Great experience. We were celebrating 2 family members’ birthdays—each received a complimentary dessert!
Out for an early Easter. Excellent.
It was a great suggestion! The value was great as was the view! Server was very suggestive & even when he didn’t know he came back with informative info, I was asking all sorts of questions about cheeses etc.! Overall awesome experience & yummy
Always enjoyable. Food and wine is reasonably priced. Food is always very good. View of the golf course adds to the experience.
Service was great. Food outstanding. Guests were quite and friendly which bodes well for a good meal.
Great brunch and awesome view of the golf course.
Our party enjoyed our time. We each ordered different meals and drinks each person was satisfied. And pleased with their selection. The portions were perfect!
So so food....
I typically enjoy Sunday brunch at Mountain Branch. Sadly, this time, the food was sub-par. It was quite busy, and many of the foods were not being refilled in a timely manner and many of the hot foods were cold. I was disappointed. Probably be a while before I return or recommend to anyone.
The brunch was very good! Best bread pudding around!
Service was good. Carb option with meal would have been nice. Frogmore stew okay.... oysters a little ovedone. Broth delicious! Steaks perfectly done and delicious!
Honestly I was a little disappointed. I had been for brunch several years ago and I remember it as being "better" than this recent visit. For the price I didn't think that it was a good value. The food was not very hot no the selection was just so-so. Maybe if it wasn't so expensive I wouldn't have anything to complain about.....I just wasn't impressed. ☹️
Great restaurant! Highly recommend the bread pudding dessert!
Food was great!! Waitress very attentive. No complaints!
I met a friend here for an early lunch. We hadn't seen each other for a long while and ended up sitting at our table for 5 hours. The hostess was as sweet as can be, asking if we needed anything and encouraging our stay. My lunch was delicious...turkey sandwich and a salad. There must have been a half pound of fresh turkey piled on savory sweet multi grain bread.
I really enjoy this restaurant, especially the Sunday brunch.
Sunday Brunch fills up quickly but is always fantastic. My wife and I try to go at least once a month if we are home.
My wife and I decided on Mountain Branch for our Valentine's Day dinner. A reservation was made using OpenTable and I received a call the day before confirming the reservation. Unfortunately, that was where the good experience ended. We arrived a little early and were seated shortly thereafter. Drinks were ordered and took a bit longer than expected to arrive to the table. We ordered starters, a Caesar salad for my wife and cream of crab soup for me. Her salad was decent though very basic and my soup had a single lump of crab meat in it and was very thick. We both ordered steak dishes for our main. She ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the NY Strip Neptune, a NY Strip covered in a brandy sauce of crab, shrimp, and scallops. When our mains arrived, the server brought out my order first but brought a steak and crab cake. We told him that was not my order and he left. He came back two minutes later with the waiter who said that was my order. I told him that I ordered the NY Strip Neptune and he said that's what the steak and crab cake was. That's not the case at all and I'm sure that he was aware. The food itself was uneven. The steak was cooked well but the mashed potatoes were cold. After the mains, we decided against dessert. When presented with the check, I saw that I was charged $10 more for my steak than I should've and a $13 charge for the crab cake was on the bill. What made it worse was a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the check. So not only was I overcharged and told that the incorrect order that they first brought was what I ordered, I was forced to tip 20% for poor service. This definitely wasn't the Valentine's Day I envisioned and will likely be the last time I have a meal at Mountain Branch.
We were there for Valentines Day and the special menu was outstanding. The stuffed salmon was superb. Our server was very nice and efficient.
It was Valentine’s Day and they were low on staff. We had to wait quite awhile to order drinks and hear specials. The food was very slow coming out. With just on large group they could not handle it
The food was good. Did have a minor problem with my first filet minion, it was not cooked as I ordered it. The 2nd one was cooked correctly. They did give me a free glass of wine for the 1st steak not being cooked correctly. Service was very good. My wife and I enjoy eating at this restaurant. It is a nice quite adult restaurant. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Met up with a friend for lunch before a movie. Turkey was fresh and the avacado on the sandwich was a pleasant surprise. Shrimp salad was delicious. Sunday's are busy with their brunch so have a reservation. Service was fabulous. We will go again and again.
It was very average. Nothing special. Omelette station was nice. Chocolate fountain was especially good, but was told that was only there for Valentine's Day
Went for Valentine’s Day brunch food was awesome but some of buffet items were a bit cold
Too noisy. Food very good and generous portions for Restaurant week. Worth the $$
Came for Harford Restaraunt Week. The Restaraunt Week menu was a very good value. Food was good. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Restaraunt initially was not very busy, but filled up to capacity during the time we were there.
Our server was incredibly nice but he and the kitchen just seemed very overwhelmed, resulting in some delays from the kitchen and slow service.
Was still a positive experience overall and would recommend.
Shared an evening with co workers for restaurant week. A great selection in menu. Beautiful restaurant with comfortable setting. Planning to keep this restaurant as first choice for other occasions as well as casual visit to relax. Thank you
Disappointed with appetizer— although calimari was tasty, it was so overdone that it could not be chewed. I therefore was concerned about ordering main course so I had the flat bread pizza which was tasty.
Great food! My husband got the NY strip and I got the crab cakes. The portions were huge so we split and did a surf and turf. Tasted wonderful and the drinks were great too
Great atmosphere especially at Christmas time.
Well paced meal with attentive staff.
It was a very nice lunch date with friends. We had really good bloody Mary’s and soup for starters. Food was great and the scenery was wonderful.
The food is good. Innovative but not so much that you have to knock your tower down to eat.
They do a good job of trying to use seasonal items and the salad is always fresh.
I like a restaurant that is consistently very good and offers a good selection to chose from Mt Branch does this like on a cold snowy day their French onion soup is just terrific. their bar is "neat" and has excellent drinks from a great martini to a draft guinness beer. The tuna steak and ruben sandwiches are a must try
My office is based in Baltimore City but I had a meeting in Harford County that wasn't ending until noon and wanted to have a holiday lunch with my team at 12:30 so I chose Mountain Branch. Two of my three team members had to drive up from Baltimore City, the other was with me in Harford County. Each of them commented about the look/feel/ambiance of the location even before we were seated. No one complained about the drive! All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was great too! I live in Harford County and can't believe I am just getting here. Will definitely be back!
Great for Sunday brunch. A wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. Nice view of the golf couurse.
The food was overpriced and the service was extremely slow. We waited over an hour between receiving our appetizers and entrees.
Great brunch and waitress was so attentive with bottomless mimosas. Good food on buffet although slightly tepid.
We had a very good visit. The staff was welcoming, our server cared about our experience, and the food was very good. We dined at night and couldn't experience the views from the two story windows. Nothing stood out enough to be excellent.
Good crab cakes! 2 in our party had a turkey etc sandwich. They seemed to enjoy their lunch as well. Our waitress was very nice but it seemed that that the management may have given her too many tables. I felt badly for her trying to keep up.
Diners are ‘stroke four’ the Mountain Branch Golf Club restaurant. Serving up style, sophistication and scrumptious cuisine, the short ‘drive’ from Bel Air delivers a scenic overlook. Tip: Reserve your spot in order to sit by the window and view the lake and golf course.
The steak I had was very good. Our server was very attentive. There was a wedding reception going on as well as another private event. Lots of people walking around which made it noisy. If you are looking for a quiet place for dinner and conversation, this is not the place. If you are looking for a party, this the place!
