The Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch is a favorite for relaxing after a round of golf and is an ever-popular destination for lunch, dinner and late night. Spacious patios afford dining al fresco when the weather is mild. And when winter winds are blowing, a large fireplace keeps the inside warm and cozy. We have been to the Sunday Brunch before at Mountain Branch, but this time the food seemed to be under par. The waffles and french toast were hard, some of the other dishes were cold. Hopefully this was only a one time thing because we have had some great brunch meals here. It's a great value especially once you add in the unlimited mimosa's and bloody marys
The food was tasty. We should have stayed about from the Flourless Chocolate Cake dessert. It was very gummy and overly sweet.
Wonderful time with family and friends. Good service and beautiful view!
Excellent dinner with friends. Food is always delicious. Wait staff always attentive.
Service was slow. Some of the food Luke warm. Was going to get dessert. Told use of some dishes. Never came back. When he did we just got the check.
Service was great! I ordered the pork chop...great flavor but portion size small and meat was dry and chewy. Wait staff attentive and kitchen made up for short comings of entree.
The hostess and our waiter were amazing "people", not just employees. They both were friendly, competent and very good at what they do. Service is their forte!. I will be going back, very soon!
Some food was not hot and had to be sent back. The place was EMPTY. Overall good but I felt it was overpriced.
Not as good as it used to be. I haven't been there there since they first opened.
The crab cake was undercooked. The server could not tell us what type of IPA’s they had and got frustrated when we asked. She told us they had “doggie style” and “red eye” which do not exist. My husband had to up and ask the bartender himself. They should have a beer list!
We always enjoy the crab cake special--food is served hot and the crab cakes are large! Our server, Margaret, is always pleasant, efficient, and attentive; as a result, we have a very enjoyable dining experience!
Enjoyed our dinner at Mountain Branch. Food was delicious and did not disappointment. Our server was engaging and accommodating.
Food and service was great. The room was a little cool, could have been a little warmer for my liking. My wife and I had a very enjoyable, quite and relaxing dinner for our 49th Anniversary. There were no crying, screaming children or kids running around in the dinning area. Just adults having relaxing dinners and conversations. Was not over crowded but enough people to give it some activity. Other meals around us were well presented and smelled very enticing.
We were a large group and had Great service and food
Service and place was nice. Seemed a little disorganized and staff seemed untrained and ill prepared. Shrimp bisque was worst I have had. Steak was great but rest of dinner was look warm. Pork was overcooked, apple was gross. Bread pudding was microwaved to warm up and parts were still cold. I have been here several times before and this was a a big let down for New Years.
My friends and I get together every year around this time for our Christmas brunch. It has become a tradition and Mountain Branch does not disappoint. The brunch is the best around. There’s nothing you can find for breakfast. You can go wrong either with bottomless mimosas. They also offer meats, veggies, seafood, soup and fruit for lunch. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoy this. No other restaurant can compare.
I’ve had many experiences at MB, mostly good. First time taking family from out of town there and it was disappointing. Service was slow, entrees took an hour and were lukewarm at best, and the server missed the soup order. When I mentioned the the food not being hot to the server, his reply was, “As long as you’re enjoying it...”
What a shame.
Very slow service. It took almost two hours just to order. Food was cold when it came. Brutal.
Dinner was wonderful! I brought International Guests and they really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and worked through the language barrier with ease.
Great buffet! Awesome location.
Food was much better than we were expecting. Dining room doesn't have much atmosphere and seems very small compared to the building exterior. Maybe there are other dining rooms we did not see.
Service was a bit brusque and not really attentive and it was not crowded. They were also in a hurry for us to leave (9:20) and they are supposed to be open until 11:00.
Delicious meal, wonderful service, lovely night!
We were celebrating our 6 month of being married although we haven’t quite hit a year because we are having a vow renewal/ wedding on our one year anniversary, however our waiting brought out a complimentary cheesecake with a candle and celebrated with us. I love the fact that we had 1 waiter dedicated to our table and was on top of everything!!!!
Great Ruebens - all 3 of us had them!
Food was excellent. Was disappointed to be informed that even though I am not able to eat, so did not want, the fries that come with the crabcake (which was excellent), there would be an upcharge for the rice! I don't understand why. We did feel a bit rushed to order, even though there were very few other tables with customers. We hadn't had a chance to look at the menus when the server came back to ask if we were ready to order. Other than that, she was a good server. Maybe, because it was lunchtime, they are used to having people want faster service. We also did notice that the noise level was rather high for the few people in the restaurant. We assume it is the acoustics of the room. Not a big issue, just something we noticed. My companions were also very happy with their sandwiches.
Delicious food, great service. The 4 of us had a really enjoyable evening. This place is a hidden gem.
I think it was just an off night. Our server was extremely frazzled, and seemed to constantly have issues with the general manager.
There was a total of 7 of us. We each ordered something different. The food was outstanding!
The decaf coffee was a bit weak and was not drinkable.
The biggest complaint we had was the terrible service! The lady who served us was terrible and should not be serving tables. She was hardly around. Never filled out drinks after asking several time. We had to ask the other people for refills. We also found that she had a chip on her shoulder and gave us a hard time about asking questions about the menu. She also started removing plates on the table when we were still eating. We had to ask her to stop.
I would go back as we enjoyed the food but I would make sure I do not get this server again.
Nice experience for a early Saturday evening dinner
Great , friendly Bar with live music, excellent ! Lovely menu with creative specials and the absolute Best Service ! Thank you for a great night!
Recent diner was great as always. 4 of us work mates and the service was excellent as was the food. The strip steak and double cut pork chop were huge and very good. As were the tuna and chicken Marcella. And they have Guinness beer on tap. what more can you ask for.
Our hostess was wonderful and our waiter, Steven, was so awesome and accommodating!
I have not been here in several years, but must come back again soon. Food was delicious and bottomless mimosas were great!
I was promised a table with a nice view but was given one backed in a corner while another table I inquired about was left empty.Although I had a reservation, they told me the policy was to leave the requested table open just in case unexpected people arrived. Very bad management!
Delicious food and drinks at a good price. Had a varied menu.
Not for Brunch ! Food was over cooked and dried and unappealing. Avoided it by doing custom omelet. Disappointed. Drinks from bar and view were great !
I believe our server for our outdoor patio lunch was Bethany who was very attentive and polite. When we moved inside to the bar after lunch the server (Joan ????) was not friendly at all and seemed very annoyed with everything. If she was having a bad Friday it was very evident. Thanks.
Not unless the food quality improves. Calamari was warm but not hot. It was rubbery, so over done. Our server did not charge us so that was a plus. Salmon was dry and just bland. NY strip streak was not hot and slightly over cooked. Best part of meal was the bread. First time we have ever had meal like that at Mountain Branch. Hopefully it was an off night. We will try again but maybe a while before we do.
Maybe we went a little too early...we were by far the youngest people in the dining room. Drinks were so so, my wife ordered a jalapeño margarita and was told “no one has ordered that before” when it came out (pickled jalapeños not fresh sliced soooo meh) Easter shore nachos came out cold and stuffed salmon came out too hot (left under a heat lamp for too long hot) and the dining room was incredibly hot...you would think a place with $30+ menu items would be able to crank up the ac a little more.
The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The ambiance was excellent. The cost was reasonable for what you received. Need I say more.
