Moulin opened its doors with the mission of making guests feel as if they have been transported to Paris with an emphasis on authenticity from the food & drink to the décor & ambiance, with as few cultural adjustments as possible. Moulin is a bistro filled with the smells of fresh-baked baguettes & croissants, the sound of people speaking French, the sight of organic rotisserie chicken slowly turning as it slow-cooks to perfection, the taste of a panache that triggers memories of a Paris vacation, & the touch of pastry cream as you lick your lips after enjoying a delicate pastry.

We always go to Moulin when we are in Orange County on vacation. We were there this time for breakfast and the Chef's dinner. Both were excellent. It's so refreshing to find a unique place with excellent food choices at a reasonable price.
The three course meal changes every week (Tuesday only). ALWAYS excellent and a great value. Lea is friendly and attentive. You find yourself transported tio the country side in France. Wine is priced fairly.

Such a sweet evening. We have been wanting to try an evening meal here for a long time. We love having brunch here- so a little excuse for a celebration came up- and oh! So perfect! -Food, service- everything! Merci!
We were in Newport on vacation and were thrilled to find this place! We stopped in for breakfast and for their Thursday night special. Both meals were really good. They have a wide variety of ready and made to order selections and all of them looked really good. Both of us agreed that we wished there was a Moulin in Denver!
We have enjoyed breakfast there for years. Finally got around to going to the Thursday steak night. It was ver good. We will be back.
Reminded me of Paris bistro dining~~casual, fixed price menu, slow kitchen, but a good value. Service could be improved but perhaps there were too many tables to be served by two attendants.
Always enjoy eating here for their special Tuesday or Thursday evening dinners and with son & daughter-in-law for any meal.

A very nice place for good and quick Cafe foods. Particularly their onion soupe and salmon are very good and excellent buys. The bakery and pattissery are also excellent, serving the best baquettes and Napolenon in Orange county, worthy bakery. The stars given by me are based on the low prices there. Good buys.
Nice local restaurant. Very french. By that I mean the meals they serve are not overly fancy. But there is attention to detail, with good ingredients and preparation.
Going to Moulin is always a special treat. At this visit it was in celebration of Beaujolais Nouveaux release. Where else can you go and get a fabulous steak, French fries and wine for 40. This is still a secret in Newport. Wait staff especially good.
Thursday night entrecôte steak is done in an excellent French style. We enjoyed the ambiance of dinner guests enjoying themselves, restaurant decor, and accommodating pleasant servers...especially Leah whose smile is enchanting.
A great little restaurant. This Valentine's Day dinner was our 4th dining experience here. Their décor is casual befitting a French bistro, with inexpensive French wines, fine French linens, and other French-made items on display among the dining tables. Mixing with french-loving diners and chatting with the French waiters made us feel like we were all friends dining in France. A very enjoyable experience.

Our first and only time going to Moulin was on bastille day and it was the steak and fries menu so we can only judge on this night. The steak was not bad at but not good enough for the price charged. I assume the price was because of wine and beer included which I can understand. Ambiance is wonderful. We'd like to go back and order off the menu to get a better idea. thank you

I love Moulin for lunch but this time I brought my book club for the Thursday night dinner...we loved it!
Enjoyed our Thursday evening prix fix dinner. Prepare to over indulge a little. :)
Loved the food and service at the Tuesday evening dinner. The wooden chairs are are a little uncomfortable after about an hour.

Believe it or not, for $25 per person you walk in the door and find yourself transported to a small French bistro. The prefix meal on Tuesday is always amazing. Thursday night is steak and French fries (entrecôte and pommes frites). We have a hard time choosing.
For the last several months we have been alternating each week.
Wines available are good and fairly priced. Corkage is only $10.
Laurent's Labor of Love - a wonderful intimate true French Bistro that exudes all that one would expect if dining in Paris, Lyon, etc. We immediately were transported to a casual and eclectic evening in France. The Tuesday evening three-course pre-fixe dinner we enjoyed last Tuesday was incredible. Now looking forward to the introduction of the Thursday night ribeye and frittes dinner ecperience. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
