About Mountain Branch Grille & Pub
One of the best restaurants in Maryland is located just two miles from I-95 exit 74 at Mountain Branch Golf Course - 20 minutes from Baltimore.
Constructed out of three acres of Oregon’s finest Douglas Fir, the historic-looking timber-pegged post and beam structure has high ceilings, multilevel architecture and a magnificent view. The Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch is a favorite for relaxing after a round of golf and is an ever-popular destination for lunch, dinner and late night. Spacious patios afford dining al fresco when the weather is mild. And when winter winds are blowing, a large fireplace keeps the inside warm and cozy. The American-classic menu offers a diverse mix of tastes, including soups, salads, and sandwiches as well as fresh fish, crab cakes and Angus beef. Our chefs take pride in keeping the offerings creative and interesting - taking full advantage of fresh seasonal ingredients.

Mountain Branch Grille & Pub Ratings and Reviews
I loved the view overlooking the golf course. The service was very good, but it took a bit longer than usual for the main course to come out. Not overly long, but just a little longer than normal. The cream of crab soup was very rich, creamy and had lumps of crab meat all through it. Although I'm not a tuna fan, my dinner companion thought the seared tuna appetizer was delicious. The jumbo scallops were just that, jumbo, very tender and moist. I would definitely order this dish again. Nice wine selection. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and would not hesitate to visit there again to try another wonderful dish.
I love this place and I am not easily impressed. Everyone who works there is pleasant. The food is always good, consistent and interesting. If there is a problem it is taken care of immediately. I love sitting on the deck. We were actually on the deck during the earthquake!
Happy hour drinks from 4-7 is a great deal which includes top shelf liquor. Our group of 4 all oedered salads with toppings. Blacened tuna, Salmon and chicken were cooked nicely with great flavor. tough menu to choose from with many good looking choices. The wait and bar staff were friendly and fun.
Unfortunately I have to say , we expected more. Went there for restaurant week , 3 course dinner is $30.12 . When you add up the 3 courses at menu price , you barely get your desert free ! Not a Deal ! The waiting staff seemed overwhelmed , even though there were only a few tables occupied ! And now to the food...... My friend had the filet , and it was overcooked My partner had the chicken chesapeake , absolutely no flavor very bland ! I had the crabcakes , who were decent , at best The highlight was actually the cream of crab soup ! Very tasty !!! And the bread-pudding is yummy! Overall pretty disappointing ! The place itself is beautiful , great view fron the outdoor patio .
I really enjoyed the Sunday Brunch. What a great variety of food. The service was outstanding. Everything was served at its appropriate temperature. The crusted shrimp tilapia was cooked to perfection. The steamed shrimp were excellent. The biscuits and rolls tasted like my grandma had made them. It was a relaxing fun atmosphere. I will definitely be going back.
This was not our first time at Mountain Branch. We have come back because we like the feeling of the place, the nice view and the patio space in the rear. This most recent visit though might have been our last. The management seems to be going after a bar crowd more so than those wishing to enjoy a quiet dinner. We had to shout to talk to one another. It was very unpleasant to say the least. Our waiter did not bring any bread and mt steak was dropped off before I had a chance to finish a salad. There was no steak knife with the steak. We were asked if we would like another beer/wine AFTER we had finished eating. I had to find someone to pay as the waiter never returned to collect the check. We'll probably be going elsewhere...
I had been going to Mountain Branch maybe once or twice a year for several years and had always been pleased. However, I was extremely disappointed in this visit. I felt the menu was very limited. I chose the black & bleu steak sandwich. The bleu cheese and onions were dry because they were grilled onto the bread - not set on top of the steak as the menu described (as I was would normally take off some of the bleu cheese). The steak was less than stellar and quite overseasoned. I think the sangria was all fruit juice - I didn't taste any alcohol. I did enjoy the house salad.
The waitress was okay.
Brunch Has been better then this past Sunday. we arrived at 11:30 and when we went to the buffet line, most of the food was down to a spoonful or nothing. they did not restock as they should. the eggs benedict was dry and overcooked. the other breakfast items such as eggs were disappointing. the lunch items were solid as well as the salads. the buffet is right next to the hostess stand and there were plenty of employees around that could see the line and lack of food. we have been many times before and will return but they need to do a better job restocking the food.
First time here. Met a friend for a catchup evening and it was perfect. Moderately quiet in the restaurant, great fun at the bar, outdoors well kept and pleasant. Our waitress Zenoba was attentive, knowledgeable and available as needed. We had the Chilean sea bass and pork chop house specialty, mojitos , coffee, and dessert - everything was absolutely delicious. Going bac soon!
The bread pudding was one of the best I have ever eaten! I should have started and stopped with that. The eggs benedict were dry and tasteless. The bacon was limp. Some of the food trays were not refreshed in a timely manner. Overall I was disappointed in the quality of the food. However our waitress, Margaret, was excellent and made our dining experience worthwhile.
Mountain Branch was fantastic! Our regular Wed Nite Dinner Crowd was a party of 10 on this evening. We started in the bar with cocktails at Happy Hour prices before 7:00 pm. I had a delicious pear martini for $4 (norm $8). We were seated a round table, which really pleased our crowd. It makes for such easier flow of conversation. To top it off, we were able to have separate checks! Our server was Zunica, who managed our large party beautifully. I think this will be at least a bi-monthly visit for our Wed Niters. It was restaurant week with a prix fixe 3 course dinner for $20.12. Cream of crab soup was beyond delicious and then I had an excellent crabcake. Steak prix fixe not the best, but all want to go back and try other dishes.
