is great for a special occasion but a bit pricey for a simple night out. The service was wonderful and the menu had plenty of choices for everyone.
We enjoy going to Mr B's for special occasions. They always go above to keep us coming back and telling our friends to go their as well. Our children have started to go for their special dates as well.
Got seated in a corner with the back of my chair pushing against another patrons chair. Way too crowded tables. We should of asked for a different table.
Service was "meh"
Had a great time for all five of us celebrating our son's birthday. Grandson is only six and accommodating him was awesome. Gave him a choice of pastas and other kid type entrees. And a scoop of ice-cream for dessert. Service and food were both outstanding!
Great cuts of meat with excellent wood smoke flavor. Prices are reasonable for what is served. Staff is very friendly and accommodating - having the servers paired into teams works very well for the guests. The wine list is extensive, and the bar is grand. The atmosphere is relaxed and the noise level is moderate until all tables are occupied. The staff will do extra special things when diners are celebrating something special. The only drawback I have found during two visits here is that the steak tends to be cooked a little more than what is expected. So if you like your steak cooked to medium, you should probably order medium rare. Nonetheless, the meats are of the highest quality and retain their juiciness even when cooked well done.
Everything was great except the table location. We were seated in a high traffic, cramped hallway near the restrooms. Terrible location for a table.
I ordered a new york strip steak medium. I arrived at the table medium well and continued to cook on plate until it was well done. Our waiter never came to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything else.
We chose Mr. B's for a double date, date night. We connected with another couple, this was our second time, we love steak. We walked in, coat rack to the right, hostess desk to the left, we were greeted with a warm smile from the young lady ready to help us. To the left was the bar area, it looked nice and spacious. Tile floors, traditional feel of a steakhouse with a high ceiling.
We were seated at a round table in a back/deep portion of the restaurant seating area, as we walked through the restaurant seating area we saw a few booths but mostly 4 tops (tables) that were square tables. We arrived at our table which was a round that could have seated 6 people set for the four of us. What this seating style did was make it much more difficult to hear the person next to me because of the background noise of a bustling noisy restaurant. Needless to say, we made it noisier because we had to speak quite loudly just to be heard by our friends/date. I saw a couple in the corner, next table over constantly looking our way as if to say, boy are you guys loud as they were it appeared trying to have a nice romantic dinner (3/17/18 from 7pm to 9pm). Sorry to them, but there was nothing we could do, we were seated at the wrong sized table and of course we were having a great time and got passionate from time to time during our conversation.
The food was great, however I am frustrated by Bartalotta's choice of quality of meats. The serve big beautiful steaks but with the exception of the Ribeye, all steaks offered are "Choice" when it in my mind they Mr. B'S should sell/offer nothing but "Prime" quality meats. I remembered my previous visit to Mr. B's and remember the NY Strip I had, it was tough and not as flavorful as it should have been. I remember thinking, wow, that is not a very good steak and we're here at what on all other levels is a nice steakhouse. So this time I ordered the only "Prime" quality steak on the menu. Get rid of the Choice Steaks, go Prime!
Great place to eat!
Once again, an EXCELLENT dinner. Great food, great service. We will be back.
Great food, great service. Our waiter was very attentive.
Great food! Great service!
This past Wednesday evening we had the opportunity to dine with my son & his new fiancé. We all agreed the food was excellent . The restaurant was extremely busy for a Wednesday night and exceptionally loud in the dining room making it difficult to talk. We actually thought of moving back to the bar area because it was much quieter. The service was excellent as the servers had to jostle between the tables due to a packed house. I have to compliment the staff under the situation for still preparing & serving the food in a timely manner. The steaks were served at the perfect temperature and my wife had the scallops which in her words were exceptional. We will be back in the near future.
Awesome. Mike did a great job. Excellent service. Thank you!
My husband and I celebrated our 36 wedding anniversary at Mr. B's. My two complaints are that even though I made a reservation over a week before for a Tuesday night and requested a quieter place in the restaurant they attempted to seat us by the kitchen. I asked to be moved which they granted. I was a little appalled that they thought that would be OK for us. Secondly, I would add a few other non-meat and not seafood choices to your menu. It is a great menu for steak, but what if that is what your SO wants but you want something lighter? There were very few other choices for me. Because the menu is limited, I will probably choose a different place. Out waitress (CJ) was wonderful!
The dinner was wonderful and FULL of flavor!
I am utterly disappointed with the service and food. Was there for birthday celebration. Have two servers, but both kept forgetting us. My husband had only one drink the entire night. At the end, the waitress looked at him and said "oops, sorry I forgot to brink you your soda." For the price of the food, I would have been better off staying at home and cooking myself. The filet was so salty. I only ate half. I ordered a grasshopper after dinner dessert drink. There was so much ice in the drink. Horrible evening. Will never go back. $300 plus tip wasted. I work too hard to blow money on a substandard meal.
