Cute, intimate dining space. Excellent service. Our server went out of his way to pick a wine to go with my shrimp and grits. Nice desserts.

We had a great time and meal, as we went for “the catch” (flounder) and “the feature” (striped bass) and paired with a Portuguese red. Both entrees were great (we shared), and the service was wonderful!

Food and service were good but the tent room was very strange with the pictures on the walls billowing with every door opening and it was drafty. The pan fried striped bass special was excellent. Wine by the glass was a bit pricier than at similar restaurants though the selection was nice.

In Winston-Salem on a site inspection for a future conference, we headed to Mozelle's at the suggestion of a friend who lives in W-S; he said it's his go-to for a fantastic experience without any white-tablecloth pretentiousness! And was he ever right! It was a *perfect* evening!

Our server, Stacy, set the tone with her genuine friendliness and experienced hospitality; when our party of four asked for modifications to our choices so that we could share one another's selections she didn't skip a beat and said, "Of course! This is your night, and, I as well as our kitchen want it be perfect for you!'

We chatted with the local couple at the table next to us... and they reiterated my friend's many reasons for loving Mozelle's. And out of all the beautifully created and expertly presented dishes prepared for us, the Tomato Pie was the standout... hands down! I make a fairly passable version myself, using exclusively local and in-season tomatoes from John's Island, SC, so I was skeptical // curious about Mozelle's version... in the middle of a Southern Winter. I don't think I have the space here to describe the love and skill that's evident in this entrée--or the succotash accompaniment--but I do have the urge to attempt to replicate it at home if Mozelle's shares its method! Best damn Tomato Pie ever.

I'll be back in W-S in late April for the conference we there planning, and, I'll be returning to Mozelle's... requesting Stacy as our server... and planting myself in this welcoming little restaurant, surrounded by their Brussels Sprouts... Spring Rolls... Fried Pickles... and that magical Tomato Pie.

Food was good Southern fusion. Fish special still had skin on it which I didn’t expect but probably should have. Tasted very good
Service was a bit slow for a weeknight sat 20 minutes waiting for entree. Otherwise a good experience

My wife and I are regulars at Mozelle's and drive from Jamestown (approximately 30 minutes) to eat there about once a month. The food and service is outstanding and our recent visit (Jan 19th) was excellent as expected. We took an out-of-town guest who was staying in Winston and she was very impressed with the food and the attentive service we received. It can be a little loud but not enough to be a distraction. The management and wait staff are friendly, attentive and always make our visits fun and enjoyable. I almost always get the tomato pie as an appetizer (I would go just for that) and often let our server recommend the entree. Favorite place for a great dining experience.

Currently my favorite restaurant of any all over US! Staff is so professional, efficient and friendly. Food is A+++. I have tried all of the regular menu dinner items and still have a difficult time making a decision. There is always a large quantity of food, good luck fitting in dessert (we always get it "to go").

Huevos rancheros from the brunch menu was delicious, like all the food at this restaurant, but unhappily was only lukewarm even cool when served.

Took my wife there for her birthday dinner. Wow, it was absolutely fantastic. I had the meatloaf and was blown away. Don't tell my grandmother, but I think the meatloaf might have been even better than hers. I am not a fan of collard greens, but I could eat theirs until I got sick. Also not a fan of grits, but these grits were as if heaven had been found on earth. Not to mention the portion sizes were big enough to bring some home for lunch the next day.

Thanks Mozelle's for a memorable experience!

Very creative fish special. It was excellent, so I assume other seafood dishes are similarly well-prepared. Half-priced bottled wine on Mondays made for a very reasonable check!
