We also have an extensive hand-crafted cocktail program with fresh, house-made ingredients, along with sake, beer, and wine. We also offer happy hour specials at open and before closing every night!
Be sure to see our custom-built LED cherry tree from our upper level dining area.
If you cannot find an available reservation time, our bar, window, and sushi counter seating areas are always available on a first-come, first-serve walk-in basis.
The best sushi in the area! And an excellent service too. Kids friendly:)
Really high quality fish, terrible sushi cuts and knife skills. Sushi rice was dry and had very starchy texture. In particular the bad cuts on the sashimi and nigiri were very glaring. I found multiple pieces of tendon, skin and bone across the sashimi and nigiri I was eating. The cuts were visually unappetizing as well, often with weird stringy bits.
Great food but food took forever, even with only a handful of customers.
Sushi is good. Sake seems pricey by the bottle. Staff decided to scold my daughter for playing with her chopsticks, which I had just corrected her about seconds before. Wasn’t a great end to an expensive birthday celebration. If other options are available I’d probably choose to go elsewhere.
Food was good but I ordered noodles and they came cold, from the fridge. Very disappointed. When I asked the server if it's a cold dish, she said no and apologized and asked if we wanted to take that home since they throw it away witch we said.yes, but the noodles never came back so I assumed they reheated them and bring them back as a need fresh dish. I don't recommend it!
I'm very sorry you had a poor experience. I assure you all of our entrees are served fresh. If your dish was cold likely it waited too long before being brought to you, which should not have happened. Forgetting to bring your item to-go is also an oversight and very unusual for our staff. We certainly do not re-serve items. I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss your experience in more detail to see how we could have done better. Please feel free to email or call us. Thank you.
Great food and wonderful service. Would come here again.
Forgot to give the soup first. Food was slightly at room temperature but regards to taste, it’s good
The rolls were delicious!
Food was great. Price was great. The only thing to keep in mind is weekday happy hour is only from 9-close, which is actually 10pm! We thought we had some extra time.
The weekend close time is later so you have plenty of time for happy hour.
Excellent sushi.. and great location on Ballard Ave. We will definitely be back!
Really good food and nice wait staff.
Great spot & delicious fish.
This is a terrific place . Four of us celebrated our daughter-in-law's birthday and were completely charmed by the food, the ambiance and most importantly the staff. All the people from the waiter to the host to the chef were attentive to our party's special dietary restrictions and we all felt very well cared for.
And the food and drinks are some of the best I've ever had.
We will return.
Food was excellent. Our waiter was attentive. Overall a great place. Just watch out for the fire hydrant when parking. We got a $47 ticket. The darned thing was painted dark green and blue; we didn’t see it.
So delicious! This easily just became my new favorite sushi spot!
A wet and dirty menu would seem an obvious faux pas for a restaurant wishing to attract and keep customers, but this establishment appears to have no such aspirations. I asked for another menu, and received another stained example. The other introduction was a rather glum host. Not a bad fellow, I'm sure, but not very welcoming into the restaurant. I suspect this outfit will not remain in operation for long. They've lost any signage advertising the place. Interiorly there was clearly a good effort for food preparation and service was fine--too bad the cosmetics (and hygiene) were so off-putting.
Excellent service and incredible sushi rolls! Safe area worth the drive!!!
server was a little grumpy/unfriendly but overall good food
Our high school seniors went there for their prom and were treated very well and the food was amazing. This Sushi place is now their favorite for sure!
Got a reservation for 5:30pm on a Saturday, on the same night a Jazz Festival is happening in town. We were seated right away. They immediately offered us their happy hour menu & regular menu. Food, overall, was great. There was a particular dish we weren’t fond of, but it is a hit for some of their customers according to our server. Upon mentioning to her that the dish was not our cup of tea, she took it off of our final bill! That was so nice of her and we were very very grateful. Will definitely come back again to try out more of their other sushi dishes we didn’t have a chance to order as our bellies got full!
Food is pretty decent, environment is good, service is decent. Price is also reasonable. Overall a pretty good experience!
Wonderful!
Fish quality was amazing
Amazing food and good prices.
My favorite sushi place in Seattle. Always fresh, always good, always great service. Atmosphere is nice with 2 stories and big lighted cherry blossom tree in the center makes a nice focal point.
Bad food. Not fresh fishes disgusting
The food is great and the service is wonderful! Great happy hour!
Excellent omakase
Not great food, just great prices! We will not be coming back.
It was great!
Mood lighting was a little dark but the service was perfect and the food was incredible.
The sushi was good - which is rather the norm at most Seattle sushi restaurants but should be noted. The prices are nice as well with most rolls in the $9 - $14 range. My only challenge is the tables being super close/packed in. Frankly, it is less a hip vibe, and more loud, communal seating with strangers. If you would like to have a good conversation with your date, this is definitely not the right spot to pick. However, if you love those hectic, bustling, noisy places, this is a solid choice for sushi.
It was our first time to Moshi Moshi and my wife and I had a very nice experience. We pretty much went with the sushi and two orders of tempura. Tempura was excellent (albeit, small portions), and the sushi was very good. Good service, lively atmosphere. We would go back for sure.
Great experience and service! The whole place is fantastic.
Moshi Moshi is our favorite sushi place in Seattle. The staff are always amazing, the happy hour is great, and the whole room is lit up by a gigantic led cherry blossom tree.
Excellent all around !!!
I've been coming to Moshi Moshi for over 25 years and love this quiet neighborhood spot. The fish is fresh and everything on the menu is delicious... and lots of choices. Great cocktails too.
Decent sushi, nothing OMG but the seafood fried rice was really good.
We had family in town for Thanksgiving weekend, and what could be better than Sushi the next day? There were 8 in our party with a variety of dietary preferences, including vegetarians and gluten-free diners. We are all happy and full by the end of the meal. Also, the Japanese Margarita cocktail was excellent.
The atmosphere is gorgeous with the beautiful lit tree in the center of the restaurant. We love coming to moshi moshi and the sushi rolls are great! They also poor nice stiff drinks.
