Mountain View Restaurant at Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, A Dolce Resort
Love enjoying a meal with friends and family! Great views.
It has a great view and a nice ambience. The service was adequate. I'm not sure about the value of the food.
It was great. The food was amazing. The only thing was, I wish we could hear the piano man better. Maybe the hotel can look into hooking up his piano to the speakers in the dinning area.
I was disappointed that, for the price, there was no turkey or ham. What was offered was tasty.
They made every effort to accommodate my mother’s special needs with walker and oxygen. Much appreciated.
Very nice setting with great views. The food selection for meats was ok however for sides not much in the way of vegetables. Service was not good as I was out of tea for long extended period of times. Overall it was just an ok experience I would try somewhere different on my next occasion.
Brunch was awesome. Great experience
Had a beautiful buffet of delicious food. So many stations you never really had a crowd! Love our wait staff and the room was so lite up with sun light and Christmas decorations.
It was a pleasure, thank you.
Amazing service and atmosphere. Loved every minute.
The food was good. The location of our table was in the middle of the room, so the sunlight was in our guests eyes during the entire brunch. They had to wear sunglasses the entire time.
CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER: All the food- pretty in presentation that is supposed to be HOT- NOT even warm but COOL temperatures !!!!!!!!!! It was the beef, chicken, fish, potatoes etc. ALL HOT DISHES WERE NOT EVEN WARM. Only broth was hot. So it really took away from FLAVOR and we all ended up concentrating on salads, etc and desserts.
This was our 2nd year. Decided not coming back.
PS. service was Kind and attentive - hope they were
The food was not worth the price for their holiday event. The wait staff was pleasant but service was slow.
We were looking forward to our dinner. Shrimp wasn’t very cold or firm. Salad bar orzo asparagus bad. Dinner salmon was dry & overcooked. Rice & ghnocci didn’t have good flavor. Prime rib was good. Very disappointed in dinner & value.
Nice view of Cheyenne Mountain. Delicious food with fair prices. Service was somewhat slow, even though only 3 tables were being used. Casual but nice ambiance.
The server who would come by was extremely rude almost the entire time I was there. There was not true brunch "buffet ". It was waffles , omelet and fruit and they had some breaded foods like bagels. Everything was over cooked. I was really looking forward to my reservation because a year ago when I came it was fantastic! This time I would have been happier just going to McDonalds.
Brunch with Santa was great! Food and service was excellent!!
A bit pricey but it's something we typically only do once a year so it's worth it. The variety of foods is excellent and it's always hot and ready. A bit pricey but again it's once a year.
ONE complaint regarding the children's buffet table/warmers --if you're going to have scrambled eggs in there (which I approve of), could you NOT smother them with cheese? I have no idea why anybody would do such a thing but it definitely made them inedible for me.
Other than the waiter spilling water and orange he juice ever time he filled the glasses and not knowing it was brunch with Santa and paying an extra $18 per person. It was good
First time dining in, we came here for our ladies Christmas dinner. The environment overall very pleasant. The variety of dishes were amazing.
We all had the holiday buffet. It was generally good. The rice pilaf was a nasty mess. The potato gnocchi and prime rib were good. As with our previous visits, the service was poor. Not sure I could pick our waiter out of a lineup—that’s have little we saw of him. This could be a great place if they fixed their service issues.
We celebrated a 75th birthday for my Mother, food was excellent with just enough items but not overwhelming. Server made a snippy comment as we arrived but tried to make up for it by being extra nice the rest of the meal. Host was also very "put out" to help us when we first arrived. Poor start but all and all a good experience.
While the restaurant is good, the food was overly priced for what was received. The menu was not an option on Saturday, December 14th unless we had allergies and the buffet was the only option. There was a salad with cheese section on the left, a dessert bar in the middle, and entrees on the right. There was salmon, chicken, beef, along with 5-6 assortments of sides. They also had egg nog and hot chocolate available. When the bill came, it was $60 a person which we were not expecting. More than anything, the Broadmoor Sunday Brunch offers three times as much with the price at $65. I was expecting the buffet to be around $30 a person but whoa! I should have looked at the prices beforehand and would have selected a different restaurant. If the restaurant is going to charge that much, a better selection of food could be good along with additional staff as it seemed they could have had more help.
