Bad food, no bread or side salad, portion small, was hungry an hour later, not offered dessert
Was disappointed in the quality of the food, was high priced, small portion, expected better. Would not go back
Motor Supply is the culinary gift that keeps on giving in Columbia. A delicious menu served by people who are equally passionate about food and making sure your dining experience is one to return for again and again and again...and we do!
10 year anniversary
Wonderful food and service
Enjoyable experience knowledgeabke staff
Tried out for brunch, was not disappointed! Food is always excellent at Motor Supply.
Dinner was amazing
Dinner was, as always, delicious!!
Traveling through and wanted a nice dinner. Staff was lovely, food was SO yummy. Only negative was our table was a little close to the hostess stand so there was a lot of coming and going and we couldn’t see the rest of the restaurant. Other than that we enjoyed our evening immensely!
Pre-dinner drinks with Josh were superb! The meal was great and Stephanie was great!! Will definitely be back!
We traveled from Augusta, Georgia to join family traveling from Charlotte, North Carolina for a birthday celebration. I had lunch year last year and really loved it. So I recommended it to the group. I was a little surprised by the price of the menu for dinner. I just felt like since this is more of a casual dining place that the price didn’t reflect that . Entrées should’ve been about 4.00/5:00 dollars less in my opinion. And I’ve owned two restaurants and now have a catering business... so I think I kind a know when I’m talking about when it comes to food pricing . That said, we all really enjoyed ourselves!
I was a little disappointed… We been wanting to dine there for sometime and all three of us were not real happy with our food it was OK but it wasn’t great. My husband and I both agreed that we probably will not go back.
Extremely pleasant dining in Columbia. Fun atmosphere, very interesting menu and deep wine list with very reasonably priced bottles. Service could not have been better.
The trout dish with black-eye pea relish, squash, zucchini and tomatoes was phenomenal!
Birthday dinner for my mom- service and food were both outstanding. This is the new birthday spot!!
It was my first time and it exceeded expectations. Stephanie our waitress was amazing and I cannot say enough about the food!
We’d heard and read a lot about Motor Supply Company Bistro for many years while attending the Masters Tournament. It’s rated one of the best in Columbia. Our server Drake was outstanding—very attentive, professional & personable.
We ordered two entree’s—the Delmonico steak special & Halibut. The Halibut wasn’t cooked thoroughly & was sent back. An entirely new & properly cooked Halibut was delivered to our table & was excellent. Unfortunately, we were so distracted by the uncooked fish that we failed to recognize that our Delmonico was also served very rare—when we ordered medium-rare—and a it also had a considerable amount of gristle that was uneatable. Given the cost of the steak—$58 after what we thought would be a good experience turned out to only be average. Definitely recommend checking the temperature of any meat cooked here very closely since none of what we ordered was originally prepared correctly.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful as usual! A little disappointed about the service. I have never ever had a problem at all but our server this time was distracted and we would have to flag him down. It was Master's Weekend so maybe that had something to do with. Otherwise, totally loved the experience.
Great classic fare, and great service, cannot go wrong!
Have been several times and food is some of the best in the Southeast. Excellent cocktails and perfectly cooked farm-to-table food.
Food was excellent but a little over priced for Columbia, SC
My husband and I eat here often. Fabulous food and great service coupled with a charming atmosphere.
Very poor service. Can only presume that once 6+ sat 15% was a lock.
I generally do not tip on wine unless exceptional sommelier service
15% added anyway. Became an issue.
Never offered dessert or coffee et al.
Fish dishes super salty.
Overall very disappointing
Great food and service. Favorite place in Columbia.
Motor Supply never disappoints. About once a year my husband and I travel through Columbia and always plan to have dinner here. This restaurant has an interesting and changing menu. I look forward to their specialty vegetarian entrees. My husband enjoys the steak. This time we both had an arugula, strawberry and mozzarella salad. My vegetarian meal was a butter bean frittata served over roasted asparagus. I didn’t know quite what to expect, but as always it was both interesting and delicious. The steak was served with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My husband thought he was going to have asparagus envy but the spinach was so good he didn’t even offer me a taste. We were lucky, Motor Supply is generally closed on Mondays but due to the Masters Golf tourney they were open. The service is always outstanding. I highly recommend dinner here.
Food was good but overpriced for its value. Service was good and friendly. Menu was not very clear, needs more details about the plate written clearly. Also note that not every cisitor of yours is from the U.S.
I made an Easter dinner reservation for eight and had to add another three with less than a week notice. The folks at Motor Supply Co. were able to accommodate my party and provide us with a wonderful experience. None of the eleven people in my party had anything but glowing reviews of the food and service. I will definitely be back!
It was nice but didn’t feel special.
Outstanding overall experience. We were celebrating a birthday, and everything was executed superbly. I had the halibut which came with vegetables; the fish was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were seasoned and slightly smoked- both in perfect balance. My gf had the "coulotte" steak, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our server Biancha was just everything you could hope for on a busy Saturday night at a trendy hot spot- pleasant, efficient, attentive- a perfect 10 score goes to her. Wine list hits all levels- something for everybody and at all price points. Excellent restaurant, excellent.
Our food was good, but we waited a long time for it compared to other tables. It was cold when delivered. Had to always be asking for things, because our waitress never checked on us. We’d have to glad down other waiters for water, etc.
Tonight was a Birthday Dinner for my wife. Motor Supply was a perfect location both in ambiance and cuisine. It was a special yet relaxed restaurant atmosphere with a superb menu of items that pleased the palate. Service was excellent too! Highly recommend!
Motor City was as it always is, amazing. Service was outstanding, recommendations were spot on and food was fantastic! They always have creative fare that tastes wonderful! This place is spot on every time we visit!! Keep up the amazing work!!
Alice was our server. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She offered great options to consider and knew the menu cold. We had the bone-in pork chop and ribeye. Not only were these mains outstanding, but the collard green sides were simply the best with a fine balance of savory and sour. We’re never disappointed with an evening at Motor Supply!
Casual, artsy interior. Menu changes daily with a focus on fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. Well-prepared and flavorful.
Some friends and I decided on Motor Supply for a girls night out. The food was good but the service was lacking. I ordered the chef selection board but received a cheese board instead. I ran out of water and never received a refill. Our server was never around for me to even request a refill. For the prices on the menu, i would’ve expected much more attentive service.
Food was prepared very well and was delicious. Atmosphere was friendly and romantic.
Food was excellent. Good menu.
Very tasty dinner, great service, I will happily return to Motor Supply
My favorite restaurant in Columbia. Always my go-to.
