Getting a full time job
Amazing! Outstanding! Our waiter was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed. It was my son's 16th Birthday.
My expectations were exceeded during my first experience here
Another great meal at Morton's but I will warn you that they have raised their corkage charge to $55, which is ridiculous
We were extremely disappointed with the overall experience. It started off side ways when we arrived on time and had to wait 10 minutes even though we had a reservation. And when we were seated the maitre d' said "You two" follow me - really? He couldn't even be bothered to keep track of the 2-3 groups who arrived at the same time we did!
The service was the highlight - we had a very accommodating, knowledgeable waitress who saved the evening for us.
The wine list is huge and impressive but totally overpriced (3.5 to 4x what you would pay at the Liquor Store in some cases - at one of our old favs, Delise Court, the owner purposely kept the margin down on his high end wines because he wanted people to drink them - not at Morton's!).
The shrimp cocktail and bone-in rib steak were both excellent but pricey. Don't go for the matchstick fries unless you love truffle oil (note to the chef: it's an overpowering flavour...). For my wife the killer was that they couldn't even be bothered to trim off the ends of the asparagus. They were totally uneatable so we had to cut them off ourselves. Not so bad but when you are paying $500+ for a nice dinner you should expect the kitchen to pay attention to these little details...
Another downer for me was the cinnamon added to the sugar on the rim of my Spanish coffee. Don't get me wrong, I love cinnamon flavoured coffee but not when I already have brandy in there!
Was visiting from out of town. Have been to mortons in Chicago and Cleveland before. Know it has an impeccable reputation. Was disappointed that the visit didn’t compare to the other two properties and not in a good way. Steaknwas great, potatoes warm at best, brussell sprouts warm at best. Waiter not very friendly and basically felt we were being rushed out the door. Hair on the tablecloth.
Very mediocre steak house but it used to be a lot better many years ago. The bar staff was in attentive and busy squabbling over cutting fruit and you could feel the tension come through
Our waitress was the highlight of the night and very professional which made my overall reviews highly
Would I go back no. There are far too many better options in Toronto for the the same money or less
Best food, best service!! always. My favourite restaurant
My desk server/waitress is very nice and friendly!! But the front desk, valet parking guy and manger at the front are super rude, not friendly! Not like!!
Fantastic dinner for our anniversary.
Excellent staff provided a fun and memorable event.
Amazing food and service as always!
The food was enjoyable; however, the service was very disappointing. Our server came to the table few times and was not successful at creating a comfortable atmosphere. Our table left a cash tip and the server appeared to be under the impression there was no tip left after receiving the credit card payment regardless of the fact he was told the gratuity was left in the check booklet... he then walked away from the table and shook his head. This was very unprofessional and inappropriate. I definitely would have been happier with a better experience in regards to the service.
Well our experience was a bit of a disaster because as soon as we sat down, the power went out. Very unfortunate as we were all looking forward to a steak night at Morton’s!
Of all the steakhouses to select from, one cannot go wrong with this institution.
Great service and great food
The service was amazing !! The best in the city. Food was perfect and well presented .
Great food and fabulous environment to relax eat and chat.
Sides were surprisingly mediocre.
Lobster Bisque probably had a little too much cream than I'm used to getting, but flavour was there. Salad was served at a perfect temperature.
Solid wine list. France very well represented in addition to Italy and new world.
Steaks cooked perfectly.
The chandelier atop the stairs to the restroom/private dining areas is disgusting and looks like it hasn't been dusted in fifteen years.
Otherwise, awesome. The front door staff were incredibly polite, management as well.
Awesome service. Great food. Fun ambience. Great for a business meeting!
Always consistent, always good. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is perfect all the time.
Would of been nice if the manager too my Amex issued Morton steak house gift cards At full value. Very shady
Food was delicious, service was well executed. Very enjoyable experience.
The food wasn’t very good. The steak seemed more like a keg meal opposed to a top rated steak house. On top I requested a vegetarian meal and the server literally said “we have every vegetable”. I go to a lot of steakhouses unfortunately I was not pleased with the food one bit.
outstanding steak...great rib eye steak....delicious sweet corn and creamy spinach....probably best steak in town with harbor 60
Great food great service always
Mortons is always my go to place. The server we had yesterday was just fantastic. She really was a please
Great food, great service, perfect for a special celebrations. Hi price for hi quality.
Never disappointed! It is a great steakhouse for fantastic food.
Everything was very good except the steaks! Six steaks ordered only 2 came as requested. The other 4 were all overdone. No point sending them back as our sides were ready and that would mean 2 people eating while the other 4 watched and waited. Also, the steaks lacked seasoning.
We have been coming here every Christmas season for the last 8 years.
Birthday celebration great service great food
Had a great time celebrating friends 65 th birthday. Noise level was especially higher last night. Probably all the Christmas celebrations but we still had a lot of fun. The food was delicious as always.
Amazing Steak. One of my favourite places. The vibe of the restaurant is great too and the service is perfect.
Delicious as always. Great service
Fabulous service great wait staff delicious food!!!
There was a time when Morton’s would make your experience feel really special by coming out showing the cuts of meet and vegetables. This didn’t happen. Also, the sides were average. Overpriced what we got.
It was a joint father-and-son birthday and we have been exploring Toronto-area steakhouses. My son had been to Morton's in Toronto and I had only been to the one in Chicago. He said we had to try Morton's together; off we went and were greeted with a very special touch--menus that had been imprinted with Happy Birthday. The greeting was warm, and the server was friendly, outstanding and knowledgeable. We shared two steaks: the seasonal wagyu and a bone-in ribeye. Were they the best steaks I've ever had? I believe they were! Tender, perfectly cooked, possessed of waves and waves of perfect flavour. I was really impressed. A superior product! The server recommended some excellent Cabernets by the glass, and we started with a wedge salad, also very tasty, and a special cauliflower gratin with truffle oil. We were treated to dessert and espresso macchiato and weren't overly full. I will say this short and succinctly: Morton's is the best steakhouse in Toronto and we have abandoned our search; Morton's is our go to place from now on.
Service and food were exceptional. Thanks to Cheryl, our server, who seemed to anticipate all our needs.
The service was poor. Food was cold and not up to it’s usually standarda
My wife and I are regular patrons at this Morton's and have always felt almost at home here. From Peter greeting us at the door to our friendly and informative wait staff. Keep up the good work.