Great view. Limited breakfast buffet and OK service.
We will probably make Thanksgiving dinner here a tradition. What a feast!!
The highlight of our visit was the server. She was funny, well informed and took great care of us on a day that she easily could have been home with her own family. I can't wait to try and find another special occasion to go back and visit here.
We went for Thanksgiving buffet brunch, and it was extremely crowded. I made reservations and thought we’d be seated in the main dining hall with the views. Instead, we were ushered to a table toward the back, in a conference/event room. While walking to our table, I heard a server complaining about working that day, so not a great start. Our table servers were just ok; it seemed short staffed that day, and they were all running around like mad, trying to give attention to the mass of tables and people. The food was better than average, but there were plenty of times much of the food was picked over and just sitting out; the stations waiting to be refreshed. The buffet was extremely pricey. In consideration of our seating, service, and food quality, this came out to just an “ok” experience, unfortunately.
1. Predatory PIF service charge not disclosed in advance.
2. Had to go to the waitress station and get my own beverage refills.
3. Food sitting under warmers.
This restaurant may be in a cool location with nice views but we were not impressed with the dinner entrees one bit. You can order from a menu or eat from the buffet. It has a casino restaurant feel to it with carpeted floors and an open access to the lobby and bar. Our server was very cordial and accommodating, but the food left a lot to be desired. I do not think we will be going back. Maybe for brunch it would be better. If you are familiar with The Sunbird that closed down, this restaurant reminded us of that. Great location but in need of a kitchen overhaul.
After making the reservation and driving up t the place only to find out that even though our reservation was accepted on Open Table the restaurant had decided to close for the night.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was an absolute highlight of our trip. The restaurant was fantastic, accommodations were exceptional, and the view was hard to beat. We will absolutely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.
Everything was amazing from the Service, food and views.
Unfortunately we had a very lackluster experience. Our server was nice but only took our order, did not provide an experience or suggestions at all. Food was quite overpriced for quality. Felt more like a buffet experience than fine dining that was described.
Cold food. Had to send filet back once and should have again. Ribeye full of grissle
The location was great, the service was excellent. The only thing that was not as expected was the salmon that was part of the buffet dinner. All of the other food was excellent, especially the roast beef with the au juis gravy. The chicken, as well as the rice pilaf and vegetables were delicious. It was slightly overpriced, but everything else about it was great. I had the Buffet, and my wife had an entre plate. I believe she had the "airline" chicken. She had a soda, and I had two rum/cokes. Total came to $90, so it was $110 with tip. That's just a little too pricey in my opinion for what we received. Not that what we received was bad, it just wasn't worth $110, in my opinion. But overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Excellent food and service. Accommodating staff. Beautiful views.
Great server who tried to make up for some terrible food. We paid $38 for a buffet that was almost entirely inedible. Food had been sitting out WAY too long. Server did bring some fresh salmon to our table which was fine, but had to wait forever for it.
We always enjoy a meal or two @ CMR Mountain View Restaurant when we stay on-property. Very pleasant resort, good service & a FUN Getaway.
The view at dinner was breathtaking and the dinner buffet was fresh and very versatile.
We had a joint birthday brunch and it was very nice. The service was a bit slow but since it was a buffet it wasn’t a big deal. At the end, without us even mentioning anything, our server gave us a big discount because she didn’t feel like she gave us enough attention. That’s a pretty good indication of how they view the importance of service, which is awesome.
The location is beautiful. The resort is well priced. The restaurant is a joke. We asked the wait staff would they recommend the "buffet". They said yes, no wonder, @ $40 a person they get a better chance at a larger tip.
The food at the "buffet" was low quality and lacking of options for $40 a person.
