Lovely space, food and service !!
A standard-good brick oven style pizza place. As competition is hard in NYC, it’s hard for me to say the pizza stood out but it was good and a nice neighborhood spot I can walk to. I will say the drinks aren’t all that great and took a while to come out.
The food is delicious. The ambiance and service are absolutely one of a kind. Great experience and can't wait to come back.
Great food, service is friendly, just a great place.
The best place to have a group gathering or a conversation with a friend. Or even a date. Really affordable, especially the wine list (all bottles $40). Sharing a delicious salad and two pizzas is a perfect meal. The Kale Caesar salad is not to be missed.
Only downside is it can get loud (the music) but once you adjust it’s just great and they don’t hover or try and rush you. Chill in a good way.
A bit 2 frosty in front at the windows - but nice service at all.
It’s very comfortable and it’s a great place to catch up with friends for hours when it’s not too crowded. The kale Caesar salad is a must, it’s done so perfectly. (Even for those anti-kalers out there. You know who you are.)
And the pizza is just so darn good! Great prices on tasty wines by the bottle—all $40. And the staff is so kind.
Food amazing... family styled dining recommended... clam pie a tad bland but the prosciutto offering was fantastic as was the sweet sausage and brussel sprouts... i've read reviews of sub-standard service... i don't think it's necessarily the case... but my server didn't know how to make the cocktail on special so she asked me to pick another drink... lol... i'm not gonna trash the review because of it... but should be noted... my glass was always full i must say... server was attentive for certain.
Came here for dinner on a weeknight. Food was good and reasonably priced. Staff were nice to us but when we arrived the woman behind the bar was being extremely rude to a group of tourists leaving who didn’t tip and then spent a lot of time loudly sharing her frustration with her coworker. Sort of ruined the experience for us. Probably won’t be back.
Incredible experience, we were celebrating a birthday, and received a great service and food!
really bad service. The waitress took half of our order without pay attention to the other half.
The pizza arrived at the table wasn’t the one my gf ordered. The place was empty so no excuses for not taking good care on one table.
We are return customers! Always enjoy the pizza and I love the roasted artichoke appetizer. This time my husband and sons ordered the octopus and potato app and enjoyed it. The staff is attentive and personable. 👍
Great pizzas, the crust is perfect. So simple and so good
The staff was very friendly, and I liked the casual ambiance. I met an old friend and we had a delightful delicious dinner. Definitely a good thin crust pizza spot in Brooklyn.
Love the meatballs
Friendly waiter and waitress
The meatball appetizer is amazing
The pizza is delicious and the service is very good
My husband and I go to Motorino at least twice a month . The service is great and the food is delicious. They have the best pizza around.
My wife and I are "regulars", and wanted to take friends of our from Bordeaux, France to Motorino. Service was fantastic, food amazing, etc.,etc. ( as always) The evening was spoiled, when I attempted to give my credit card to the bartender ( the wait staff was busy) to pay for dinner, in order to not have an awkward conversation at the table with our guests ( I.e., " who was going to pay") The Bartender became hysterical, that I approached her to ask her to please give my credit card to our server to pay for dinner/drinks; in addition; I was supposedly not standing where she wanted me to stand. ( she is definitely not a team player, and a border line psycho-path). Wait staff apologized, and brought us a free desert, because they were embarrassed by her behaviour. Completely spoiled a lovely evening. I shared with Manager, ( fantastic) who apologized.
Outstanding. Clean, very nice server and staff. THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS!!! Pizza was napolitana-excellent. Highly recommended.
Had the greens salad which was perfectly dressed then the cremini white pizza. I was dining by myself and the pie was so go I ate the whole thing by myself!!
Best pizza I've tried in NYC, and good cocktails. I recommend to book a table as it was pretty crowded on a Saturday evening.
Absolutely love this pizza spot fresh ingredients , staff was very nice and suggested some Delicious items , cause I was so overwhelmed , my crew left very satisfied ❤️👌🏾
Amazing pizza! Wood fired crust is amazing. Top favorite in NYC/BK
Pizza’s we ordered were bland tasting, semi warm not hot, and didn’t even look good enough to want to eat.
Service was without any warmth or smiles.

Great service capped off a great evening off food and wine! Their pizza is really fantastic and they place a lot of value in their ingredients.
It was a lovely evening, great service amazing food.
Pizza was great, The Margarita pie very flavorful but the Brussel Sprout pizza didn’t have as much flavor and the pancetta was chewy. The dough is what shines. 2 people for lunch just Pizza and soda $60.00 not Cheap!
Would recommend for sure
Excellent pizza, real neapolitan style. Must try their meatballs and octopus salad too
Drink options are modest like the food menu. The octopus salad was the standout menu item other than pizzas which were excellent
i had never been to the motorino in brooklyn and the place has a great old school new york feel with subway tiles, a vintage-y bar with nice lighting and relaxed cool furniture. And of course, the pizzas are perfect. Also did not know about their lunch pie special - any pizza plus salad for 15 - - if i lived in w'burg i'd be here at least once a week.
I LOVE PIZZA
The pizza crust is very good and the toppings generous. I recommend the simpler the better wrt pizzas, as the meat toppings tend to dominate the delicate flavor of the tomato sauce and chesses. The fennel salad is also highly recommended. The cocktails (from the menu) tend to be underwhelming. Go for beer or wine.
The food was excellent. We had the Heirloom tomato with Burrata special, meatballs and a few pizzas. The flavor in all the food was very good. Since we there for lunch, another salad came with the pizza- so much food and great value. Two suggestions- restaurant was cold and the red wine was overly chilled. Maybe have a cabernet at room temp as an option.
The pizza here is very good but the service is poor. I waited 10 minutes at the door for somebody to even make eye contact with me. There is no excuse for this, I don’t care how busy the restaurant is (and it wasn’t that busy). Just a smile and an acknowledgment. This is just restaurants 101. I was embarrassed.
The music was good and the volume of the music was fine. However, the interior of the restaurant is covered with hard surfaces, which created a lot of unpleasant ambient noise. (Tin ceilings are pretty but can be impractical for this reason.) It was hard to hear my companion over the general din.
I wouldn’t come back here to dine. Prices are probably not good enough to justify takeout either.
Honestly wasn’t that great. Very underwhelmed. Much better pizza from slice shops.
The waiting staff was attentive and I was very pleased with my selection (Brussel Sprout white Pizza).
Our neighborhood favorite!
I usually go here a lot. One of my best pizza spots in Brooklyn. My friend and I ordered pizza and wings. As the menu says “roasted chicken wings” the waiter decides to tell me and my friend they’re not fried.
As me and my friend are people of color we found that to be very rude and absolutely distasteful. Why would he think that telling us that was a smart move when the menu obviously says ROASTED chicken wings.
Service was memorably poor. The staff didn't seem to communicate with one another--we had a reservation but waited 25 min our our table and were told conflicting information by the host, the manager, and a waitress. The bartender was more interested in chatting with the manager than serving drinks. And the wait for the table was, get this, blamed on Opentable for allowing a 4-person reservation.
Food was fine-- pizza was soggy but tasty. Octopus was tough and fishy.
Would never go back.
