Our food was delicious but a bit on the expensive side. And our waiter Dan, was wonderful! I’ll definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others.

First time diner. The high ceilings, artwork and mirrors on the walls added to the feeling of eating in a an elegant room. I thought the chairs were quite comfortable. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly. The service was attentive but not pushy and the food came out of the kitchen in a short period of time. The warm pita bread with olive oil was enjoyable while we waited to order lunch. We all ordered different items. I ate my entire salad and 2 ladies ate half and took the rest home.

We had dinner here last night with 2 other couples. We've written reviews for MP before and so this one will be brief. To get to the point, this is one of the BEST restaurants in Westchester, and would be one of the best in NYC if it were there. Chef Michael is a Celebrity Chef who has appeared on multiple cooking shows and who has been recognized with many awards--his food is uniformly outstanding. The staf was warm and super attentive. Our friends from LA, who had not been here before, raved about the meal. Worth a trip even from the city to dine here!

Not crowded here on a rainy Sunday afternoon, so it was quiet. One drawback is they do not offer dessert! Everything else was absolutely delicious.

The table I sat at was rocking and had to be fixed by stuffing a napkin under one side of it. The draft beer taps weren’t working and I was instead offered an $8 can of beer. The seafood paella I ordered which is normally wonderful had a pool of olive oil in it for $36. The prices of everything here has steadily gone up over the years with the standard not going up with it. I’m growing disappointed with mp taverna.

We’ve enjoyed the food here for a long time. Tonight the burger was a bit salty. No clue why. The dumplings were fabulous as always!

Not at all impressed with the hummus and the cucumber dips. Felt like they cam out of a jar , not freshly prepared and flavorless. Pita triangles were burned. Had lamb sausage in pita as the main course. Tt came drenched in a lettuce and white cream sauce. As a result way too soggy, including the pita. Greek paella was not impressive, at all. Service was slow.

Our food and the service at MP Taverna were excellent. We had to wait approximately 25 minutes for our table: that was the only frustrating or disappointing aspect of our time there. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant once we got to our table.

Great food..truly a great restaurant, a little gem..just they get very busy and it gets a little loud, but not unbearable and of course the service slows..but then you have time for one of their specialty drinks..try the boozy sangria..there's more in there then meets the eye..

First time dining here. Glad the four of us ordered two appetizers and one pasta entree to share. Though my sister took most of her entree home and her husband took some of his home. I took side dish (potatoes delish) home. I tasted her scallop-delish. Husband's fish, nice. My lamb chops, disappointing. Forty dollars for four small chops and one was barely a bite. They were not cooked to my liking--too rare. I requested medium. Upon return, the two were covered in charcoal. Service was terrific. Noise--loud. Indoor temp very hot. Why no air conditioning? I was uncomfortably warm the entire meal. Open Table's menu does not reflect what was offered regarding pricing and not $$. We were visiting from out of town. Next time we're in NY, we might return if during warmer weather, we'd sit outside. But I wouldn't order lamp chops.

M.P. Taverna is always a dependable choice in Irvington for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent and the service attentive. There is wide cocktail and spirits menu and a pleasant bar. Recommended.

I’m not a very imaginative eater so I’m not apt to try a lot of different things even when I revisit a restaurant. That said, this restaurant remains my favorite for their consistency and very high quality of service, atmosphere and, most importantly, their amazing food. I generally lean toward the cheaper end of their menu but I’m never disappointed when I do try something else. My birthday dinner choice when I’m nearby. Couldn’t be much better except on the occasional weekend lunch visit when a local jazzy group is playing.

Overall a great experience. The humus (a mound) was delicious. The souvlakis were huge and the potatoes were scrumptious. I would highly recommend MP Taverna.

Very good. I'd go back. The service was friendly, but not intrusive and overall, spot on. Prices were pretty reasonable, considering restaurant pricing these days.

Very good food with generous portions. And a very attractive space. I took the train from the city to meet a friend driving from CT, and the proximity to the train station and ample parking made it easy for both of us.

Excellent food, had the tuna, cooked rare, perfectly seasoned. Started with the appetizer dips and a greek village salad- perfect starters. Would recommend this restaurant which in my opinion is a cut above other greek restaurants which have more traditional offerings. Just a heads up, no desserts, they bring cannolis to the table, which are great.

The food was delicious. Octopus and shrimp Santorum appetizers were generous portions and very tasty. We shared a tuna main dish , also very good and we were full with all that. Our wine was a generously poured, but arrived after the appetizers, even though everything was ordered at the same time. Then the main course arrived before we has finished our appetizers so we felt that we were being rushed. They gave us cannolis on the house at the end, another nice touch.

The food and staff are always amazing, big thumbs up! The thing that continues to shock us is that they did away with any dessert (and leave mini cannoli’s on the table that are bought from somewhere else), so if you want dessert, you have to leave and go somewhere else.

MP Taverna is one of my favorite restaurants. The food and service are always predictable and excellent. Your food choice is fresh, well prepared and served. If you have not tried it, I recommend you should. This is what all restaurants strive for.

The food at MP was very good. They've added an extensive specials list which is quite broad. The portion size was generous for both appetizer and entre. The service was on the slow side. We sat at our table for nearly 10 minutes before a server introduced herself. I thought the prices were on the high side. I never thought I would see the day when appetizer prices were close to entre prices. The wine list was out of sight; $54 for a bottle of mediocre chardonnay? The restaurant is good but based on their pricing, its only for special occasions. I also found it peculiar that they had no desserts to offer.

It was one of our best experiences at MO. Food was amazing. Only thing missing is dessert!!! They haven’t had dessert in a very long time. The mini cannolis they give freely at the end while a nice gesture just doesn’t cut it. Very odd…don’t get what the issue is. Ice cream is easy enough. We hope that gets changed soon.
