We had our NYE dinner in the restaurant at the Cheyenne mountain resort for their Buffett. Food was good for the most part. Supplies were a little low on some things and other food items looked like they had been sitting there a while. The prime rib was fantastic. We enjoyed the food but service was almost non-existent with our waiter who was less than helpful about drink options, with just pointing to the coffee/tea station across the room when we asked what options were. He never mentioned anything about other drink options for ordering from the bar or that we were able to have unlimited mimosas that were included in our buffet. He was not around when we needed anything, we filled out own water glasses twice. He didn’t stop by to take empty/used dishes as we would go back for a different course or plate. To top that off with an automatic 18% tip on our bill was not appreciated. Tipping for a buffet is generally less just because of less need for serving but we got no service and were forced to pay 18% in a$50 per person meal. I’m generally a good tipper but that was ridiculous and lazy on his part.

Over priced for the type of food they serve, visit Golden Corral instead, the food is similar but golden is way better.

I bought these nonrefundable tickets for Christmas Day dinner and then read reviews from Thanksgiving. Boy, was I worried. It was about a 15 minute wait in a line for our 2pm reservation (and a bit confusing...do we go up? Do we wait here?) Once seated, the tables were spread apart nicely and really the food was top notch. We never really did have a server, but someone eventually brought us some water and cokes. Not sure it was great value at $85 a ticket, but food is expensive these days and it was Christmas. Everyone was very pleasant, we left full, and we enjoyed ourselves.

There was a long line that was confusing to get in to restaurant. There was a mad dash to then get in line for food that was out very quickly on some things. Staff was trying hard but the orginization was lacking. Most food was good but basic. Our server was good but stressed. Did not see the value for price paid.

The food was not hot like I like cooked food. It was not fantastic flavor like we expected. Selection was very good. My wife and I were up getting our food and we’re on our way back to our table when seating staff we’re trying to set someone else at our table. The staff needs to have a way to show if the table is vacant or the guests are just up getting more food. Facility and view is fantastic.

Thanksgiving. If you go, make sure you don’t reserve the end of the day. We couldn’t get waters filled. Ordered a 2nd round of champagne/ mimosas after trying to flag down wait staff for 10 minutes. Never got the 2nd round and saw the waiter packing up dinner at the buffet.

The atmosphere, food, and service were good and we enjoyed out Thanksgiving day buffet, however, at nearly $90 per person we expected more. The buffet had traditional Thanksgiving day options and a salad bar, but there were also a bunch of breakfast foods that are not very expensive to serve like bacon, eggs and biscuits and gravy. The only two items that we saw that elevated the buffet at all were prime rib and shrimp w/cocktail sauce and both of those items were dry and not very good. This was more of a $50 per person Thanksgiving day buffet.

I have had both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals here multiple times. The food and service have always been exceptional. This time was different, and less enjoyable. Overall, the food quality is excellent. The major issues were what was served and how it was served. I was very disappointed that only one spot offered stuffing and only one type of stuffing was offered. Also, the meat was placed at a single station that required quite a wait. I was surprised to see bacon and eggs and shrimp taking up serving area. The traditional meal in the United States is turkey and dressing. These staples should be available in various forms and easily accessible. I would encourage the manager and chef to consider the traditions we hold dear and plan the menu accordingly. In addition, design the serving areas to provide these key food items amply and with easy access. Thank you for the opportunity to offer my recommendations.

I took my family to the Cheyenne mountain resort annual Thanksgiving buffet. I’ve done this over 7 previous Thanksgivings. The experience was beyond unsatisfactory. It is clear they overbooked. Lines were long. Most importantly, the food was horrible. Years ago their brunch matched the Broadmore. No way near today. Everyone at my table was distraught of the cost vs quality. I thought it would be difficult to screw up a Thanksgiving meal. Well, Cheyenne mountain resort did. I will never step foot in that resort again

