The food is extraordinary. My wife and I started with the mussels. She had the lamb chops; I had the falafel souvlaki -- both were beautifully prepared and more than delicious. The waiter was extremely attentive. We have been there many times and look forward to going back. Beautiful location right on the Hudson River.

Very good food and smooth service, fairly good value. No Dessert menu. It would great to have Real authentic Greek desserts vs. Cannolis for free.

Everything was perfect about our experience. The food, drinks and service was great.

We missed going to the Astoria and Roslyn locations so we were happy we were able to stop by here for lunch on the way to the Hudson Valley.

Good food and great ambiance. Service was prompt and accurate but required me to get the waiter’s attention. In addition he wasn’t particularly friendly or informative. However, the owners/chef are lovely and welcoming.

Have been many times in past and always an easy choice. Lately I find the staff to be a bit disconnected.

All of our party of 4 were happy with their food choices. This is my first time visiting during virus restricted dining. All health rules were being observed yet it was the fullest dining room I've been in for over a year. Service started out a little slow, a disappointment, but it was explained by our waiter that they were operating short staffed because they weren't able to induce all their servers to return to work. Service improved as the evening went on. As evidence they were working short staffed at one point the chef (MP himself) was in the dining room helping to clear tables. To summarize, the food was as good as ever. Service started out a little slow, unfortunately, and except for that this remains one of my favorite places.

We had our dad’s 80th Birthday dinner here and I must say how happy we were coming here to celebrate! A big Thank you to Mario our server for his attentiveness and professionalism! He participated with us in our celebration and therefore added to the experience! I felt safe and comfortable in the restaurant. The food we all agreed was hands down AMAZING! The octopus was a home run and my entree Branzino was cooked to perfection! We are definitely coming back!!!

The food was good but too expensive. They should offer a special lunch menu with lower prices. They would definitely be busier if they did this. Most people want lighter fare at lunchtime.

Great food and service as always. The lemon Amish chicken is awesome. Can’t wait for the artichokes to come back.

One of the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. Decor, food, atmosphere, service and food was a 10. I already recommend it to 10 people. I will definitely be back and bring friends and family.

This was a lovely evening from start to finish. Easy to make reservations, great menu selection and excellent specials. The cocktails are amazing. Strong so sip slowly. I had the Citrus Crush. Service friendly and attentive. It was a safe dining experience too with COVID protocols being followed. Thank you to all the staff!

A favorite place. Food always outstanding. Service is tops. Wish we could get there more often but COVID is hurting so many plans. They did brisk takeout service while we were there.

First time eating out in a restaurant since October. Tables were spaced out and all staff members wore masks. Food came out quick, piping hot, and absolutely divine. We split the hummus (always a favorite of ours), I had the jumbo rigatoni, and my boyfriend had the burger. Although his burger was great it just couldn’t compare to the rigatoni! They even gave us 2 mini cannolis for a complimentary dessert. And although they were tiny, they were delicious! (And I usually don’t like cannolis). We will definitely be back again soon!

The best, most fresh Greek food!

We love this restaurant so we eat there at least once per week. Great service, nice ambiance, delicious fresh fish!

This was my third time dining at MP Tavern once pre pandemic and twice post. I’m certain restaurant was busier than usual due to Valentines Day however, restaurant should have taken less reservations.

In addition heat was too high felt uncomfortably warm
ventilatio n should have been better due to COVID.

One of the best lunches I have had in 20 years! We were blown away by the food.
Service was great, it just hit the spot and was exactly what we needed. They truly
are talented chefs and quality of ingredients were amazing. We will be back!

San Valentine with my family an incredible experience being served by Chef Psilakis. Loved the Octupus - amazingly soft and perfect balanced yogurt and chickpeas sauce. Superb paella (Greek naturally) with orzo. Reliable perfect staples as the grilled branzino. Free dessert - handmade cannoli. Outstanding.

The food was fresh and delicious. Interesting dishes especially since the menu was paired down because of Covid. We had an enjoyable Valentines dinner and would definitely return.

This our first time at Taverna and we will definitely be back. Our server was so nice and the food was great.

MP checks all the boxes for us. Great food (super great food). Lovely cocktails. Attentive staff. Beautiful, comfortable dining room. Elegant bar area. Option for alfresco experience. Top location. Convenient parking. Doesn't get better than this.

I went for lunch with a friend on a Thursday recently. Great food - octopus appetizer with chickpeas and yoghurt dressing which was delicious followed by branzino. Portions were generous, the bar area where we sat at a high top was bright and well organized for social distancing. Service was very friendly. I will go back again soon and hope others do to keep this restaurant and others in business.
