Robert provided an amazing service ! Friendly and open to good conversation!
I have long been a fan of Mortons and have been to this location dozens of times. This occasion was a failure. The Caesar Salad had woody tasteless Romain and a dressing so flavourless as to be unrecognizable. The steaks lacked a beefy flavour and were overcooked and mildly dry. The medium 12oz Fillet had a grey layer and the New York was NOT medium rare. The mashed potatoes were neither creamed nor mashed but some inconsistent bland place in between. This was not $600 well spent ... this would not have been $300 well spent. I hope they do better in the future although I might not return.
Dinnerware needs to be cleaned properly. My water glass got a funny foul smell. My dinner plate has signs of oil and fingerprints. Our waiter did change the dinnerware and apologize.
We have requested our 42oz porterhouse in rare yet one side of the steak was an unfortunate medium . Beef is served surprisingly cool, perhaps was a delay to serve from kitchen to our table. Sorry to mention wrapping up with the worst key lime pie I have ever had in 10 years.
Our waiter is the only upside of our whole dinning experience. Attentive and helpful.
I would be reluctant to revisit this restaurant.
Great food. And service.
Food was delicious. Our waitress D was perfect. We loved it and will be back.
Too bad there is no outside patio, it would make the place perfect.
Food was excellent best steak I’ve ever had, the server was beyond amazing polite helpful and friendly do not do her justice. They we’re very accommodating with allergies.
Morton’s was the steak house we chose to celebrate the opening of in-doors dining in Toronto. We had a Cesar salad, a porterhouse and fries. We ordered asparagus, but then, they never came. In a way, it was a good thing because we couldn’t even finish the fries. We asked for a medium-rare steak and a medium-rare steak we got, although I’d dare say that it was almost rare in some parts. However, it was delicious. One letdown is their beer selection. I am a beer guy; hence I wanted a good beer. The best I could get was Heineken, so imagine my surprise. We would definitely return.
Service was slow. I guess just opening up again. Prices raised incredibly high. Steaks now in the mid $70 range. Limited menu
Waitress not the best. Had some attitude.
Food quality was good but way way overpriced. Making up for being closed.
The vibe was missing the service just so so.
Wanted to change a cheese on salad and said did not think kitchen would change it. Finally came back and said ok as we don’t like blue cheese
Won’t go back for a very long time if ever
Fire of all this was our first time going to Morton’s and the Steak we ordered was burnt.. lobster Mac had no flavour.. they style sold out of mash potatoes so we had to get a baked potato that was very bland definitely not worth the money we paid! Would of been better off at Ruth Chris
Fantastic. Highly recommend
Food was cold when served. Dessert was over cooked and the water glasses stunk horribly.
Worse experience ever. Not the typical Morton’s
Was surprised that the food was not as well done as prior visits. Food came out at a lower temperature. Plate was not hot as normal. The artichoke wasn't prepared too well. The Wagyu meatball was okay. Was disappointed as I was looking forward to going to Morton's for a meal.
Lovely birthday dinner for my husband and first time in a restaurant since before the pandemic. Ample room for social distancing, tons of hand sanitizer, great experience. We shared the shrimp cocktail and caesar salad; I had the 6 oz filet and my husband the cajun ribeye and we had the potatoes au gratin, and spinach and mushrooms as sides. Everything was delicious!
I came across the Labour Day special offered this weekend and my husband and I decided to take advantage of what seemed like an amazing deal. We went out for dinner with another couple on Sunday night. The food was delicious, but it was really annoying that when we set down, we were given a regular menu and the set menu advertised on Morton’s website was not offered to us. We asked the waiter for the Labour Day menu and he seemed like he didn’t know what we were taking about, making us explain and ask for it again, which was not appreciated. We were further disappointed by the fact that the bottle of wine which was specifically noted as being included in the set menu on the website was all of a sudden a typo because it is not offered in Ontario. While the advertisement specified other restrictions, this was not one of them. We did not appreciate the false advertising or the fact that our server practically disappeared because we were not ordering from the regular, more expensive menu.
This was our first outing in over 6 months.
The dinner was excellent and portions were generous. Our servers were attentive. Due to the required social distancing, the restaurant was much quieter than we recalled pre-pandemic, but we had a very pleasant experience.
Ate at Toronto Morton’s this evening... sadly the
wuality of food has declined significantly.
My caesar salad was bland, the crab cakes didn’t taste fresh, Brussels sprouts were overcooked. On the upside the filet steak was very good.
Won’t be returning to Morton’s for a long time. Too bad it used to be a favourite spot to dine.
Funny, another friend ate at Mortons earlier in the week and had a similar bad experience. He warned me... I should have listened:(
I always love going to Morton's for Chicago style rib eyes, however the menu was confusing as most items were market price.
No ambience at all, food quality not as good as previous, short staffed took a very long time to get service and food and the prices have dramatically gone up the value just isn’t there as previously. Was shocked at our bill especially with no alcohol. Overall seemed like at least a $25 increase on all steaks and fish at a minimum. Was quite disappointed
Been many times. Food was a disappointing this time. No flavour on the fillet. Rob eye was ok not fantastic. Creme brulee was water had to send back.
It was great service great ambiance. I'm not a steak lover so not the best judge had the smallest filet mignon and it tasted like every other steak to me. The sides were good. Bread and Fries were delish. If you love steak I'm sure you would love it.
Takeout - they are shut down due to Covid and only takeout. They have the nerve to add a "to go" charge on the bill. Takeout is their only option and they are the only one's to charge for takeout.
Food not up to their usual standards. Portions seem small, no bread, and food was cold.
Will save Morton's for the post Covid period.
Horrible service, felt rushed to get out. Didn’t feel the fine dining experience at all. Horrible service again, simple examples: never got any bread, never checked up on, I asked for a straw and never got it. In the middle of eating dinner we are asked if we want desert??? I literally had steak in my mouth and waiter is asking me if I want cake. Moving on, the Steak was burnt. Food had no flavour. Horrible. Never going back and telling everyone I know not to come here.
Great dinner and service for my birthday.
Had a lovely birthday celebration. Server was very attentive. Always enjoy coming to Mortons.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.
waiter was totally scattered.
asked for no bacon on wedge salad, received lots of bacon.
asked for medium steak got well done.
waiter didn't explain properly the 4 versus 8 seafood platter.
there was only 3 of us eating it. he should have explained it was too much food.
we've always ordered the platter for 2 but never asked for a 4 versus 8 . he should have offered the 2 versus 4 for the 3 adults.
then we weren't given side plates for seafood.
our salads came before the platter when we asked for the reverse order.
we ended up having to cancel our main steak dishes based on the overload of seafood that we had.
we felt rushed and the waiter hardly ever came to check.
took 30 minutes for our martinis which were ordered immediately. ice was melted and drink was overflowing. it was crazy busy and noisy. usually we are never disapponted. this time was not a good experience.
We seemed to be an afterthought to the wait staff. Food was delicious.
We were rushed
Great experience with the family. Jason’s service was fantastic
All the food cravings you have will be satisfied here
Wonderful restaurant, great steaks, great service, overall a really good time. I just don’t understand why and how they get away with charging $16 for some fries and a side of vegetables.
Very sad that the onions rings have been removed from the menu. Hoping you consider bringing them back!!!!
Solid. Great steak
Wonderful food and wonderful service!
Excellent service and great food.
We have been to other locations in the US, but would highly recommend this one.
Amazing food and service will be back
Everything is perfect, always come back.
Best steakhouse in Canada.
Morton’s removed the lamb from the menu. Ruined everything. I won’t go back until they bring the lamb back
