We believe in fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are simply prepared from scratch. We take classic dishes, add modern twists, and develop our menu around each month's best produce, meats, and products from local farms

Our Executive Chef Allan Rupert, and Chef de Cuisine Jason Clark hand select all of the partner farms to provide a wide range of the area's best harvests. We are a certified PA Preferred Restaurant because we believe in quality ingredients grown right here in our Commonwealth.

We want to create a memorable dining experience complimented by the thriling sport of live thoroughbred racing.

My husband and I wanted to do something different for our anniversary of 28 years. We heard the food was good and decided to try it . it was fun watching the horses race while we ate our meal. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. We had a great time.

Pleasant atmosphere with more than adequate room between tables. Friendly and competent wait staff. Good selection of regular and smaller dinner selections. Good food at a reasonable price. Great way to have a relaxing dinner and enjoy live horse racing.

We are regulars at the restaurant and my wife and I like to play the horses. We never had a bad meal, and the service is always excellent. We usually bring another couple along with us and they are always impressed with the food, service, and the horses. Keep up the good work.

We were seated at the window and had a great view of the races. Service was attentive and we didn't feel like they were trying to turn over the table. I had the clam chowder and I think any New Englander would approve with 5 stars as I did. My prime rib was cooked as ordered and great. The mashed potatoes were a disappointment. Dessert and coffee finished off the meal. Mountain View at Penn National Race Course provided a fantastic evening. Great food and the added feature of thoroughbred racing can't be beat.

We had such a good time! We were able to have good food and watch the races. We were right on the finish line.
Wait staff was attentive. The prices were reasonable. I thought everything was going to be much more.
The crab cakes were wonderful. We are all ready planning to go back.

The waitress was excellent. The hostess was less than welcoming. Questioning going back due to the front desk staff.

Went to this restaurant to watch the horse races and have dinner. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. The waitress was awesome.

Saved by the Ponies! This was our first time (group of 4) to Mountain View and the horse races.
We had a new server and was noticeable. We didn't know how to use the betting machine at the table and neither did she, let alone some of the dishes, try them all so you know! The ribeye steak was fantastic but cold as were the sides so guessing our server left it to die in the window. Thankfully they know how to heat it up without changing the temp too much-- thank you to the one server with the long braid was hustling around that helped us as well. Ours didn't clear dirty plates or check on empty wine and beer glasses, i would have drank more if she just asked; hubby's cocktail was weak though. Horse races were awesome, we'll be back but a definite change in server.

Overall, decent for the venue. Blake, our server, was really efficient and pleasant. The food was just fine but not memorable. But to watch the races, a really good value.