There were a lot of food options in the buffet, which was nice but the service line to get it was chaos and very unorganized. There needed to be “start here” signs for each area (main, salads, and desserts). Because no one had any idea where to start which led to people jumping in wherever in turn making the wait even longer to get the food. In addition, put a second gravy container next to the stuffing and mashed potatoes. For folks that got their meat at the carving station first, we had to get back in line to get gravy after already waiting because there was only one container stationed in the meat area. Again, the food arrangement didn’t make a lot of sense and unfortunately by the time we got it and got back to our table, it was cold. Very unfortunate for what the meal and experience cost. Wait staff was wonderful and very accommodating though. My mom and I were sat at a table where the sun was right on us at the end or the meal. When I requested to be moved, our waiter took us right over to a different table so we could enjoy our desserts and offered to take pictures so we’d have mementos of the day. Fix the chaos of the buffet line and this will be a more enjoyable outing.

We were very disappointed with the price, food and value of this place. We expected alot more than we got for the price we paid. The prime rib was gummy, hard to cut ,chew and cold. Shrimp was dry and nasty. The side dishes were like warm and not impressive. The best part was the server we got, when they finally got our drinks, the dessert and finger foods. We paid $89 per person and never again. We'd love to get a refund cause we hardly ate anything and we walked out of there hungry cause the food was so disappointing. Also, the food wasn't covered up good to stay warm as it was out on the bar and was out to the open, that's why we didn't eat much as well. Sorry guys this is the first and last time we'll ever come and eat here ever. You can keep your place and prices. We expected alot more. We already found a better and cheaper place and better quality of food for the price of the money for next time. Y'all's servers were great and the coat lady was awesome. The lady that seated us for this dinner was rude and said we were late, but this dinner is a come and go, all you can eat. She should've just stayed quiet and not said anything to us. That's what helped us make our decision as well not to come back. She was like a very controlling person. It don't take 2hrs for us to eat or anyone to eat that I know of. My husband was in an 18 wheeler accident and has severe injuries and it takes us time to get to places on time, but we were still more than fine when we got there. We we're considering staying with them too, but not anymore. We're good after this experience.

Wait staff will serve you water, juices, mimosas, but won’t serve you coffee. You have to get that on your own. The food at best was warm. Mostly cold. Selection on the Buffett was poor, also cold. Even the prime rib and turkey at the carving station was barely warm. Dolce has managed to take The premier brunch in Colorado Springs and turn it into a Holiday Inn Express Experience. I will never return. Save your money. Eat a good meal some where else.

Maybe breakfast is not their specialty. Went to the breakfast buffet this past Sunday morning because this resort is near my house and has 4 star reviews. I was excited because the lobby is beautiful and the dining area was right next to these gorgeous floor to ceiling windows. However, the food was lame. I didn’t partake of the omelette station, but the breakfast buffet was not even Golden Corral level good. It was basically Holiday Inn breakfast with insta-eggs, fruits, pastries, dairy, and proteins. The home fries where unseasoned and the oatmeal the only hot item. You get your own coffee and waiters will bring you juice, to off your water and take your plates away. Because of the rather lackluster offerings, I was surprised that breakfast for two was almost $60. Real talk: save your money and go to Western Omelette or King Chef.

We have been coming here for brunch for 15 years or more but hadn’t been since before the pandemic. I booked this brunch expecting a similar experience. They used to have tons of breakfast, lunch, and dessert foods with bottomless mimosas, a carving station, etc. This visit they only had a few breakfast foods, bacon, eggs, crepes, oatmeal, pastries. Self serve coffee bar, and $8.00 single serve mimosas. We spent $80.00 for a cold buffet breakfast we could have gotten at Holiday Inn Express or Hilton Garden Inn for free. The views are beautiful, but service was slow, and food was not good. Unfortunately I will not return. Sad because it used to be so good!

My husband and I were hoping to enjoy a nice breakfast with mountain views, and while we did get great mountain views and a quiet morning, we were underwhelmed by the buffet and overwhelmed with the price. The website did not indicate anywhere that the breakfast would only be available buffet-style, and the buffet itself, while okay, did not warrant the $60 bill we received. The price was not posted anywhere, but it was on us for not asking ahead of time. It was a fine morning, but honestly disappointing.

I think if they see that there are reservations, they should have called us in advance or not to close the restaurant without a reason.
